Not uncommon for casual fans to like "fan-favourite" players over actual good players... I remember the casual fan outrage when we released Jason Vega last year... good player but he certainly didn't live up to the contract he had...
Greg Peach... seems like a nice guy, good leader, probably a good locker room guy... but all that means nothing if you can't play...
I know this is totally unrelated to the discussion but that last part perfectly describes Mark Stuart with the Jets. Sorry, continue on.

You think we are low right now, just wait until this happens at home next week. I'm actually at a loss right now, besides firing almost everybody I don't know how to fix this mess. During a grey cup hosting year for us too...

We should trade our first round pick in next year's CFL Draft for a veteran qb who can come in & play. Oh wait....
Maybe Waggoner can throw the ball?

The team folds not because they just saw Willy get hurt and leave the game, but because they see Brohm come into it.

Lets not panic about Goosen. Chung is actually older then him, which I found interesting.

Wonder if Bastien will take over Feoli-Gudino's role since he hasn't been great so far this season
Bastien has been just as bad if not worse. So I doubt it. And to be fair, JFG only really struggled in the Hamilton game.
Just hope one of those 2 guys steps up soon.

Nate Collins is what 6'5 330 lbs I would think he is everything you want in a NT. Harlan is not a small guy either.
He is listed at 6'2 294 lbs

my general feeling this week is that when it comes to concussions, everyone is a doctor with 8 phd's and have done decades of research about concussions.

27,000 for tonight is kinda weak, hope the walk up crowd can boost this number

If I had to predict the 44 man roster today ...
QB - Willy, Brohm, Marve
RB - Cotton, Normand
FB - Pontbriand
REC - Moore, Denmark, Adams, Gordon, Kohlert, Feoli-Gudino, Richards, Bastien
OL - Bryant, Greaves, Picard, Chungh, Daniels, Goossen
DL - Westerman, Turner, Anderson, Peach, Gibson, I. Brown, Collins
LB - Hurl, Wright, Randle, Waggoner, Newman, Briggs
DB - Adams, Washington, Richardson, Bucknor, Jones, Unamba
S - Leggett, Sherman
K - Hajrullahu
LS - Rempel
KR - Stoudermire (whoever wins the job will go here until he's healthy - maybe Anderson? or maybe they split between Cotton/Gordon and dress a guy like Cameron Marshall also)
You think they will have Normand at RB? When they drafted him I was hoping he could be the "thunder" back that everyone keeps mentioning. He's a similar size to Messam, might be useful to wear down defences and then change pace with either Cotton or Anderson (whoever is left standing after cuts). What do you think?

For the first time in a long time, I don't think depth will be a key problem for us in 2015. We're starting 10 Canadians tomorrow... we have capable Canadian backups for all 3 interior OL positions (Goossen for all 3, Neufeld/Chungh for either G position). And although it's pretty much acknowledged that Newman and Sherman won't start; an injury to Westerman won't hoop us, as we've still got Bucknor on D as our 7th CDN, and capable players in Newman and Sherman.
We also should have the flexibility to start EITHER Kohlert or JFG/Bastien if we want to play Moore, Denmark, Darvin, and Jhomo (or Clemons).
Walters and his team have done a really great job retooling in about a year and a half on the job.
That, and we have Ivan Brown behind Westerman on the depth chart

I just hope we can get a stream of the game like we did against Toronto. I did a quick search on twitter but couldn't find anything, has there been any mention of another stream?
-
Surprised Brown and Tuinei are gone. Also, Millington gets the axe and Jordan Reaves is still here, hope he can continue to get better and make some noise
-
I haven't been a big Brohm fan, but he has been the most consistent thus far. Marve brings a spark, but his injury history and how heavily he depends on his legs make me nervous. Portis didn't look particularly good against Toronto, he will have to put on a show in the final preseason game but even then I'm not sure how he fits into the mix.

besides that punt return, our RBs were horrible last night. Was happy to see Goossen and Chung play well though.

I hope they move him back to corner this season. If so, does Leggett stay at SAM with Harris at safety?
