So what I've gathered from MBB after one week of camp is that we completely pooched the draft, our recruitment on offense was garbage, and we're one offensive injury away from going 0-18...?

I wonder if they figure Schoen will be back sometime this year.... I certainly wouldn't be banking on that, but I'm curious if that is somehow in the plans.

And they looked like ass for most of it which was nice. They had a nothing major in the last 30 seconds, otherwise were useless most of the afternoon. I'll take it.

Looking forward to seeing some preseason action to see who stands out but not going to read much into it either. Definitely intrigued now about Fredrickson... At that size, generally, if he was any good he'd be in The League... But I'm definitely cheering for him.

Some sloppiness, some nice plays... Definitely pre season. Calgary stadium still an embarrassing dump. Can't believe the GC is going to showcase that place on national TV.

Yes it's only pre season, and yes it's only Stamps hosting Gappers, but we officially have 2026 CFL football today .. by gar it's been awhile.

Also, the "broadcast", if you want to call it that, is on the CFL website...

When I was growing up in Pinawa in the 90s, the Niverville HC Dwight Hirst was an absolute superstar for Lac Du Bonnet in our minor hockey days. We had a comparable guy in Pinawa, but Hirst was lethal. Awesome to see him having so much success coaching. Good dude.

While openly admitting that I'm an idiot who doesn't know anything, it definitely APPEARS that receiver is the most concerning spot on the team, followed somewhat closely by QB.

-Im not sure that White is the elite superstar they think he is

-Im not sure Pokey is better than Just Pretty Good

-I don't trust Demski to stay healthy at his age

-I think Nield is wildly overrated

-Collaros has been trending downhill for at least two years and there's nobody behind him

I sincerely hope that none of this ends up mattering in the long run, but ... One week into camp, this is what scares me most.

Gabe Wallace apparently started camp last year at 345 and ballooned as the season went on. This year, he's apparently come into camp at 325 after undergoing a strict offseason regimen. Neufeld says he's one of the strongest/most powerful guys he's ever seen.

All of this seems like not very good news...

That would be insane if they did it again in a stadium this size. I've got 1 game in June vs Edm, 2 back to back at the end of July, and Banjo Bowl... So far. Re: Nuer comments... I think it's worth noting that he said them to a Denver based reporter, not a Canadian one. If he's made those comments to Tait, I'd be a little more irked about it.

His arm wasn't shot until he went to Ottawa. He could still make all the throws in 2019 when he last played for us.

I'd put Matty Ice in the Bombers HOF but definitely not the Ring. He's one of the most underrated performers from this glory era.

I just really wanted a guy named McCutcheon on the team... Sad about that. Otherwise, let's get main camp rolling!
