  1. Past hour
  2. Let's do this. Maximum effort. Foot on the gas to the final whistle.
  3. As I said to 17. Quote where I said people shouldn't talk about it.
  4. Sorry, can you quote the part where I said people aren't allowed to talk about it? Or are we ONLY allowed to talk about roster management and how undeniably shitty things are with this 5-4 team. And how hopeless it all is. Would that be better? Am I being too positive for you? Id start a thread about how mos isnt going anywhere but im sure you'd start talking about roster management in it again, so I won't.
  5. Today
  6. No he is not.... so that means we just stop talking about the team? Win or lose tonight Hogan isn't going anywhere so no one comment on the offensive game plan or playcalling. Win or lose collaros isn't going anywhere so nobody talk about his play either. You see how dumb that sounds?
  7. I was there too ... it would be easy not to follow the bombers and after 2013 habit was nearly gone ... but then they hired O'Shea. Had been a fan of his since his rookie year with the TiCats. That dude was pure game at his peak. Plays that went his way were simply ended, and he could go sideline to sideline. Was so geeked in 2014 and when Nichols arrived and we turned the corner in 2016 I knew I'd be a fan for the rest of my life.
  8. Wasn't that 2009? I went to a game that year with a similar score. Medlock missed like a 57 yarder for Toronto. It was so empty at Skydome you could hear me cheering on the telecast.
  9. I'm most interested in seeing Logan as a tailback. Brady's taking a pounding this year and having someone who could spell him would be awesome.
  10. I'm hoping they can actually do something in the 3rd quarter and if needed make an adjustment or two.... it seems like they havn't been able to do this all season long.
  11. Also looking forward in seeing what Logan has.
  12. That was in 2009 and it took a missed Toronto walk off FG (by Medlock of all people) at the end to win it.
  13. I'm not sure how people on a discussion board discussing issues they have with roster management (and other BB football decisions/approaches) and how it could be improved to help us secure a win have lost with touch with reality? I follow along for the most part and rarely see someone suggest MOS needs to go, be fired. To me saying he's not going to get fired anytime soon means anyone who raises ongoing issues with his decisions mean they have lost touch with reality. But that's just me and I haven't read every post and I could indeed be missing something here. I'd rather see a discussion board full of opinions than a discussion board that sets a limit on what can be talked about and for how long. We all (most?) know none of this is within our control, our influence (that reality part you refer to) but it's great to chat about it anyways.
  14. my questions going into the game: 1. can Hogan put together 60 minutes of good offense? 2. does Collaros continue to build chemistry with Wheatfall? Really liked what I saw from Lord Keric last week. Played with a lot of courage.
  15. If I was a DC, I think I'd like to have the opposing OC/HC with that primary mindset. Allows the ability to lay defensive traps etc.
  16. He was talking about Trevor Harris and TWIG one time and I just laughed. Classic Lapo. Take what is given...
  17. The big thing with Swaggerville was generating turnovers. But on the other side of ball, the O was mostly anemic. I remember them beating the Argos 13 - 12, with something like half a dozen turnovers from the D.
  18. Keys to the game, Remember the Run. Haven't had a dominant run game in a long time this year. Especially with logan back in, we have to run the offence through the run game. Any given back up, gotta beat em. We've seen just about every back up qb tear us up over the years. Gotta take advantage of the als missing qb1 and let the D feast. The replacements, gotta succeed. Lots of change this year in the secondary, ol, wr, and rb/back up. Aside from vaval as a KR, we haven't found that great next guy up this year. We could really use that, but barring that we atleast gotta have guys step up to be stalwarts for us. Players to watch, Wallace, rando, Logan, WJ (quiet out side of his big game this year) the wrs with schoen back practicing hopefully it motivates guys to step up, and the secondary. Any of em could be victims to brutal calls again, but we have a more talented group than we started the year with. A younger group too, who should at some point show flashes or more than flashes even.
  19. That's a bit revisionist. We didn't pro-actively bring Jones in to replace AB- Biggie was already on the 6 game list (injured May 15) and when we brought Jones in after Edmonton cut him (signed June 9). Jones also then sat on the PR for another month (added to the AR July 15). He didn't see a lot of meaningful action until Aug 18 against BC (he had 3 tackles in 3 games prior to that). Biggie got hurt during that game & again went on the 6 game list so Jones took over at that point (biggie only played 1 more game as a Bomber).
  20. 2013 almost broke me as a fan. I came VERY close to giving up my season tickets after that year.
  21. Even to this day as a broadcaster he still remains the same. Watching a game he was doing the color on, think the RedBlacks were marching down the field and he placed more emphasis on a field goal than on a touchdown. No killer instinct.
  22. lol...I've said it before and it's still true. Some have dug a hole so deep they've lost touch with reality. Win or lose this game, win or lose next game. etc etc on and on. MOS isn't going anywhere. Wins and Losses are important obviously. But average joe fan is buying tickets like they are going to stop selling them soon. We're approaching a record for sellouts in a row ( I believe we've tied it with the Banjo bowl now). $$$ matters A LOT. And a MOS team will be bringing in $$ for a while yet. Until that changes, MOS will be a bomber whether people like his roster setup or not.
  23. Fact we didnt need 3 on roster is part of it...I agree with the total argument...that as an "organization" we have dropped the ball repeatedly left tight and center on various issues and with various people in charge Samson as well was never given any rope...he could have been brought back after Ham let him go but believe he in Cgy now I just didnt mean at DT either...or that specific roster spot..that roster positionh could have been for any Canadian...we are woefully lean across the board This yr even..Bailey can come on as last roster spot for a Canadian...lotsa upside there and tho technically a Global isnt the average Global player...he should be on before about 3..4 guys I can think of off top my head In the end the HC sets the roiter and keeps/cuts who "he" feels is best...regardless of what any GM brings in...if he keeps sub par favorites over any new guy brought in...we will never know....even if they get no other shot elsewhere....that really means nothing when in all reality save for a real crappy player....and a real exceptional one...most guys across the board in the cfl are very comparable and on the same level...it's how they are coached, schemed and played along with guys beside them Osh has had success...sure ...but he gets wayyyy too much credit for the whole thing....and it's just not the case....he's not the whole/main reason....so on that basis when things go wrong...and have been trending in wrong way 4 yrs now...then he should get all the blame too then...right...cause he gets glorified as the dear leader if not for Oshea...yeah buts and all the sucess too many is sole result of him Football is a collective thing with success and failure....but also it's always the HC neck on the line first when sucess starts to falter...and should be here. That's all I'm saying....we will be fine without Osh if he was to be gone next yr...probably better for it than if we retained him. He's gotten stale....and his message isnt what it was...happens to all coaches....12 yrs is a long time...can be said too long too...If we were dominating and won 5 cups in a row and consensus favorite to do it again...then this a non issue...but we ain't...and the trajectory based on what we seen last 3..4 yrs and the reason(s) why say change is needed Today is a good litmus test....we should by all means walk away with this game....if we dont, and squeek out another fluke or b.s win...there's issues....we lose and look like we have in other pathetic losses this yr....it's time....
