  1. Past hour
  2. Yep not a great look at all. Our GM needs to get to work. That's fair. I just don't see the talent we are leaving off the field, or at least not enough of it to make a difference and change us into a Grey Cup team. We are nowhere near that right now no matter who we dress and where. That's on the GM and I agree is being made worse by the coaches. My argument that dissing coaches when we are winning is not right and I stand by that. When it starts creating losses you damn skippy I want better coaching and GMing.
  3. Check down RB or receiver - 6 of one, half a dozen of the other Anyway, here are their numbers for passing and running attempts. (Wikipedia) Harris (2016-2021): 1194 / 5 = 239 / season Oliviera (2021 - 2024): 922 / 4 = 231 / season Their busiest seasons are actually quite similar. Harris: 2017: 294 2019: 295 Oliviera: 2023: 298 2024: 296
  4. Sad fact of the day, we have scored 20 points or less in 4 out of 6 games and 4 out of the last 5.
  5. Today
  6. Someone needs to answer publicly for that, I think there needs to be an explanation given as to why we sunk 160k (lots upfront) into a receiver that we aren’t even considering using
  7. I'm going to have faith that Oliviera finally gets a score .
  8. I like some of the changes. Bridges out is good. Parker should theoretically play better on the corner than at Safety. If J. Jones is on, don’t see the need for both Ayers and Wilson. Could have used Cam Allen or Mitchell. Even Bailey would have made more sense. Corcoran = 2025 Allan Boyko.
  9. That is actually exactly how Hall ran Ds for most of his career as a DC, and did many times here. Match-zone gives enough cushion to allow pass attempts. The adjustment JY made mid-last year was dropping a DL for an extra DB in a package. But that's not new by any means. Harris wasn't used a lot as a receiver; he caught a bunch of passes as a check-down RB. Which we also do with Brady. Brady had 1200 receiving yards in 2022-2024. In 2023, Bradie's heaviest year for caries, he had a total of 298 touches; the following year, he had 296. In Andrews' highest catch year, he had 294, and the next year, 297. Brady had 57 catches last year. Harris got more throws on block and release than Brady, but that is again on the upswing. They both got similar touches, and Brady has had more carries than Harris has at any point in his career.
  10. Does Mitchell get his full salary now that he's on the PR?
  11. When Lapo posted all that stuff, breaking down the Bombers' D last season, that is not how Hall ran his D. Harris was also used a lot as a receiver, especially when Nichols was under centre.
  12. But people said before even seeing it shake out that Bridges was gonna be a bad choice... no hindsight required. What makes you think people can't make similar judgements at other positions? And that's exactly what coaches and gms get paid to do. So why do ours resist making these obvious changes? 1/3rd of the season to make changes people here said should happen on day 1... not a great look.
  13. and if we force a ton of work to Demski...and he gets hurt....we are royally screwed....heck...we screwed I think as it is so if any of the "starters" goes down....we effed.....and now...what If Lofton gets re-injured?...my oh my....
  14. with 7 canadians on offence...why even have a Canadian on field for defense every snap?...
  15. I agree. The defense looks a little better - but the offense really is a sad affair. No receivers that scare anyone and an OL that is poor at best. I doubt Streveler will scare anyone with his passing other that our coach.
  16. The other aspect, and it seems contrary to where the rest of the league (at least US teams) are going, is this is a very “trade friendly” contract. Might not want to hear this but as we get even more haves and have nots on this league, Chevy may want to restock somewhat as our main guys age out.
  17. we have 18 lb/db's rostered...thats over 2/3rds of the gane day roster...thats insane and bizzare
  18. Hamilton vs LoElks... gimme Lawler all day, everyday against that secondary.
  19. I'd much rather Cam Allen on given the D we play with all the DB's. Why do you need Wilson, Jones x2, Ayers (yeah special teams) when the majority of snaps for the D you have one true LB on the field, 2 if they are in 30 front which they've used less since Person has been on? Cam Allen 6'1 200 pounds. Play him at dime, play him at boundary corner where Bonds is getting absolutely exposed week after week, play him as a 2 high safety, push Parker down into SAM sometimes. I bet Argos pick on Bonds and Parker in this game.
  20. Better D for sure ...changes starting to make a little sense....Never thought we'd see any ...only the same ol regurgitated bull$hit ...What a bust Mitchell signing was....what the hell is going on with this guy....He either wants to play or show him the bloody door....What a bunch of mamby pamby crap the way this guy is being handled...AND to think a guy like Gino Lewis was out there in fa and we come up with this dud....Luv to see Cooley get in the line-up....one of the changes should have been at returner....I'd like to see Cooley get a shot...it sure as heck can't be any worse than the current ' five yard and flop return' guy we now employ....I got a feeling that Arbuckle is going to feel a lot more heat in this one....no more passing record attempts by this guy....Hope the weather holds ...should be a good one
  21. yeah....no game breakers or legit threats that require real attention...and can be easy to take BO away from us until we show different...I expect a keep in front coverage with lotsa guys in the box and them baiting us into nickel and diming it for extended long drives to actually score a TD....and not sure if we gonna be able to do that. Maybe BO goes off like a machine and Strev as well channels some of his old self and we control things that way Encouraging part...we have the guys on defence this game to really be active....match up way better and possibly be in Arbuckles kitchen all night...so we may win a defensive slugfest....Defence and ST definately gonna have to pull this one out....Have zero belief that with Hogan calling shots...and what he has to work with that we are gonna score more than 2 TD's on offense
  22. If he's willing to stick around on the PR may as well keep him.
  23. Agree that collectively our whole defence has been sub-par with only 2 or 3 consistently solid.
  24. if what's being used aint doing the job....intelligence says try a different config....considering we told they all starter material...and if that's not better....get rid of them piece by piece until they actually play well....we dont do that...but we may be seeing that now to a certain degree....so I consider that progress....now the part about coaching them up effectively....we dont know who is better....cause we havnt tried anyone really other than Person getting on and it actually made us better...made WJ and Vaughters better too...so in essence we agree....But Right now most the blame has to be shouldered by Osh as he picked his roster...If the other's now getting a chance suck as bad...or worse...then yup..Walters better step shitup
