To put it in to perspective... The most listened to radio station in manitoba is...
CBC..
CJOB is a close 2nd
1290 is way down near the bottom at number 11.
All I'm saying is after Bob is finished with calling the games I'm not exactly looking forward to what CJOB can offer.

@shadybob diasgree all you like... CJOB is the big time in this Province... 1290 is on the lower end of the totem pole. Its how it is... Jets are the only thing they have that draws numbers and even then its not that high...
1290 dies when the Jets leave that station.
same could be said for CJOB and the Bombers rights. I get there is some nostalgia there, and the reach of CJOB is larger than 1290 as pointed out here, and that's a fair point, so I understand the reasoning behind it. Just throwing my two cents out there about what Id like to see.

Don't quote me, but I believe CJOB is a much higher wattage...signal carries a lot farther.
Fair point. I mean TSN could improve it if it is that big of an issue. Besides you can stream the radio over the web, I do that on my phone alot already.

Irving still sounds as good today as he ever did, so let him keep on rolling. There's nobody in the independent media (Ed's gonna hate that I typed this...) that I trust more than Bob when it comes to Bombers news.
Really? I mean to each their own, but Bob is great at calling games but he's the last person I would rely on for news. I always see other guys break news on twitter during the day and Bob usually has a tweet about it later that night, sometimes with conflicting info. I love listening to him call games, but for news, dont think thats his specialty. Bauming is the best reporter covering the Bombers by far in my opinion. Just would like to see TSN take over some day.

How is it terrible? The bottom line is CJOB works everywhere in Manitoba.. 1290 does not.
Just think TSN could do a better job with it, after Bob is done with it of course.
How is 1290 not available everywhere in MB?

What is Westerman's arm brace was just a decoy and he's actually coming back for the playoffs? I can dream right?
In all seriousness, if Darvin is able to go I will be ecstatic. He is what our offence needs right now!

Medlock won special teams?? lol

All the local media reporting Neufeld to start for Bond and Foketi for Hardrick...
meanwhile, Paul Wicek is crying that the team tried to deceive him by putting Bond and Hardrick as the starters...
its almost as if Wicek isnt a reporter. If he watched practice (or any of the other local media's twitter accounts for that matter) he would have known that. How does that hack have a job?

Easy way to fix this, or at least improve on last week - play both Nevis and Poop! Its so easy! We need Nevis to stop the run game since Hurl isnt going to do ****. Plus, with both Nevis and Poop on the interior, there seems to be more pressure on the QB. Cant step up in the pocket when the interior tackles get a decent push towards the QB.

and he ended up on another practice roster lol
Should have just stuck it out.

A little concerned with Fogg starting in Leggetts spot and now listed as both PR AND KR. I love to see Fogg get the ball more on special teams, but there is also greater chance for injury.
Who else returns kicks besides Lankford and Dressler?
Givens is returning kicks by the sound of it

2 imports have to be scratched. Foketi and ....?
Let’s hope Knox.
Could be Porter too? Likely a LB given the amount they have on the depth chart this week though

Finally no Lankford on the roster. Little worried about Washington, hopefully he proves me wrong though. Very nice to see Dressler and Wild back, however little Wild might play. And please for fucks sake, play both Nevis and Poop this week, they are a two man wrecking crew when they're in the game, both in terms of QB pressures and shutting down the run game.

Isn't it a very similar situation to Westerman? I thought they played the same position in the NFL.
not in terms of experience

Signing a RB, is this a sign that Flanders may miss more time? At the very least they are preparing for that scenario, however unlikely/likely it is.

Is a trade like that even possible with the deadline having passed last week, though?
**** Im a dumbass. guess not, thanks for pointing that out

I really like our D-line with both Nevis & Poop starting with Thomas rotating in, Corney coming along nicely too. Would be great to have Westerman in there as well, but Jeffcoat is really playing well, Oka starting to pick it up too. For those reasons I would try and trade him to try and get a positional need, i,e, WR or LB. I trust Walters whatever happens.

I worry that there will be alot of empty seats at the game. If you look on Ticketmaster theres still on ton of seats available.
