Has anyone commented on the O-line this week? I'm wondering if we'll see Gray back in.

EDIT: I've checked the Twitter feeds for most of the usual suspects but no one has mentioned anything about the O-line.

a lot of the Left have forgiven him, completely.  This double-standard must end.  All should be forgiven, when they apologize.  Do you not agree with this?

so what?  If these people apologized, then they are on par (or much less guilty) than Blackface Justin Trudeau on the spectrum of committing horrific racist acts.  Would you extend them the same courtesy of forgiveness if they showed contrition?  If not why not?  Pure partisanship?  Hamish is not a racist, and smearing him like this is just so beyond the pale that it really is sad.  Just embarrassingly so.

The breaking point for me was the constant virtue signaling and empty promises in 2015 that I knew he would never keep.  The Blackface thing is just more interesting because it has exposed a ton of hypocrisy on the Left.  Like how Trudeau can be forgiven after apologizing, and yet still babble on about "racist ties" in the Conservatives despite apologies also coming from them as well.  This just makes no sense, and is disingenuous.
See, this just isn't true at all.  Why are you saying these things?  You are just embarrassing yourself.
It was incredibly damaging.  The biggest thing that it accomplished was it took away all of this nonsense about how the Conservatives "have ties to racism" (totally false) as now, we have seen what a giant racist Trudeau is.  So let's forgive everyone for past indiscretions, and move forward, and talk about actual issues.  Which of course favors the Conservatives, as the Liberals have served up a terrible record.
They could think this, but they'd be thinking something incredibly false (racist policy makers?  Really?  You want to go with something that silly?) instead of just acknowledging the truth, which is everyone makes mistakes, and everyone deserves to have their apologies heard and believed.  Everyone.

yes, thank you, as I respect your voting rights.  And in case you weren't sure, my choice of who will lead Canada best is the leader who didn't wear blackface, which is Andrew Scheer.
there is no argument on Earth that stops haters from hating, and so we're just going to have to content ourselves here with apologies.  You are content that Justin Trudeau is genuinely sorry for appearing in Blackface numerous times and committing horrific acts of racism, and I am content that Conservatives that made mistakes in the past are genuinely sorry for their mistakes and also deserve the same treatment - ie forgiveness.  It is disingenuous to say that Scheer's senior staff have "ties to racism", as it would have been disingenuous to say that Hillary Clinton and her staff had "ties to racism", despite how close she was to KKK member Robert Byrd.

In short, you can't have it both ways.  If one guy (Byrd) can be forgiven for his past indiscretions and horrible racism, and Justin Trudeau can be forgiven for his horrible lapses in judgement, then you cannot say that "Scheer has ties to racism" either.  You just can't have it both ways.  It doesn't work that way.
If there weren't constant new footage of the guy running around in BlackFace, maybe I could forget it.  Maybe.  As long as the "racism" card is brought up and lobbed at the Conservatives, completely disingenuously, I'll have to point out the hypocrisy of how easy it was for the Left to forgive Justin Trudeau's insanely stupid racist activity.

Because it seems Canadians are okay with kicking these deficits down the road for the generations after them to clean up. As long as they get their piece of the action today then who cares about their kids or grandchildren. We just can't live within our means anymore.

If you're concerned about tax reform & say the Conservatives aren't helping working class families then aren't you concerned about the Liberals free style spending & continuing deficits for years to come? The promises will increase spending & taxes as well. Usually people who don't like taxes also don't like increased spending because it means higher taxes.  Higher taxes will hurt low income families more than higher income families

