  1. As is so often the case, the key to winning this game will be the final score,
  2. For me, the difference is simple. With Castillo, I expect him to make it and I'm surprised when he doesn't. For Liegghio, I was worried he'd miss and relieved when he didn't. It's all about expectations.
  3. Hey Siri, could you please explain what a complete failed attempt at a joke is?
  4. There's a saying in golf - "You can't win a tournament on Thursday, but you can lose one". Has nothing to do with the discussion, but I do like golf.
  5. Don't think this has been posted yet and I know that Booch would want to see it asap: https://winnipegsun.com/sports/bombers-db-evan-holm-looks-to-carry-outstanding-training-camp-into-cfl-regular-season?utm_term=Autofeed&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook&fbclid=IwAR1RcDS6PS7mnYBs4DtUJ_SAGfEoDNV4gfE7TwM_8KEQ82KeaGcVGRhvvxs#Echobox=1686176471
  6. or... sometimes people can be really good at most parts of their jobs, and not so good at one specific portion of it.
  7. When TBurg finds a topic where he can be a contrarian and have people react:
  8. Some people remember the time just after the ice age. It was way cooler back then.
  9. I hope you stopped and thanked him for everything he's done for the online Bomber community. I don't think he gets the recognition he wants...
  10. Yay, new tag line for me! Trump pays in advance ... Lawyer 201
  11. The golf course is really nice. Try to get there for a round each year.
  12. The point is that you have to consider all the things that a player brings. Yes, passport (nationality) and physical assets are different, but both are what a player brings to the table. And, I did agree with his first sentence, thus the suggestion that if only he had stopped there...
  13. If you had only stopped at the end of the first sentence. The problem is that you do have to take the passport into account because that's part of the whole package. Sort of like saying "If it wasn't for his drive, Milt would have been just another slightly above average receiver."
  14. I believe he became the national spokesman for the STS* society * Swollen ******** Syndrome
  15. For what it's worth, my friends in Saskatchewan are saying that this is the wrong time of the year for a combine. This is harrower/seeder season.
  16. Personally, I've really grown to hate the term "training camp fodder", even though I know I've used it in the past myself. These are athletes chasing a dream and for them to be in camp means that the team sees something in them. Sure, some guys might have a slim chance at making the team, but they're not fodder, they're taking their shot, and good luck to them..
  17. I agree. I just wish there was some way of insuring that a certain number of starting positions on each team had to be citizens of the country in which the games are played in. That way citizens would have some opportunity but there could still be people from other countries able to compete too. Oh well, a system like that would probably be way too complicated to be practical.
