Nope. Walters has exceeded the cap 2 of the last three seasons so he spends just as much, if not more, than most teams. How and where he chooses to spend, seems to be the bigger issue.

There's nothing wrong with this team that isn't easily fixed. They got veteran options at receiver, they have 2 qbs they can feel comfortable playing, they have bodies who seemed decent in preseason on the defensive line.... they have options, all they need to do is ditch the complacency and make some hard choices with the roster and sit your old boys down if they're not getting it done.

I noted the lack of vertical shots as well, but I think it had a lot to do with the fact that collaros wasn't ever comfortable in the pocket.

Osh keeps playing Jake & the defensive performances of others slid when Thomas is on the field. We need some true DE's to spell Vaughters & Jefferson & some real push from the middle to collapse the opposition pocket & create problems. Jake is so out of his league, it is hilarious but as fans watching, it's truly not. I wouldn't be blaming those 2 for subpar performances. I'd blame our DC & HC.

They never challenged the field vertically at all last night. Even when it was 37-9 Stamps, we still were dinkng & dunking. I mean, the Stamps secondary is improvd from last year from the looks of things but they're not THAT GOOD. I think Zach's longest throw was 22 yards. That shows you just how bad our 9th ranked receiving corps are. Wheatfall is our lone deep threat & he was invisible. It didn't have to be that way but suddenly this past off season, Walters is a penny pinching GM like former Maple Leaf owner Harold Ballard was. We're hosting the GC ffs, why would they pick this year for financial restraint? The fans have supported this team now for 4 years giving the Bombers profits like they have never seen before. They deserve a lot better & didn't get it this past off season.

So on defence, neither Vaughters or WJ have looked good. Would they look better if we added a young pass rusher to rotate or do we need to replace one or both? Bridges has struggled, do we replace him? Jake is awful. Will we bench him? As for the offense, what do you do about Zach? Better game plan? More Streveler mixed in? Is it worth putting in Mitchell to see if he sparks the offense? Bring back a bigger receiver like White?

At the very least, they need to stop pretending Jake Thomas is prime Doug brown and have the chat with him. Perhaps have the chat with Willie also who seems to do lots of nothing out there. Get the old men some backups at the very least. Stop dressing 13 linebackers. And every time Zach throws a rookie interception, he should be benched as Streveler appears more capable at this point.

The only spot Parker has looked really good at is SAM. If he's 15 yards downfield he's treading water and struggling with reads. Corner he'd probably have to think less too and maybe could play a bit faster. I'd like to get a look at Allen. Someone a little more rangy who can also cover man all over the field which is necessary in the match coverages. Also, call Russ Dandy back. We need some oomph at corner. Both corners have eaten **** so far this season. Get some guys who will play the ball.

Whether this lot is allowed to stumble through the rest of the season essentially intact or a mid-season overhaul is induced, the outcome would seem to be about the same- get into the playoffs mostly by default and then flatline. Pick yer misery.

Collaros did not lose us the game, but he did not look like an all-star QB which he is well=paid to be, and he definitely did not lead the tram by example. As regards Wee Willie, he has been effectively when the rest of the D-line and linebackers are occupying the opposing blockers and leaving in one-on-one with a mediocre O-lineman. He does not seem to have the athleticism or drive of two years ago and the Bombers have to assess whether that is good enough or if a great play once or twice a d=games is enough for the salary he commands.
