wbbfan reacted to do or die in Rookie Camp
Still remember a road game in TO, with Lapo....when we kicked 2 field goals....from inside the 5 yd line.

mostly because he has the same name as the lead singer of Def Leppard.

Still remember Joey Elliot coming off the field and throwing his helmet down in disgust in a game against the Lions because Lapo called a draw on a second and five just so he could get the field goal, rather than take a risk to get the first down and go in for score. Then we ended up losing the game on a FG by BC on the last play of the game. That was Lapo's last game as HC.

Way, way past time, that we recruited some real stud import OL types.... while pursuing the long term plan (enough quality Canucks on line)
Hopefully, this year is the charm....

I don't care how they do it but Wild and Bass need to be on the field at the same time...

Here's mine...
Our media are morons. It rained.
I'll say this... unless one of the forum members were there... I doubt since it poured.... I'd refer folks to Mike O'shea and the interviews on the bomber site and twitter

wbbfan reacted to Mr Dee in Rookie Camp
Well, Ed Tait was there...
Making positive first impressions were:
DE Trent Corney: the club’s first pick in the 2016 CFL Draft got to the ball quickly and was dominant in the first one-on-one drills with the O-line. Yes, it’s early, but…
RB Tim Flanders: the late addition flashed some speed during the session. Question is, how might the club find room for him or any import back with Andrew Harris expected to start?
QB Brian Bennett: the veteran pivots stepped aside to let Bennett and Dominique Davis take most of the reps. Bennett showcased a strong arm.
WR Jace Davis: Polished route runner with good wheels.

wbbfan reacted to WBBFanWest in Is Henoc Muamba pi**ing away his football career?
Signing one and only one contract with the Bombers can scarcely be called "bleeding blue and gold" and as for playing hard every down, isn't that sort of expected? So really, can't ask for much less.

Kirk Penton @PentonKirk The #Bombers have signed two more draft picks, OL Michael Couture and WR Alex Vitt. Only DE Trent Corney remains unsigned.

When you say it like that it could be nice in the future to hear play by play like "The Butcher knifed through the line and just slaughtered the quarterback". I can raise a glass to that kind of future.

Bombers sign The Butcher, The New Renaud and Intzandt today.....those were the easy ones. The top picks will take a little more finesse, I'd think, with signing bonuses and such.

Draft Class Rankings: #1 Winnipeg Blue Bombers
- Trent Corney had the highest SPARQ score of any NFL draft D-line prospect and gave Top 10 NFL pick Ronnie Stanley fits in his game vs Notre Dame, now he can back up Jamaal Westerman and rip up special teams till his time to shine comes.
- Michael Couture is a great lineman who may have an immediate impact on the team’s offensive line.
- Winnipeg stole a starting safety in Taylor Loffler at #19 and now have a great deal of ratio flexibility.
- Shayne Gauthier is a good linebacker who can play lots on the teams.
- Zachary Instzandt provides O-line depth but has the potential to develop into a very good player.
- Rupert Butcher dominated at the Combine and he is a steal at #46 who can challenge to sit behind Keith Shologan on the depth chart
- Alex Vitt and Frank Renaud-Berroa can both be excellent special team’s contributors.
In my mind, Winnipeg added four future starters in this draft and won this draft hands down.

#9 - Edmonton #8 - Toronto. #7 - Montreal. #6 Ottawa #5 Sask. #4 Calgary #3 BC #2 Hamilton
Of course...this is only one guy's opinion and heaven forbid he could be right.

Blame the TiCats or Tommy Condel with out there opening at OC this would not of happened. Really a bigger issue for McMaster.