Media: After the 4th Q in Montreal (0-21) and then the first half here (10-24) is there some concern with what's going on with the secondary? (45 points yielded in 3 quarters, 15 points a quarter)
    MOS: "No".
    No? Did he say, no?
He went on, in reply to that question, to say ... "I don't think you would have had a second half like you did if that was the case. I think you would have had a whole game like that, y'know, like the first half. I think our guys were just a little too cautious and giving a little too much space against obviously some very good receivers and I thought they did a good job, Hamilton, of getting rid of the ball quickly to kind of nullify our rush. They ran some plays, moved the ball quickly and snapped the ball quickly on us in that 1st half trying to get us tired out, y'know, I don't know if we were ... certainly that 1st half wasn't good enough".
So in summary we couldn't get any pressure because they moved the ball quickly and the secondary was too cautious and gave up too much space, but none of this concerns him even though we lost the second half too but not as badly.
He went on to say something about our record lately (4-5) and how it could have been 6-3 (Sask, Montreal) but that there really still would have been a lot to fix giving up all those points. But no, he's not concerned, it's just a matter of looking at the film and learning.
Then he really blew my mind when he said, we have something new that we're being taught -- we need to learn how to win by coming back in games that we're getting blown out in because we haven't done that much, if at all, and we're going to have to learn how to do that again since we didn't do it against Hamilton because it would have been good to do that but we didn't do it and the guys need to understand that we could be in that situation again and we've got to figure that one out.
So, we are not winning when we have big leads and now, we aren't winning when we are getting stomped.
As usual, all he gave us was that we were going to look at film and learn from it.
    I hope it works.

No better way to prove you're a massive unbearable loser who's a burden to your family, the people you think are your friends, community and world as a whole, than by going onto another team's fan forum in the late hours of a Saturday night, reading back at least two weeks to find a point you can mildly contend with, dusting off the Cheetos grit from your fat sausage-like fingers and pounding away on your filthy semen encrusted keyboard, hoping your autocorrect can somehow translate the mishmash of half-thoughts and basic low IQ into English coherent enough to make you relevant for a moment.
You're relevant now, champ, for about as long as it takes to read this and laugh at you for thinking Hughes is worth half that contract.

The above gets at the very heart of my post yesterday. The one where I rhetorically queried why the head coach gets a free pass (from some) while his coordinators wear it. This led somebody to ask "who you would have hired" in the off season etc etc.  My point was actually not so much about the need to fire the coordinators but rather the need for the head coach to own his decisions over 6 seasons. There has been ample evidence for a long time that the defense (esp) has not been good enough and - for me - the fact that O'Shea has stubbornly (there's that word again) stuck with Hall for this long is evidence that he lacks the wisdom and/or whatever quality it is that allows more successful head coaches to make timely changes.
I'm also 100% with the posters who suggested: a) the current regime is WAAAAAAAAY too much 'we're just one big happy Blue family' here (i.e. they are too tight with one another to wield the accountability that goes with pro sports everywhere else) and b) that it is certainly not the job of fans to figure out who should replace O'Shea or Hall or Lapo or all three. This feels like the equivalent of my sister-in-law who likes to ask my brother - when he critiques the Jets or Bombers - "do you think you could do better?"
If a surgeon continually botches their surgeries, do you ask the suffering patients to perform surgery on themselves if they think they're so hot? Mike O'Shea is the reputed football doctor in the house. But his team seems to get sick most years about this time; right when they need to be in peak condition. Now I'm no doctor but I can certainly tell when somebody appears ill and it's only responsible to, at some point, ask: "Hey, maybe you should get a second opinion? Maybe you need to see a different doctor?"
For what it's worth, my view is that we've seen the Ritchie Hall **** show enough times now that he should have been gone at least 2 years ago. Lapo (though many here will disagree vehemently) gets a longer leash from me because - overall - the Bombers have scored more points during his tenure here than most other franchises and I think he has consistently been working with a QB (Nichols) with a lower ceiling and considerably less athleticism than the "biggest dogs" we gotta compete with (i.e. Calgary, Hamilton, Edmonton, and now Montreal and Sask).
So for me it comes back to O'Shea. He hired Hall and has stuck with him. He (unlike the other most successful coaches in the CFL - e.g. Buono, Dickenson - who have had success and won championships with different coordinators) has been unwilling to pull the trigger on a switch when needed. I think he is a very likeable and fiercely loyal guy whose players love him and that's great and all...BUT I don't think he's nearly as sharp as the other guys I just mentioned and I have certainly come to doubt whether he will ever get us the holy grail. So for me - like Blue and Gold said - anything short of a Grey Cup appearance and his head's gotta roll. Way too late for him to change coordinators now and save his skin.

