I cant wait to see Loffler this year, not having to cover up Hurl's play will free him up a ton. Hoping for a big year from him, and some massive hits

Every is talking about what a great punter Menard-Briere was, but was anyone else concerned about the number of long punt returns against when he was punting? I wonder if directionally he wasn't that strong. Just speculating.
it seemed like he took a long time to get the ball off and was coming close to getting blocked alot from what I saw

can we really evaluate our QBs if we put this lineup out against BC's starters?

Hodge is terrible, he thinks he's some kind of "insider"

**** is the season going to end before it even begins...

anyone see the seat map on ticketmaster for the game Friday? very few tickets shown as available and it looks close to a sell out, which is odd for a preseason game. Am I missing something? or are people just pumped to see this team get going?

The West continuously getting the crap kicked out of it by the ''weak east'' in the Grey Cup really takes away from the argument of making the radical change of changing the playoff seeding .
Well the 5th best team got an easier path to the Grey Cup over more deserving teams so the format is still flawed. Also, wouldn't say they got the crap kicked out of them after leading the majority of the game until late.

Need a Canadian backup for Loffler I guess. More punt blocks to come, dude has 6 in his career!

Just read where the former Ice Edge idiots are looking at putting a team in Halifax. If I was the CFL or Halifax, I would stay as far away from those clowns as possible.

enlighten me, why is this a bad thing?

Felix Menard-Briere didn't attempt a single field goal this season for the Carabins, he was just their punter.
FG kicking was the area of his game he needed work on, thought him going back to school would let him work it out. thats disappointing to hear.

this could be what you're referring to: https://carabins.umontreal.ca/football/felix-menard-briere-sacre-meilleur-joueur-des-unites-speciales/

So, your confounding logic is to blame the OC of an offense that was tops in the league in several categories, as opposed to acknowledge the real problems that held back this team the last two seasons... Simply because you don't like him. That's pretty childish.
Say it with me, delusional

Lapo extension is great news. Now for Hall's replacement...

He'd be hardly too raw to be a rush end guy...thats nonesense. He's maybe 260 now and that is hardly too big to be an end, as he is a mid 4.7 forty guy.
Don't be fooled by posted weights and stats as most DE's here are ranging from 240 to 265 pounds...theres a few lighter guys but not that many...
Also if we are back with HALL and this apparent scheme Mulumba would be head and shoulders above what Hurl or anyone else gave us in that position.
He's bigger, yet faster, has better explosion, a better blitzer and can get off blocks to make a tackle...so him in the middle isn't such a longshot or bad idea...also...have you ever heard of a player dropping weight or adding weight to adapt to a position?..happens all the time and if he dropped weight,,,he becomes faster too and he already can run a 4.7 forty at that weight...which matches many a MLB speed in the CFL...Many of the big hitters are in the high 4.6 to high 4.7's..
Can you be our next DC please?

He's lucky he had Nichols and Harris to save his ass.
But hey, you read the stats without putting any thought into them at all, good for you.
Hall is lucky he had ballhawks to make his defence look good, at least in terms of turnovers.

Offence isnt perfect, but how can anyone point to that as the teams biggest issue? Lapo is doing his job, the defense needs to be fixed.
-
Is Hall under contract for next season or is he up? What about Lapo?

Injuries suck but all teams have to deal with them. Depth is key a d you to look no further then the Eskimos to see the difference in depth between the Bombers and their opponents.
Not that I disagree with you, but when Edmonton had all their injuries mounting up they went on a big losing streak. Got some key players back and they ended the year on a winning streak.
-
Hurl at MLB is so glaringly bad, I don't understand how he's lasted this long.
-
Of course the defensive issues played a role in the loss, but the fake punt scenario was just such an easy disaster to avoid. tie game, just punt it. That was the turning point and we never recovered. Hopefully Hall is gone next year though.
