  1. Past hour
  2. What is crazy is that Yvensord Bernard also had 112 yards rushing in that game!
  3. I'm thinking it is the fear of dropping nice guys from the club and giving a guy a pity job because god knows why O'Shea has troubles getting rid of the dead weight.
  4. Not to mention a positional coach running some drills in camp and practice and breaking down some film is a far cry from drawing up schemes and roster management that a coordinator or HC would be responsible for. A lot of hand wringing over what should be minimal impact.
  5. Today
  6. It’s actually so weird to me that people are worried about Jake as a positional coach lol nobody has any clue if he’s got what it takes or not and we weren’t whining when Miller got a far more important role then again Miller isn’t a slow, fat whipping boy so I guess there’s that
  7. cmon man, I get that you like to gripe but you're just saying nonsense here. Let's look at some GOATs: Scotty Bowman didn't play in the NHL. Don Matthews didn't play above the college level and certainly never played Canadian rules. Bill Belichick didn't play in the NFL. Closer to home, Kevin Bourgoin was the passing game coordinator / WR coach for the absolutely lethal BC Lions offense this past year and was our WR coach in 2021 when we lapped the whole league. Yet another dude who topped out as a player in college and went into coaching straight afterwards. And his playing career was so un-noteworthy that he's got no Wikipedia page and I had to google into a local news story just to discover that he did play at one time.
  8. And it's been said over and over again that Jake is one of the smartest guys in the room, especially the Xs and Os... Just because he can't do the thing at the same level anymore doesn't mean he can't teach things. I have high hopes for him... Starting at a lower level assistant coach position is perfect.
  9. yeah, I remember that! Didn't that challenge cost him a record?
  10. Because teaching isn't about having been able to do a thing, it's about imparting knowledge onto others.
  11. Maybe just maybe Kyle Walters doesn't bring Kola back taking the decision out of MOS's hands.
  12. ….with a promise to appoint him as OLine coach in 2028 #kiddingnotkidding
  13. I was at that Fred Reid game! He had another TD but it was called back. He got hurt and only sat out two plays - typical terrible coaching. Fred came back in and promptly reeled off a big run for a TD, Wally threw the challenge flag and yup, he had not sat out three plays so no TD. In Saskatchewan "bums in seats" is a double entendre....
  14. AND the 'tanking continues'......pathetic
  15. Some RB's also are very good returners / receivers. However as you pointed out a DB or WR COULD have more value as depth whether or not Vaval is lost for the season. Peterson is our depth at RB but it seems we bring in an import every TC just to have a look see.
  16. ....hey they look better THEN some of the guys we trotted out
  17. Fine with it. I’m not sure if we’re ever going to expect him to be a starter at this point but as a depth player on the o-line I’m perfectly fine with having him back. Can’t ever have too many capable Canadian OL on the roster.
  18. I was addressing his trending and it is inevitably downwards, and he has played hurt a lot and thus not as effective for the past couple of years.
  19. What in O'Shea's history would lead anyone to beieve that Tui is going to get a legit shot at replacing turnstile Kolankowski?
  20. grey cup 2023?...or was it 2022...2024?....dont recall as we played injured guys who were useless in several of them....he was useless and couldn't run with any authority Not to bemoan him, and glad he's back and is key for us for sure...but he has been playing hurt alot last few yrs....and playoffs in several was basically a non-factor....I alo chalk some of that up to how he was used....and didnt help him in being healthy or at least protected somewhat...we have habit of thatr here too we need to fix, on how we use guys and basically wreck em or get then pulverized...Lucky his first time here...Grant...Demski....What happened with Schoen...the mis-use of Strev and all the punishment we made him take...hopefully we learned and address it by rostering specific kinda guys to do those things, as opposed to beating the hell out of key players

  22. and if you're not happy with the way things ended remember, it's just a tv show
  23. Arguably Hamilton (at least for the time being) with Taylor Powell. Similar to our situation with Zach and Dru, Powell may need to leave to get a shot at starting because BLM keeps extending his career.
  24. Winless in 6. 2 out of 12 possible points.