I was a big Hefney fan when he played for us. That has nothing to do with choosing to sell drugs or using them for that matter and yes.. you and many others are making excuses for him.
Popularity, who brought it in, who profits from it and how much over the limit he sold aren't the issues. Legality is the issue. Hefney knew it was illegal and should have known that he could get 9 years or more for selling cocaine. He did it anyway. That's on him.

It matters because he entertained us for many years playing a brutally rugged sport that ravaged his body, especially his right shoulder, and caused him to suffer long after his career was over and the medical benefits stopped. Unfortunately, the medical benefit money only flowed during the brief period he was eligible to collect it. It was not enough.
I'm not making excuses for him but I'm willing to bet Mr. Hefney was using cocaine as a pain killer to sooth the many aches and pains that arose as a result of playing professional football and enduring the painful surgeries that he suffered. He may have been selling it as a means to supplement the cost as well as the expense of physiotherapy and other medical bills for which he was not being compensated.
He wasn't just some "dude". He was a great football player with a strong work ethic, strong character, and was once a very talented CFL AllStar and a one-time Winnipeg Blue Bomber.
Yes he got caught and will do his time. No one argues with this. What is outrageous though is that he was sentenced to nine years in the American prison system for selling a few grams of cocaine. That's insane! In the U.S.  the same crime is a slap on the wrist for a white person.
The punishment doesn't fit the crime. Cocaine is one of the most popular recreational drugs out there and yes, some people can develop an addiction to it, just like they can with alcohol, nicotene, caffeine and a host of other perfectly legal and far more dangerous drugs in the U.S.A. Can you say hypocrisy?
No matter what lead Mr. Hefney to make the decision to sell a few grams of cocaine, locking him up for 9 years will not do him, or anyone else not profiting from the American penal system, any good. Taking his few grams of cocaine away will not make even the smallest of dents in the cocaine supply as there are literally TONS of the stuff available for consumption across the USA and there is evidence that most of it was likely brought into that country by the American Government itself.

See- it's **** like this that gets my goat. No one is saying that the loss is solely on the refs for not ejecting vaj. It's an issue, a huge one that has big ramifications. The Bombers did enough (didn't do enough?) to lose that game, but that shouldn't dismiss the fact vaj should have been ejected. I don't think anyone would have thought that would have been a controversial call if they ejected him.

Im just saying Adams trying to legit injure someone and not getting ejected for it is a problem. Its actually the biggest problem. Imagine he connected hard and bighill got knocked out?  Ya the D sucked.. Ya OC DC are 2 conservative but a guy legit tried to injure a guy and theres barely a peep from anyone about it.

this might sound ridiculous, but I kind of thought it in the Toronto game earlier in the year..... is this coaching staff just too nice, and don't want to run up the score?  That seems to be the only reason I can come up with as far as "letting off the gas" goes.   There was a play late in the 2nd, where Winston Rose closed on the ball and just swatted it away with one hand.  Dunigan made the comment that he probably makes the pick if he gets both his hands up (and it looked like he definitely could have).  Was the coaching staff already maybe coaching the players down telling them take it easy and don't run up the score and look like a$$h***s??
They seem to lack that killer instinct, and I'm seriously wondering if it's just trying to be too classy of a team and not kick a team while they're down??   Problem is, you can come back with little time left in this league, and maybe they should be a$$h***s and run that score up when they have the opportunity!

Ive said it before. Name me a "players coach" in either league who has had lasting success? All the great ones are hard asses that the players respect and almost fear. Those coaches expect the players/other coaches to perform, and when they don't, they are replaced. MOS is a coddler who always has a thousand excuses.
