Dragon37 got a reaction from SPuDS in Game Day Driving Experience
We park in the blue lot by that cool gray building with the big blue panoramic window. Getting out is waaaaay faster. The no right turn off ChancellorMatheson is no issue at all as I just take Waverly to McGillivary to Pembina to my Dads house on Jessie. Even though the game started half hour later than Thursday games last year, I have to drive farther to get my Dad home and back through the city to get back to #1 I got back to Portage la Prairie a full hour earlier than normal. So yes my driving experience is massively, massively better.

There is no rationale for spending the millions required to mandate full time officials, and in the process lose some of the best officials we have already.  The overall officiating is good in the CFL.  The understanding of the rules by the media (especially) and the fans is terrible.  Whenever I hear a commentator analyze a DPI on whether the defender turned his head or whether there was contact at 5 yards, or whether a defender's hand contacted the QB's helmet, it makes me want to scream.  If you are paid to speak about the game, the least you should do is understand the actual rules.
If you have to slow down a play to the point of going frame to frame to determine a challenge, then the onfield decision should never be overturned.  And if the rule calls for an official to make a judgement call (ex:  uncatchable ball) then that cannot be reviewed - otherwise, it is not a judgement.
If you do not like a rule, then that is discussion for the offseason (ex: contacting a receiver away from the play).  Officials have to officiate the games according to the rules.  And the rules shouldn't change during the season.
The officials are human and will make mistakes and errors in judgement, but so does everyone else playing and coaching the game.
If you think the CFL officials are so bad, try watching every other major professional sport.

They both have a decent helping of truth. I worry about or lackluster systems, but more about mos being soo player friendly that the team plays half a game every game. But no one is on the hot seat or with in close sight of it imo.
We are a mid tier quality team. With mid tier quality coaching. We are deeply invested into mos and hes earned time to see if he can take the next step forward.

I just look at the Calgary Stampeders, and sure they have Tate now, but at one point, BLM was the back-up there, and stepped up. Now, I'm not saying Davis is BLM, and I'm not saying every back up is going to be a superstar, but I think at some point you have to take that chance. Let the guy sink or swim on his own merits...

    1. decide on the coach. (extend MOS or whatever)
    2. fix holes and upgrade as needed
    3. extend Walters. If he has another year on his contract there is no reason to move on this before the first two. In fact they can work on this along the way.

    1. Not all refs are full time in the NFL and being full time doesn't guarantee anything. I have often heard the reffing in the NFL isn't any better. How good or bad refs are will not be improved by paying them more. It is also a completely unnecessary cost to the league. Do you really want to pay timekeepers and the guys who work the sticks paid all year?
    2. Scrap reviews. Reffing is a human venture and as such is fraught with mistakes. You simply cannot see everything and, in many cases, the refs get the call right. Yeah it sucks when they miss calls but that's life.
    3. Only change rules if they require it and they should be only further defined.
    4. Stop changing rules to continually benefit the offenses. For example, I also like seeing offenses challenged by a strong defensive line which has been all but eliminated by constant holding. The officials have already been forced to enforce PI and, frankly, it has improved the play of defenders. Now enforce holding so that those hard working DL can work their magic and we can have better OL.

I believe Wild's play was injury related. He'll come back next year & hopefully stay healthy & will have a much better season. Wild's a very good player.

I agree with most your points, but I'd like to point out a couple things
    1. We beat the riders last year in regina in week 1, it's the LDC we broke the curse of.
    5. Glad we got such a clutch kicker, but the only knock on breaking the record is our O was faltering a little too much, unable to finish drives, capitalize often enough. That needs to improve in 2017
i'd also add a 9. sweeping the home and home with the riders and lions, division rivals no less was pretty huge and showed a lot of the teams character winning close hard fought games

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed with the outcome of the Western semi, that said there are definitely some bright spots from this year to building on.
    1. Beat the Riders at home for the first time in forever.
    2. O-line - Flat out won games for us and were able to protect Nichols and help grind the clock with Harris to put games away late.
    3. Free agent signings in the off-season that actually panned out (Harris, Medlock and Dressler - personally I think the jury's still out on Smith).
    4. The Drew Willy trade - the 1st rounder will be hugely helpful. Also, glad to see Glenn back as a bomber. Interesting side note for all the Glenn-haters - Glenn didn't throw any interceptions as a Bomber this year (He also only had 4 pass attempts).
    5. Medlock breaking the single-season record for most field goals.
    6. I know O'Shea will be critiqued for some of his calls, but I've got to say I can't remember the last time the Bombers had a special teams unit that was advantageous overall against opposing teams. Between the good kick coverage, Medlock's fantastic year, and some interesting trick plays, opposing teams are thinking twice on 3rd down. If there's one area we could improve on, I would argue it's our return game...
    7. The thing I find most impressive about the best record in 13 years is that the Blue and Gold managed to achieve it whilst competing this year in the hyper-competitive western division. Consider that of our 7 losses, only 1 of them came against what ended up being a non-playoff team (Montreal - Week 1) and 3 of them were against Calgary.
    8. Playoffs - say what you will about that game but this year was definitely a step forward in that we made it to the post-season.
As always it's another "maybe next year" feeling, which kind of sucks, but at the same time, it's nice to have something to look forward to.

Big news today that both Stanley Bryant and Justin Medlock re-negotiated midseason for cap reasons and are now pending free agents. Walters sounded confident they will be brought back, however.

Great season considering how we started and where we ended up, Bombers need to fill some holes ie deep threat receiver , elite pass rusher to complement Westerman and a MLB , Bass is a good player but not in the middle offer Nichols a good contract but don't break the bank, draft the best o lineman available with the second pick. Overall not the ending i hoped for but very happy with the year.

So the Bombers are finished for another year. Sad yes but I was certain that they wouldn't be in this position when the year started. Yeah they had some good players but they never seemed to get their act together.
Well, they made me eat crow and I honestly could not be happier of that. Yeah it would have been great to go further but I thought we were just a few pieces short to do so. Surprisingly I was okay with that because this team showed me they are for real and it has been a very long, long time since I have gone into the off-season very optimistic that they ARE a few pieces away. Not even 2011 left me with that feeling.
So I could whine and ***** about today but I would much rather enjoy the huge steps forward this team took. That has been a hard thing to obtain for the Bombers. I can easily wait a bit more because there is now light at the end of the tunnel when I thought we hadn't even entered it yet.
Thanks to all the 2016 Bombers you brought a lot pride and honour back to this franchise and community.

Like I said it was both side of the ball that did not do enough in the second half. Trying the FG was stupid but it never should have come to having to choose. That is not letting off the coaches. If both sides of the ball fail to do their jobs then that can definitely be hung on the coaches. The TEAM was simply not good enough in the second half.
