  6. You think that Collaros would have lasted better in Ottawa than Brown did or that Brown would have been injured as often running our offence behind our O-line? That's why arguments based on conjecture are so stupid. There is no way to prove them either way. Just flapping your 'internet' lips again.

  8. Bombers have created a spring Bantam 12 on 12 league this year. Would be nice if we moved community football to the spring like every other province so we can actually run high school and up with proper resourcing in the fall. In Winnipeg region we legitimately only have 6 officiating crews for minor football right through CJFL. They also are the stick/sideline crews for U Sports.
  9. Kelly+Arbuckle is a better duo than Mitchell/Ford

  12. ZC with a new OC....good oline again and some legit targets is gonna do one of 2 things...Either have a late in career renaissance like Calvillo had and actually be a legit #1 and possibly another 2..3 really good yrs in him if the situation allows for it....Or he is gonna confirm the last 2 yrs of this spiral into crapsville is real and he is done. And we should do whatever we have to in the season if this is the case to address it and not wait for the off-season and really be hooped...if it means trading assets...Picks...or a legitimate performer so be it, but get it accomplished If he shows a rebirth and his physical skills look like they are not degraded from previous season, then he could be a resigning on a 1 yr deal for 2027 at a reasonable price as we are hopefully grooming the 2028 guy....Not at the 600k price tag he has been getting...not even 500k...but more in the scope of what BLM has taken and if he doesnt like that deal....See ya later
  13. They donate $$ for equipment to Club football. Like has been mentioned they run "try football" camps as well as short development camps for young kids. They have players help out in practices. They sponsor the 3 of the 4 flag football seasons. And a new one they are hosting a "Prairie Showdown" for flag football that I believe is basically a provincial tournament...sending the highest ranked MB team to nationals. I say highest ranks MB team because other provinces are involved as well as some states. They host coaching clinics and help with a coaching dinner for clubs to start the year. I can't say for sure but I'm sure they're involved in the new spring tackle season for U16 and up ages. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

  17. Yeah, great to see as helmets are the biggest expense when it comes to buying football equipment for teams. I never hear of anything even close to that from the Stamps when it comes to the football community in Calgary. AFAIK, the team doesn't even exist anymore in Calgary. The media here treats the Stamps the same way the owner treats Calgarians. They ignore them the same way he ignores them. The local newspapers don't even cover away games anymore. Coverage is almost non existent. The owner is such a cheap bastard. Most fans wish he'd sell the team. He's an absentee billionaire owner who lives in Switzerland so he doesn't have to pay personal income taxes in Alberta & Canada after making his personal fortune here in the oil & gas industry. He's either refusing to sell or wants so much $$$ that no one will buy the team.
  18. This is from last year but I imagine its more of the same for this year https://3downnation.com/2025/04/04/winnipeg-blue-bombers-contributed-930000-to-amateur-football-in-2024/ I generally see those types of articles "Bombers donated $X worth of helmets". They also run the try football camps all the time... usually 4-5 sessions that are free of cost and draw around 100 kids. I sign my kids up for so many Bomber activities I don't even have to spend any money at Save-On-Foods anymore, they just keep giving them gift cards that I use.

  20. This coming season my man ZC is going to stay healthy, light it up, lead us to Grey Cup victory and retire on top. At the very least it feels good writing this. Off season hope.
  21. The way Brown was, he'd have never played an yway. He had large gaps between being performing on the field & IR. I just got the impression Brown may have been able to come back come back but didn't seem to want to. I question his toughness & leadership as he certainly doesn't seem to be another Matt Dunigan or Jeff Garcia. So, if T Burg wants to pay a guy who's injured more than he plays then how are we saving money? We'd have been paying Brown to sit & do nothing on the 6 game Injury List multiple times. I think Dinwiddie felt the same & went out & got a qb he feels he can work with in Maier to push Brown. Look what Dinwiddie did with Arbuckle in Toronto last year. Two years ago, it looked like his career was over. If he does the same thing with Maier then Brown is gone. Ottwa is (probably) spending more money on their two qbs than we spend on the 3 or 4 we have now as both in Ottawa are veterans. Other than Zach, our qb room have backups with limited experience or none at all.
  22. Then, instead of Collaros getting pulped because of a crappy OC and O-line, we would have had Brown getting pulped, but at a cheaper price. Not sure that would have accomplished much.
  23. For my own info, what have the Bombers done for youth tackle football in Manitoba? It would be interesting to know. Here in Calgary, you sure don't hear much from the Stamps when it comes to tackle football in the community at any level.
  24. You'd take this guy if the price is right in your mind.
  25. Thank you so much. Tragic, hard to comprehend sometimes.
  26. Tre Ford is young enough to take a flyer on... is he a free agent or did he retire?
  27. Back in my youth, working next to a pawn store. 75% of the good inventory is taken in from known thieves. Lots of "fall off the truck" specials.
  28. rest of that list is trash but i can’t argue with out spot

  30. We're deservedly ranked last, that's all I care about.
  31. I can feel things heating up Elgersma is almost in Winnipeg. It's just a matter of time now. May as well purchase some cheap blend for the celebration.
  32. Meh almost every one of those teams would be screwed if their starting quarterback went down. Don’t see how B.C should be ranked number 4 other than Rourke.
