  1. Lol see this is exactly what I'm talking about. First of all I never said Jenner didn't deserve the award, but you're already all fired up to tell me why I'm wrong. Second of all you say "we're all ears" as if you're speaking for more people than just yourself. Nope, even though you believe every rational person in the world shares every viewpoint that you hold, you only get to speak for yourself. Finally, your first paragraph almost killed me. Could you have any more of a martyr complex? I think it's time you took a look in the mirror and examined your real motivations here. You don't have to label everyone a bigot just to feel good about yourself.
  2. I think part of the problem is the holier than thou attitude that people like TUP and Fraser here are adopting. This might be shocking but winning an ESPY is not a basic human right. People can disagree with Jenner winning it and not be bigots. Ya, some people probably have some phobic or bigoted motivations for having that opinion, but not everyone is the same way. Some people just think there were more deserving candidates and that's not a bigoted or even intolerant opinion. It's just an opinion.
  3. He has naked pictures of himself and is threatening to release them publicly.
  4. If I wanted to hire a new head coach right now... realistically I have to think Lapo is the only option. No one is going to let you steal their coordinators halfway through a season. Maybe you could convince Benevides, I suppose, but not sure he would be interested considering he stated he wanted the year off from football. That said, I hate mid-season coaching changes. I would give Chamblin the year to figure it out.
  5. Yep you're right. Buono, Higgins, and Don Matthews stand out but the rest had no HC experience before being hired. 2014 Hufnagel 2013 Chamblin 2012 Milanovich 2011 Buono 2010 Trestman 2009 Trestman 2008 Hufnagel 2007 Austin 2006 Buono 2005 Maciocia 2004 Clemons 2003 Higgins 2002 Matthews 2001 Buono
  6. I don't know if Walters and O'Shea are the "right guys" but I do know that Mack/Lapo got to a Grey Cup and Berry/Taman got to a Grey Cup and these guys seem to be better at their respective jobs than those guys ever were.... In my opinion, of course. There is a lot of parity in the league right now. If the Bombers get hot at the right time, they could win it all. Why not? I don't know why so many people stand out on the ledge after a loss. It's one game, we're .500. We almost stole one in Calgary... By which I mean, any win in Calgary has to be considered a steal for the Bombers with their history there. I've been a lot more worried about the team than I am right now... They look ok to me.
  7. Who is going to win tonight?
  8. Agreed. After all those years in the east, Hamilton is right up there with the Riders in terms of teams I love to see lose.
  9. He's been starting at guard for the Stamps for awhile. They have been bringing him along slowly, he came straight out of junior. He competed for the vacant LT spot after Bryant left but I think this will be his first start at tackle.
  10. Montreal has a very good team. Lots of strong veteran players. Just average quarterbacking will be enough for them to make the playoffs in the east.
  11. Using 2 roster spots on returners is a worse idea. Maybe but Stoudermire can back up at receiver and DB and I would even like to see Veltung taking some reps from Adams on offence
  12. Toliver you're cut!!
  13. I don't know why we have to have two extra import DL on the roster as we have been doing. I'd rather see one of those spots go to Stoudermire and leave Veltung on.
  14. Not sure who's going to win this one. I think Hamilton is the better team but I really like Montreal at home.
  15. Otis Amey
  16. What case did he have exactly? Explain please. He signed a contract, played dumb later. The cfl arbitrator upheld that the contract was valid. A non football court later ruled otherwise. The Tiger cats would have won the appeal IMO. The cats were likely so sick of Williams at that point they didn't want him back anyway. If Williams as you say was sure he would win he wouldn't have signed a agreement to return to the Cats. It was a joke to the league that whole situation, likely why the Chris Williams clause is in new cba that teams have to offer the 1 plus 1 to prevent other players from pulling the same sh&t again. He got what he wanted didn't he? Yes he did. thanks for clearing that up. Case closed, so to speak.

  18. Regardless. To say he had "no case" is simply untrue.
  19. Not only does it make no sense for the market but the arena was built long before the return of the NHL was even possible. So we're now talking build an 18,000 seat arena for the Moose. Was never going to happen. Cities are smaller then Winnipeg and building 18k arenas. You build for the future but this is Winnipeg where 4 lane roads are enough. Who? And just because they're building them doesn't mean they'll be successful.
  20. That is what it sounds like. But I'd be interested in seeing the full sequence of events, not one biased individual's take on it.
  21. Well .. technically he won .. he and the Tigercats reached an agreement that he would be allowed to explore NFL opportunities that offseason and that if he wanted to play in the CFL in either 2013-14 he would do so in Hamilton. Not offseason. He signed with the Saints in October while the CFL season was still going. He wanted out of his deal to sign in the NFL and he did. He won. No technically about it.
  22. Williams had no case? He won.
  23. That's such a joke. No chance.
