MC got a reaction from bearpants in Bombers recruiting Derel Walker
Not if arguing about the earth being flat. I just went outside and put a level on the ground. The level showed the ground to be flat. End of story.

MC reacted to Mr Dee in 2019 GREY CUP CHAMPIONS!!!
I stand by my stance that in-game interviews set up by TSN are the stupidest idea they have put out, a close second to having Rod Black as a PBP announcer. The cherry on top of this poor decision was the Grey Cup game. Highly embarrassing for the CFL, the fans, and I bet poor Keith was regretting the decision to go up in the booth.
He’ll never do the CFL again. He might even write a half-assed half time song about that experience.

Didn't really ask any questions, he didn't have any answers to stuff I didn't already know, league suspended to-date as of July 1, 2020 etc. etc.
As for the 2020 season tickets, they've been a fine organization and I've retained both my invoice and proof of payment, I'm not too concerned about getting scammed etc., and thankfully I'm not in a position right now where I would need the money that urgently.
I think they are in the same position as many businesses in the country and world right now, cloud of uncertainty and just trying to stay afloat.

The guys who were shamelessly pumping Simonise's tires want to believe they were right about him, so the story becomes 'he wasn't given a chance'. It's easier than admitting they were wrong in the first place.

You can put whatever you want on those masks and they still look silly and I think people wearing them look silly. Now, are they helpful and keeping people safe and healthy? Absolutely. No question. But I think if it's "stay home" or "wear a mask", I'm going to just stay home.

And there will be some here yet again predicting that this new league will kill the CFL.

June who? And why is the NBA looking for her? If she is traveling then none of their referees will spot her.

MC reacted to GCn20 in Bombers bringing back Willie Jefferson
I would be shocked if Buck deviated greatly from Lapo's approach to running an offence and play calling. Why would he? This offence has been very successful over the past few years. We will see a ton of Andrew, and a ton of short passes again this year.

Actually the whole vaccination causes autism argument was never about proof. The argument was the equivalent of: Global warming wasn't a problem before Celine Dion was born, therefore she is responsible for global warming. We now have to decide whether to drive electric cars or sacrifice Celine on top of the Richardson building.

If they were doing their homework before the started, they already planned to play in empty stadiums. They should be good.

MC reacted to johnzo in 2019-20 Grey Cup Champs Off-season discussion.
for a lot of those bad years, no matter how badly we were getting crushed, there was always hope when Jovon returned a punt. Guy sparked so many rallies over the years. had a huge role in the Casey Printers retirement game .. played out of his mind during that brief hopeful three game win streak of 2009 .. along with guys like Terrance Edwards he was one of the very few reasons to watch the Bombers for a long stretch.
Thanks for your time as a bomber, Mr. Johnson and all the best for your next act.

I'm not necessarily in favour of removing the rouge... but this is a terrible analogy... the equivalent would be giving a team automatic points for dropping a TD pass...

I think the extra point on a missed field goal is stupid. Right now a field goal that is kicked nowhere near the uprights still counts for a point but it if barely misses and hits an upright or crossbar, there is no point awarded. That makes no sense whatsoever.
If we are going to award participation trophies to prove how Canadian we are, then we should at least be consistent. You get a point because you tried your very best to kick that ball through those posts. I could see how much it meant to you and how sad it made you not get 3 points - so here you can have 1. Keep working at it and I know you can get it all the way through the next time!
A much better rule would be to still award a rouge only on punts not returned from the endzone. It would allow for some very interesting decisions. You are behind by a point with no time left on your 35 yard line. Do you try to win the game with a field goal or do you tie by punting it out into the corner of the endzone?
And the "stay true to rugby rules" also holds no water. We have never stopped changing the rules from that of rugby. We have changed the scoring, the ball, the field, the equipment, and the entire way the game is played. This is where you draw the line? You are completely good with changing the entire game as to make it completely unrecognizable, but you better not touch this one bizarre rule even though it is no longer relevant.

I further should add in my defence regarding my ill considered post, I watch the game, but have radio play by play on, instead of the TSN play by play. even with lag.
