Really need Dressler back this week, our WR situation is terrible right now. Cant have JFG, Coates, and Lankford all starting. Washington is meh, makes some dumb decisions after the catch sometimes. Would like to see one of the more recent WR signings like Givens take some snaps. Hope Darvin is ok...

JFG, Coates, & Lankford starting...gross (almost as gross as Tims new Buffalo latte, wtf)
BC is going to be cheating off those guys, Nichols is going to have to exploit this if that happens. Im still uneasy with those three all starting.
-
Tracy is fined, but no surprise there. Guy is a dirty scumbag.
-
I worry about our offence with JFG & Coates starting and no Flanders.

the thing is, both Santos and (regular version) Knox were given the opportunity to win the MACK spot in camp, and didn't do it.....
Knox was, but I don't think Santos-Knox was given much of a chance there? Or am I remembering that right?

why do you think Wild/Santos could cover the MACK spot? Remember when Bass had a superb run on the outside and then tried to convert to the middle?
well, can it be any worse than Hurl right now? Dont know until you try them out there. Of course, this is all based on the assumption that Wild is ready to come back to game action, which I really doubt.

Combo of wild-santos-leggett could make up for a lot... probably change a couple big plays against into big stops
hurl doesn't have closing speed for hall's passive D so he's using hurl as an extra DL... like our new greg peach....
would mean we have to start 2 Canadian WRs then since Hurl would be coming out.

Lankford kicking field goals at practice....HUH....emergency I guess....This kid seems to be very versatile BUT maybe he should polish the best part of his game first....I can see why we keep him around....just wind him up and put him in....No guarantee's though
He's able to play many positions poorly and not one productively. What a gem.
should never have even made the roster to begin with.

Thorpe has to be kicking himself. Wish he would have stuck around

Ya... Coates.
Does Coates being the holder for Medlock not factor into weather or not he plays teams? To add to that, hes already our backup holder.

what the actual **** is going on with Westerman??
-
1. Darvin - He was locked in Friday night
2. Harris - Did not disappoint in the bad weather
3. Moe - Not even for the INT & fumble recovery, but just because he seemed to be everywhere on defence.
HH: Flanders with some nice production when he saw snaps

This game is reminding me a bit of last season's home tilt vs. the Ti-Cats, only it's against an even more unproven third string QB.
Please no weather delay!

Gonna be a rainy night, really hope this is a game where Harris demoralizes them on the ground. Hope he goes for 100+ & a TD at least tonight. Get Flanders involved too.

looks infinitely better than that unlicensed xbox game from a while back, not sure whatever happened to that even but it looked like trash anyways. Ill download thihs later for sure

Actually I think quite the opposite. Santos-Knox is really good sideline to sideline..very fast to react and is good at scraping down the line and picking the right angle to cut off the outside stuff. I'm actually looking forward to see if he can continue this and up his game with more starting reps, and getting used to different looks. I think he may just be our diamond in the rough on defense this year
I agree completely on Stantos-Knox, I was more framing Corney as the issue on outside runs. But maybe if Stantos-Knox can keep it up, Corney can focus on the pass rush since I dont think hes great when the ball is run on his side of the field. Stantos-Knox has been great all year on special teams even before he got the start against sask
-
We are going to be vulnerable against outside runs I think. Something I noticed in Corney's play this year is he tends to outrun the play and often times RBs run right past him. And Im not sold on our LBs outside of Leggett just yet. Maybe he's gotten better at this, and maybe Stantos-Knox has another strong game to help stop these kinds of runs, but so far I have not been impressed with Corney. Hope he proves me wrong tomorrow.

Sounds like he asked for his release.
Besides he hasnt played in weeks. We are 8 and 3.
OMG time to panic cuz a guy on the PR was let go.
I'm not panicking that he was let go, but my point is that Thorpe should have never been pulled out of the lineup. He was great during his short stint starting and I think he would add more (consistently) to the offence over someone like Lankford.

Activate his SPC. The team has the right to do so.
Probably a dumb question, but what is an SPC?

Wasn't it Walters a few years ago that preached that you are always looking to improve, even by small increments, because it all adds up?
Other teams gearing up for the playoffs appear to be subscribing to this.
The Bombers?
If he asked for his release what other option did they have? To me, that's the only logical explanation.
-
Why cut Thorpe over Washington, makes no sense. He must have asked for his release.

Small sample size, but Stantos-Knox did more in one start than Kyle Knox has done since he took over for Wild. Will be disappointed to see Kyle Knox get the start assuming they are both healthy.

Look what our d-line was able to do with both Nevis and Poop starting. We need to keep that going forward.
