why do you think Wild/Santos could cover the MACK spot? Remember when Bass had a superb run on the outside and then tried to convert to the middle?

well, can it be any worse than Hurl right now? Dont know until you try them out there. Of course, this is all based on the assumption that Wild is ready to come back to game action, which I really doubt.

Combo of wild-santos-leggett could make up for a lot...  probably change a couple big plays against into big stops

hurl doesn't have closing speed for hall's passive D so he's using hurl as an extra DL... like our new greg peach....

would mean we have to start 2 Canadian WRs then since Hurl would be coming out.

Lankford kicking field goals at practice....HUH....emergency I guess....This kid seems to be very versatile BUT maybe he should polish the best part of his game first....I can see why we keep him around....just wind him up and put him in....No guarantee's though

He's able to play many positions poorly and not one productively. What a gem.

should never have even made the roster to begin with.

Actually I think quite the opposite. Santos-Knox is really good sideline to sideline..very fast to react and is good at scraping down the line and picking the right angle to cut off the outside stuff.  I'm actually looking forward to see if he can continue this and up his game with more starting reps, and getting used to different looks. I think he may just be our diamond in the rough on defense this year

I agree completely on Stantos-Knox, I was more framing Corney as the issue on outside runs. But maybe if Stantos-Knox can keep it up, Corney can focus on the pass rush since I dont think hes great when the ball is run on his side of the field. Stantos-Knox has been great all year on special teams even before he got the start against sask

  5. We are going to be vulnerable against outside runs I think. Something I noticed in Corney's play this year is he tends to outrun the play and often times RBs run right past him. And Im not sold on our LBs outside of Leggett just yet. Maybe he's gotten better at this, and maybe Stantos-Knox has another strong game to help stop these kinds of runs, but so far I have not been impressed with Corney. Hope he proves me wrong tomorrow.

Sounds like he asked for his release.

Besides he hasnt played in weeks. We are 8 and 3.

OMG time to panic cuz a guy on the PR was let go.

I'm not panicking  that he was let go, but my point is that Thorpe should have never been pulled out of the lineup. He was great during his short stint starting and I think he would add more (consistently) to the offence over someone like Lankford.

Wasn't it Walters a few years ago that preached that you are always looking to improve, even by small increments, because it all adds up?

Other teams gearing up for the playoffs appear to be subscribing to this.

    The Bombers?

If he asked for his release what other option did they have? To me, that's the only logical explanation.
