I get so pissed off when people talk about how the TiCats should've/could've won that game "if not for the holding call bringing it back!"....completely ignoring the fact that the only reason he was able to break the run was because of the holding call(s)!! I hate me some Stamps (and more importantly their fans) but they deserved that game...

Hard to beat someone 3 times. These last few years, not to be rude, the riders have had a better team and have had the advantage. If there was a year for you guys to sweep, its this year. We'll know this Saturday where our season is heading. Another dismal performance against the Stamps and I'd say the bombers sweep is a definite possibility. The bombers are a better team right now, but as I said before, with out Drew it makes it a lot tighter

Lots of guys are in Jasper Simmons' place & don't do what he & his agent did. Not everyone can play & start.They don't run to twitter & start bitching. If he's being held "hostage" by the Stamps like he claims & doesn't like it then he should quit & do something else with his life. In a story yesterday it was reported that Simmons is getting his full salary whether he dresses or not. So, this stuff about not being able to take care of his family is rubbish.
Two years ago Sean Lemon was backing up Corderro Law & wasn't dressing for games like Simmons is now. John Hufnagel said he was in his office every week complaining & saying he wanted to play. At the time, Lemon was extremely upset. Huff told him to be patient & continue to work hard. Well, Law left for the NFL & Lemon got his chance with the Stamps last season & had a great year. Now he's getting a shot with the 49ers. Lemon never bitched publicly like Simmons did or had his agent call out the Stampeders. He just went about his business & acted like a pro even though he was unhappy. Things certainly worked out for Lemon since. 

Nobody follows the riders and loves them more than I do. I have bled green since the day I was born. Its also just a game, its not putting food in my kids mouth or paying my mortgage. Not much sense in me crying about it all year. I'm far more worried about the price of oil, that does scare me. As far as the Riders, let the jokes fly, we'll be back. I'm not worried.

You don't think the illegal block call was a legit call? It definitely was. NTM there was still enough time on the clock for them to win it, they didn't close the deal.  That's my 2 cents anyway.

To be honest with you, I thought O'Shea would be that kind of coach when you guys hired him. Mike was ultra mean on the field when he played. A guy you always wanted to keep an eye on. I figured a O'Shea coached team would be a mean group. Not insulting the Bombers and saying they aren't tough or anything, but that really hasn't been o shea's style a head coach. Even on special teams in Toronto he was mean and had a fiery unit when he coached there.  

Agree with what u are saying. Austin never shuts it down. If he was calling off the dogs he would have pulled Collaros out of the game.

this injury and all the sacks can be blamed on a lot of people. Willy for holding the ball too long and diving head first on his runs. Only an ostrich would disregard his place in this. I actually put more blame on our OC than the line. Cotton is running for more nearly 5 yards a carry this year, so the line can clearly run block. I cant imagine that they're so horrible at pass blocking but can consistently give Cotton a 4.8 ypc average.
 
MB knows we have a pocket qb, and so do opposing defenses. We haven't been able to draw up a playbook and scheme that will give Willy a consistent safety valve to dump the ball off, screen plays to take advantage of blitzing, and quick developing short yardage routes. Almost every single pass play you see guys running at least 10 yards before making a cut or a slant. Ridiculous. 
 
It's super easy to just lay blame at the offensive line but the reality is nothing is that easy or simple.

That's a huge bummer about Heenan. I always root for CFL alums, no matter what team they come from.

Injury bug is spreading from the Riders current roster to even former players now dropping like flies. Seriously though its crappy to see. I'm not saying this because he is a Sask kid but its nice when our young Canadian products return healthy from NFL try outs to be able to resume career's here later on.

What did you think of the hit Glenn took before half time? Right under the chin with a helmet, was really wondering why that wasn't a call.  The worst call/ non-call in the Bomber game IMO was the first interception by Brohm. One edm defending shielded the receiver away from the ball and the other caught it. If that isn't pass interference I don't know what is. Pathetic that the Esks get those calls. Later on O'Shea had to challenge to get the other interference call on another int by the Esks. Jones gets those calls the same way Buono and Mathews used to because they stand there and chew on the refs the whole game on the sidelines so the refs give them the calls. Quiet coaches like O"shea and Chamblin aren't getting the close calls because the refs know they won't biatch about it. IMHO

I'm sure that Taman's a nice man, but I have never had sympathy for people who will take on a leadership role and then let someone else dictate to them.  If you want to be the GM then be the GM.  If the president tells you to do something and you disagree, you tell him to take a hike.  Sure you might get fired but what sort of leader are you if you are simply warming a chair and letting some one else call the shots that should be your responsibility?  The answer is: Brendan Taman
