I'm not sure if that article is even worth worrying about, for a couple reasons. 1. Just because the NDP's supporters want something doesn't mean the NDP is going to do it. If I'm not mistaken, none of the signatories were actual NDP party members. Could be wrong, I didn't read that closely. 2. The type of sweeping changes discussed in the article would be difficult to accomplish with a majority government, but with a minority? Forget it... will never happen. And it will be a cold day in Hell before the NDP win a federal majority.

I think the Jets understand as well as anyone that Ehlers has accomplished everything he possibly could in junior. If he doesn't make the Jets, bet on him playing in Europe.

Only a playoff appearance should save MB's job and if that happens I'll be pretty thrilled. If he's able to right the ship and start getting positive results, why shouldn't he keep his job? Fan grudges?

The "Ehlers has to go to junior or the Jets" thing is overblown. He can also go play in Europe which would be fine... Not so different from the AHL really.

I think the combination of breaking the losing streak and having a capable QB in town will really help the guys relax and get back to business. 9-9 still seems like a stretch to me, but if they win this next game in Montreal and get on a roll, anything is possible.

If I was the GM and I believed in Nichols as a backup QB and wanted Henoc Muamba as well, I would make cuts elsewhere to make it possible. The big-ticket contracts are the most important, they are who you build your team around. Make those decisions first and the rest of the decisions will be made for you.

In a perfect world, we don't see Tajh Boyd throw a pass for us until sometime in 2017. Sure would be nice to have an extended period of stability at QB.

Almost like a guy named Crompton who was 4th on the depth chart and went on to become a 7-1 starter for another team..... what team did he play for before he joined the Als?? Coincidentally because the Esks made a mistake thinking that Nichols was better than Crompton.Nichols is better than Crompton.Not a chance. Definitely. I don't know what you see in Crompton. IMO last season will end up being his greatest accomplishment as a pro. He'll be out of the league by 2017. Every team in the league except Toronto and Calgary would be better with him as their number two QB. Absolutely false. You are wildly overrating Crompton. I'd take him over DeMarco in Ottawa but that's about it. I'd take the chance on an unproven guy like Jeff Matthews in Hamilton before I would go with a mediocre QB like Crompton. He has no future in the CFL. I'm hoping he gets the start this week so we can see exactly what Nichols vs Crompton looks like.

Cato is still at home after a family member got in a bad car crash, undetermined when he will return. Crompton and Marsh have been splitting first team reps.

It is frustrating but he's still our best receiver by a mile and I'm not sure Walters has the ability to replace him with anyone other than another similarly high priced CFL free agent.

Nichols could easily throw 3 interceptions next game and have the whole city hating him. Let's have this conversation again when the season is over and he has led us to a Grey Cup

I think he could use another year in the AHL but he can use this training camp to make a strong case as one of the first call-ups.
