  1. 29 YEARS!!! I have 3 sons.  The middle one is 12 and the only sports fan. Telling him how I was 14 in 1984 and to remember this.  He’s a big Raptors fan so probably thinks this is normal.   I remember 1990 like it was yesterday.  My current licence plate ends with 34N.  My mnemonic is 34 is Greg Battle’s number.  2 interceptions.  2019.  Harris. Jefferson. Jeffcoat.  The German.  Everybody.  Much maligned midget Rider halfback crying.  I am very very happy.  My Edmonton  cousin I last talked about sports to in the WHA days called.  Over the moon.  Fuuuuuuuuuuuck.    Way too much beer, but I need to drink some go for Do or Die.

  2. Can’t be important to go to work today.

Really hoping for good showing in the trenches.   Saw bombers live in Vancouver 2 weeks ok  — first game in few years — kids and wife actually liked it — and was very relieved and happy to watch our OLine — their play and their attitude — Gray pumping up others before the game (little chest strikes) — and the play to the whistle and beyond.

Want Jefferson and Matthews to make all-star plays.

And Harris runs all over them. It’s a blowout and Brady gets to play.  Demski scores.  Winnipeg boys all proud.

Wish I was in Winnipeg today.  Who says that?

    I regularly search eBay for those jerseys. I have a 63 that I'm quite fond of...want a 71 sometime...

The centrepiece of my cave is a (reportedly) game worn 71 from eBay.   My unnaturally large son never remembers why his dad makes him wear 63 when he plays OLine.  38 would be pretty cool too.  Please one of these years can the Bombers make some memories for my kids.

Keeping the faith on Vancouver Island.

Very grateful for training camp updates —- way more detail than Bombers website.

  4. Mark F:   I love close games when the Bombers aren’t playing... but give me 60-0 for the Bombers every game and I’ll be very happy.

I still have nightmares of Lulay coming in the game and our D over and over again almost catching him then him escaping for another first down.

But also great BC Place memories of 1990 with Battle’s INTs and Nick Benjamin’s downfield kick coverage (not to  mention the last you know what) and 2009 with Fred Reid’s 260 yards they can never stop us feeling.

  5. The “non-import” receivers had me thinking of Joe Pop too.  Almost like real weapons rather than token Canadians.

Loved Mo on the last play of a blowout game downfield first to tackle returner.  He makes me believe.

Happy Oline always a good thing.

For 25 years why can’t we discover new quarterbacks like other teams.  Maybe ....

Blowing out other team ... huge yardage discrepancy ... for us ... feels like the mid80s again.

(It was just Montreal) NA NA NA NA can’t hear you.

  6. Flanders good -- but much credit to OLINE.  Also love the confidence we seem to have with 3rd down gambles.

Love the emotion from Loffler -- seems to inspire.

I hate playing against running quarterbacks.

I love that we are the steamroller -- hang on, don't worry eventually the bombers will roll.  Quite the opposite script of recent years.

I hoping this is more 1990 (meh offence, good when needed, great D), rather than 2001 (many close wins adding up to impressive number, but slightly less impressive team).  My memory could be faulty.

I really hope I feel this positive after Calgary.

  7. Late to the party.  I normally hate losing any player.  I worry Milanovich sees something in Willy.  He might know more than me.  Willy got harder to watch partly because announcers often talked about him like he was an established starter.  He wasn't.  We just decided he was, from a small sample size, then he got injured forever, and nobody took his job.

If Willy becomes Collaros or Harris, too bad for the Bombers.  But what else could we do?  Ex-starters often need to be backups with new teams -- too hard on the team you lost your job on.  First round is good currency for an international.  We got a veteran backup who wants to be here.  And provides some nostalgia -- I watch Milt's miracle catch frequently.
