In theme with the lean era, Chris Matthews was bright while he was here, even though he was surrounded by garbage and a revolving door at QB.

Would it make me a "hater" if I pointed out all the empty seats?

Lost in it all part III:
Although the D didn't have a particularly spectacular night, they did stuff the Als on 1st and goal from our 1 after the crazy fumble recovery by Cunningham at the end of the 3rd. The extra 4 points from a TD would've meant the Bombers (hypothetically) would've needed 16 points (still a 2-score game), instead of 12, and that would've only tied it.

Man, Edmonton looks like a force thus far this year.

If the receivers feet had touched the ground out of bounds he would not be eligible to play the ball. He didn't. And while it was really close, the ball didn't touch the ground out of bounds either. Live ball.
Stupid decision that worked out for them. Just like Thomas handing the ball off to Knox worked out for us last week.

I'm really starting to think you don't like much in terms of the bombers and/or cfl.
Other than the around the league thread and reg season bomber thread, most of your threads are negative towards the bombers and/or the refs;
GDT vs Mtl starts with stating we have average NI's and how DD > Nichols..etc What would it take to fire a Coordinator Causes: 2 & Outs, late game fading, jekyll & hyde is it time to professionalize refs - complaining about refs that you thanked in another thread for gifting the bombers a win from the heavens
Now I'm not saying people shouldn't bring up the negatives, or put their head in the sands, but you've really become habitually fixated on only the negative side of things

It's one of the reasons I am such a big fan of MOS. You can tell when he thinks a guy is dumber than a sack of hammers and treats them as such.

It would help if Wiecek actually paid attention at practice instead of playing on his phone but I'm not a trained journalist, so what do I know?

this.. exactly to a tee. Its fine to point out flaws. its fine to be critical when it is apparent and warranted.. to embellish the negatives, ignore any positives and purposely slag the team, coaches and management like these last few articles have done is beyond dumb. I get it, shock and awe sells papers but I can definitely say these 2 idiots dont represent me or any of the fans I know..
the vendetta that they have towards the bombers is astounding. I don't care what happened to her when she was a he but lets try and be a little more neutral and actually write about truth and things that are happening, not "this fan says this.. and that fan says that.. so everyone must think it so!"

No matter how much kvetching, any fan who shows up and pays their money has the right to vent. God knows, the team has played poorly enough on occasion to warrant the complaints. When fans do not care enough to complain, the team is in deep trouble.

I'm going to go on a little rant here......
In my section on the west side I sit with a group of STH's who have been together since the old place. My irritation with their negativity is beginning to get to the point where I'm thinking about moving to a different section. Last night the people behind me, who know more than the coach and gm, were unreal. Bitching about the offence, the defence, the coaching, and of course the ref's. Even after a good play they seemed to be able to find a reason to complain.
Man I was happy when the left, and I gotta say even happier when we won!! Next home game I'm going to tell them to leave even earlier, cause it's clearly beneficial to the team!!
I guess I just feel like we're supposed to be fans, so let's cheer on the team. If nothing they do is going to make you happy, then don't bother coming.

If it's any consolation, his parting words on the pregame were that he wanted to make his deadline (for his newspaper column) ... nothing like 13 points in the final 100 seconds to botch his column I'm sure.

Aiding the Bombers was the fact that guys like Thorpe were able to take those short catches and fight hard for extra yards to keep the chains moving. You make the short throws you gotta make sure you get extra yards out of it otherwise you still wind up punting.

In most situations, the Prevent D in that situation, up by multiple scores, minimal time on the clock... works. If it didn't work... teams wouldn't play it and would do other things as you're suggesting.

Not only do you have an avvy of 'Cactus'....you are starting to mix up the teams like he did LOL...(Just yankin your chain Bannatyne)...I remember Wells calling a Bomber game at home and after he had more than a few had the Stamps playing Edmonton in our park...lol...He also used to give the race results from the track and he came up with this gem...'It was Jingle Balls in the stretch and down to the wire...and I'm not touching that with a ten foot pole" ...Quite a character was ol Jack
