Extremely cold and extremely windy at McMahon. I haven't watched the video yet, but based on your posts, I don't think you guys realize how bad the elements were... It was like a playoff-time game, as confirmed by Zach on the OB post game. Just absolutely brutal conditions to play in. The wind was swirling all night and absolutely did change directions which is what kind of ****** the Bombers re: coin toss, etc.
Defense and offense each took turns looking like all stars and then absolute hot steaming garbage. The stamps final scoring drive was embarrassing to sit there and watch.
I, too, was fully expecting a fumble or INT on our final offensive drive. Credit to Zach and the whole offense for getting it done in the clutch. We have the best kicker in the league by a mile... Once they completed that pass to Pokey I knew we had won.
McMahon is an absolute graveyard for us and has been for generations. That, combined with the weather, the fact that it's the first game of the year, on the road.... Just getting out of there with two points is a blessing. I really feel like next week at #FortHew will look better.
Last year I walked out of McMahon at half time of that ludicrous "Stampede Bowl"... This year, redemption.
Mrs Noeller was 0/5 in games attended last year and on the verge of being banned by me and @Coorsman from attending any further Bombers games. As the kick sailed through at the end, she looked at me and said "My curse is lifted!"... She may stay... For now.

If there is no limit on market money, the Bombers should use it extensively. Club has been making bank the past few years.

I don't understand the "hate" for people going South for winter and how it is related to domestic flights being expensive.  I don't believe airlines are subsidizing flights to Mexico by charging more to folks wanting to travel back and forth from Calgary?   The only hate should be Air Canada taking billions from our Gov't and yet still outsourcing most of the jobs and charging customers top dollar for mediocre services.  
Me thinks you are in a time warp and think that it is the 80's where a family could travel via car for an affordable rate while only the rich and upper class can fly to Mexico.    These days it's the opposite,  our family road trips that we take are extremely expensive in comparison for the value that we have when we fly to Mexico.     I've encountered several people in my life who didn't understand going South for winter.... until they went one time and then realized how great it is and after going once couldn't wait until they could go back again.  Many of them regretted waiting so many years until going.   
Leaving Winnipeg in -30 weather and arriving somewhere tropical and getting that blast of hot +25 humid air as you leave the plane is sublime.

Friesen was inducted into the media section of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.  He apparently asked no other than Mike (handled internally) Kelly to induct him.
There is a video of Mike Kelly's induction speech.  Probably not worth the minutes of commercials The Sun will make you watch to see it, but it is the off season.

In one of Kelly's job interviews after the Bombers, they looked him up online and apparently asked him who Friesen was, as a bunch of his articles came up.  Kelly said his response was "someone who did their job better than I did."  

Until of course we hear JT is coming back, gets a veterans pass on the 2026 TC and his goal is to surpass his incredible nine tackle 2025 season.
Yes thank you for your concern I'm seeing a therapist it's all good.

I am not sure who's to blame and I'm not going to pretend I am.  I just think some might think twice and take a closer look, before hiring him.

I would ask JT you still want to play next year? JT’s answer: Yup that’s the plan, I still feel like I contribute. Based on that answer I would then ask MOS I heard JT wants to come back next year and play. What’s your thoughts? MOS’s answer: Excellent, looking forward to what he continues to bring to our club. Based on that answer my next call is to Pinball Clemons letting him know how MOS is ready to become your new GM and head coach.

Once again, I am pissed at the approach taken in a home Grey Cup year.

Don’t like that neither of the new DL are on the roster. I know last week was meaningless but it was still the most consistent pressure on a QB we’ve seen all year. Even just Jenkins to rotate in for Willie would have made a huge difference. 
 
I don’t see the offence suddenly turning it on with the same weak WR corps either. 
Like most on here, my expectations are pretty low for tomorrow. 
 

They're all starters, @HardCoreBlue. All of these plays ooze heart. It's a group full of intangibles. We're just trying to go 1-0 this week.

With Vaval as db depth no need for Lawson Jr as well when another dline guy be it Jenkins..Person..Adams..Jaworski would give us more impact...
And really Ball...again...redundant and pointless as he should never see feild on defence so use his spot for Pererson as BO backup or dual use...did MCI one big run make osh go off in his pants and figure hes arrived..kid will and can be good but as the sole backup...not yet...especially when Peterson has shown hes legit
That receiving group...yikes...and GTD?? Screams shades of previous playoffs and using walking wounded guys...for little to no impact other than hurting the team
No reason we couldn't have went import at reciever and altered our ratio with starters considering we show 9 right now...again...not a shock and typical osh garbage...not expecting much of a whimper out of us and hopefully we can rid ourselves of who's leading this team

With what Jenkins did last week (albeit in a meaningless game) I would have loved to see him added to the DL rotation. 
My expectations for this game are non-existent.  If we somehow squeak out a win, I'll be pleasantly surprised but if we lose it will be a big "meh" and I think that really sums up how I feel about the team this year.

I assume if Demski can't go, they add Peterson back on. 
Chris-Ike would be the back up plan for Brady. 
Razor thin depth on O if you can even call it depth
Brutal that neither of the american DEs that looked great last week get a chance. 
Don't know why we need Ayers and Lawson on the roster at all as back ups really. 

Apathy is the best way to describe how I feel about this season.  I'm definitely not as engaged as I want to be or usually am.
