Chungh wasn't a bad pick- he was very serviceable for several years before fleeing home. Yes, Demski turned out to be a very good player, but he served his apprenticeship with the Riders but didn't blossom until he got back home. You pays yer money and you takes yer chances.

Chungh was absolutely the right pick... We were going to take him with our NEXT pick (and I remember that many here, following along live, thought there was a chance we could get Nic with our next pick...) but Taman scooped him. There was a thought that maybe other GMs didn't know as much about Demski, but Taman was still following the Bisons closely and really wanted him... I remember that draft very well.

In regards to Daniels not getting targets…. Is it possible that they view him as a bit of a surprise element for week 1 and didn’t want to put anything about him other than blocking on film.

I think a lot of the nonsense of last night was keeping cards close to the vest.

  3. Where did this narrative come from that Sergio was ever in doubt? He and Sheehan were always the kickers and then hopefully keep the new ones on the PR. Sergio is arguably the best kicker in the league and I thought last night Sheehan was (sadly) maybe our best player... I thought people were joking when they said Serge might not make it. Hilarious.

Corky making the team is actually super funny just because some people's heads might actually explode.

my real concern, aside from the old boys club, is how many guys are about to make this club from the tub.

We don’t get real injury reports, but it looks like a bad list to start the year.

This is scaring the **** out of me. Demski and Vaval have missed virtually all of camp. Ceresna (bad history of injuries) also missed significant time. I feel like it's going to be a rough start to the year.

I'm at the game in Calgary next week... Last year I had to leave at half time because I couldn't stomach anymore. Hoping it's not more of the same...

    Some common sense. Finally.

Holy F! Aside from Sergio, who of relevance played today? Almost nobody. Take a pill, relax. If you saw the depth chart and expected a different result tonight, you can't be helped lol.

This would make sense if they were playing BC starters. But it's back ups vs back ups.... No concern about our current crop of recruits that we got pantsed out there by other back ups in front of the home crowd...?

That is some really good experience if you watched all the games condensed, so thank you for your input. What do you mean that they are "clowning on a guy like Maier in the CFL for being around 90-95"? Serious question, I just don't understand.

We make fun of Maier for having a QBR of 90-95....

From CJOB listening only, Fredrickson sounds like an all-star tonight. Has been one of the best receivers all through camp so he needed this kinda game tape. Hoping he's done enough to stick around...

  8. Ya for what my useless opinion is worth, I'm starting to come around on this deal after reading more and watching In The Huddle yesterday. I think this is going to be good for the league.. good for the players... Good for recruiting if we can bump up the minimum salaries. And if the price point is reasonable, I might even sign up for CFL DAZN, if for no other reason than to support the league.

  9. Actually one of the interesting things I read yesterday is the subscription fee for CFL on DAZN hasn't been set yet. It's not a given that you have to purchase their whole package, containing NFL, Soccer, etc... it's a very real possibility that there will be a cheaper "CFL Only" option. So we shall see... If it was like 5-10 bucks/month for just the CFL, then I might... Just to support the league and see what their product looks like.
