  1. Over the last couple weeks, haven't our depth charts showed 8 starting Canadians? (Harris, JFG, Chung, Goose, Westi, Jake Thomas, Loffler, Hurl) So why couldn't Bass be put in the middle without other changes needed?

Quite honestly, I'm not a fan of Hurl so my analysis is going to be biased, and Im not sure how well Bass would be suited for a MLB role vs weakside, but I just dont think Hurl is a starting MLB. Stantos-Knox looked good at weakside LB last week, its only one game but it was promising so Im not sure I would want to move him just yet to make room for Bass.

First in total points scored. First in rushing yards, top 3 in not turning the ball over on offence, QB leading the league in QUAR, 8-3 record.

Not sure how anyone can point to Lapo (or the offence in general) as a weakness of this team. As others have pointed out, occasionally he out-thinks himself, but he has been a great play caller since returning to the Bombers. And our offence has to be this good in order to make up for a defense that, while generating alot of turnovers, gives up more yards and points than any other team.

Apparently, Wild's cast on hand is off and is day-to-day. I'm guessing he will come off the 6-gamer this week.

From talking to people with connections to the Bombers (friend of a friend thing) which I understand is second hand info, but it sounds like Wild is done for the better part of the remaining schedule, if not the rest of the year entirely. May be bullshit, but I don't expect to see him again this season.

  4. I didnt think the game was that bad after the first quarter - it was just too big a hole to dig out of - especially when the home team steals momentum so quickly on an annual rivalry game. Would have liked to see the riders legitimately defend against a hurry up offence rather than pull a ***** card out of their back pocket, but I guess thats just a chris jones team.

Ill be at the Banjo Bowl, round 2 will be better

  5. Richie needs to go, too much talent on defense being wasted under him. We are generating turnovers which is saving him at the moment, but the amount of yards we give up is crazy.  Okapalugo has under performed since coming back from injury, and while I agree it'll take a few games for him to get back up to speed, how long will it be before we put Poop back in the lineup?

Im really not too worried about the offence other than getting Thorpe back on the gameday roster. Lankford is garbage as a WR and isnt a game breaker on special teams - should have  been Lankford getting the boot rather than Thorpe when Dressler came back, it was clear before the game and is just as clear now.

  6. I think Lankford should have come out of the lineup. Thorpe can also return kicks, he set school records in college returning kicks. Plus, hes a better receiver than Lankford is. You can really make a case for any of these players in terms of arguing they should stay in the lineup - a good problem to have I suppose.

  7. 1. Randle

    2. Denmark

    3.  Harris - not as flashy of a performance as last week, but a workman's effort and some hard fought yards.

Honorable mentions: Leggett (strip sack), Medlock (obvious), Nichols (steady game, no turnovers, one before the half shouldn't really count), Adams (clutch 2-pt. conversion), JFG (ol' reliable), Jeffcoat (all around strong game, seemed to be getting pressure often).

  8. Harris looked ok after taking that hit which is a relief. Jeffcoat looked to be hurt pretty bad, walked off the field but I didn't see him come back into the game at all, can anyone confirm?

Also, Alexander I'm not sure was even hurt, looked like he may have just needed to fix his knee brace which looked to have come loose on the play. Hope that's all it was.
