Come on guys, seriously?  Do you actually expect a Riders fan to know the rules AND count to 7 at the same time?  He's only off by one.  Give him some credit for at least getting close.

Its kind of like coming onto another teams fan forum and complaining that they take "shots" at your team.  No idea why people do that and why they are surprised it happens.

Hey guys, losing Wylie sucks but keep your chin up and remember that no matter what, at least we're not Rider fans.

The problem is you find a handful of things and complain about them incessantly, be it Hutch, Thorburn, Stafford or Myers.
This is why people don't remember you saying things like injuries are the problem because overall it is a small percentage of what you post
I don't recall people saying that Helle has been lights out awesome.  The general feeling is he is young and inconsistent.
Im not completely sold on Helle yet, but still not ready to give up on him yet.  That doesn't mean I need to post every day, or every game to say there needs to be a change.
You do bring up some very valid points. The backlash you get is because you are like a dog with a bone and post about the same things incessantly and people get tired of reading the same things over and over and over.
Not saying you have to change the way you post, it is completely up to you and you aren't breaking any rules.  But don't expect people reactions and responses to change either.

If everyone is misinterpreting your posts, is it their fault and should go back and re-read them or should you reflect on how you communicate your thoughts?

Also decent on the PK and one of our most physical players.
    But yeah, gas the jerk.
I understand Ducky's frustration though.  Watching this team mired in last place, night after night is just the worst.
Oh wait, turns out we're second in the western conference and the team ahead of us, we beat them 4-0 last night.

Just because they can bring someone up from the Moose doesnt mean its the best thing for the development of that player.  The idea early was, should Copp play 4th line minutes with the Jets were top six with the moose?  He was specifically tasked with improving his offensive skills so playing the 4th line with the Jets wasnt in the long term best interests.
Perhaps De Leo would be a better 4th line winger, I dont know.  But Maurice seems to think Thorbs playing there doesnt hurt the team so maybe his feeling is, plug Thorbs in rather then take a young player from the Moose and have him player lesser minutes and a lesser role while at the same time scratching a well-liked veteran.  What's the net positive.
The Moose dont exist to "win" as much as they exist to develop players for the Jets but there are a lot of Moose players with the Jets right now due to injury and if you gut your main development roster, it does impact the development of the players still there.  I dont see Thorbs as a net negative in this role.  And neither does Maurice.  As guys return from injury, he likely gets scratches due to players higher up the depth chart coming down and pushing him out.

The rule book is full of terrible wording that can be used to justify lousy calls.
"Leading with the head" gets used all the time.  Freeze a play during a game and what will you see?  Every player who isn't in a backpeddle could be described as leading with their head.  That's the natural angle for running forward.  The tackler's head is the first point of contact on the tackled player for the majority of plays.  What they're actually trying to penalize is the act of using a helmet as a weapon.  So why not get rid of leading with the helmet as a descriptor of a penalty and replace it with using a "helmet as a weapon".  There are 9 guys along the line of scrimmage that bash helmets on nearly every snap yet it's never called.  Why?  Because leading with the helmet isn't actually what they are trying to penalize.
A hit on a defenceless receiver?  Same terrible choice of words, and it once again allows for the literal description to create a grey area.  Anytime a receiver is in the act of making a catch he could be described as defenceless.  What they are trying to get rid of is predatory and unnecessary hits (half of Shea Emry's hits in his career).  The kind of hit where a defensive player tees up on a receiver just because the opportunity presents itself, even though the outcome of the play has been decided.
Does that change of words mean Loffler doesn't get penalized?  Probably not.  Murray Clarke was reaching for that flag before Loffler arrived.  He needs to throw flags on the Bombers like the desert needs rain.  He'd still argue that the hit was predatory and unnecessary.  I'd argue that the ball was tipped off of Arceneaux's hands and was still in the air and in the end zone when that hit happened, so the outcome of the play and Arceneaux's role in it was very much undecided.  It remains a subjective call, but at least the intent of the rule is clearer.  And it doesn't make Murray Clarke a better ref.

Loved the hit...but Loffler could have pulled up or gone by...his intention from the beginning was to nail him. In the end it hurt us two ways...the penalty...and making the lions mad.

If I'm the DC, I would tell Loffler to make the hit every time and to heck with the penalty if it is called.

You don't have to go very far in the CFL, NFL, MLB etc to find instances where a starter was just not on his game that day and was pulled sometimes for a few minutes, sometimes for the whole game. The stubbornness of O'Shea has been an issue for some time and he looks to be very loathe to learn from his mistakes and I believe that sets a bad precedent and example for the team.
And I am betting Durant will stay in Regina.

Regarding losing our starter......would have been enough reason to pull him alone, when it looked like everything went south..On one play where someone whiffed on a block, Nichols was sacked hard and his leg bent backwards...It looked as though he was gumby on that play and I suddenly got a flash of Glenn finishing the season for us...I also remember when Glenn was lost with a broken arm that some fans believe cost us a Cup...I think this game was long over before the last seven minutes AND if Nichols would have been out of action the rest of the season....wellll the assault on Mike O would have been as loud as IGF gets at it's highest decibels..Sometimes game management by this club looks amateurish.

Offensive play calling was off all game. On the first drive, Harris rips his first carry off for 12 yards then we don't go back to him and end up throwing a red zone INT, but ran two goofy reverses/sweeps.
Seemed like any time we were moving the ball effectively, it was when Harris was involved on the drive consistently which was not nearly enough.

I like Derek Taylor's statistics, but this statistical category carries no weight. I've never considered Kohlert to be a yac-yard guy. I want him to be where he's supposed to be, and make that catch.
As for Denmark, yes, Tds do restrict his count, but give him open space and he does fine. He makes tough catches, often in close quarters...same as Tasker. And some of the catches Cunningham makes are ridiculous.
No use following this stat category...it gets no yardage in my books.

I would be on board with:

    Walters: 3yrs Max
    O'shea: 2yrs Max

Anything more and I think we end up going back to the days of huge payouts and not being able to afford the next man up if things go bad....
