  1. Past hour
  2. I know we beat him a few times recently, but going back to his Montreal days, VA gave our team more trouble than Rourke has. Other than the fact he’s Canadian, I still think the Lions faired much better with a healthy Adam’s than a healthy Rourke. Glad he’s out of BC.
  3. tis true...actually a more physical one....I still say we should just start him as the "5th" receiver and incorporate him in all sorts of ways...Imagine sets with Him...BO and Logan all in the backfield?....Demski as well running in motion....sucking away who the defender for him is?....Especially if/when Pokey comes back...A unit of him Schoen, Demski and Clercius along with Cooley and Logan as the 5th guy...how could you not be succesful with that and BO as your RB??
  4. Yeah he had some kind of foot injury.
  5. the runs thy had him do were garbage and pointless....and soooo telegraphed.....no QB would have had success with that...so glad Buck is gone as I bet we see all kinds of different tuns....not just with Strev
  6. Short for pork chop.
  7. Wasn't Rourke just coming off of a serious injury before that game? I think there was speculation he wouldn't play and Dane Evans would get the start. He couldn't do that last season, those days are over, he either sinks or swims with his vaunted arm.
  8. Dalton.........
  9. Strev... If we're still allowing sneaks.
  10. And cue the quotes from the crappy Zelda games (the ones by Animation magic) https://deadline.com/2025/06/legend-of-zelda-movie-wes-ball-1235596216/
  11. I figured that's who you meant. Just poking fun. It's Greg Bell.
  12. Not so much spy specifically but lots of dropping out 9 and being very unpredictable in coverage in terms of having different guys drop into deep thirds, different guys sit in flat/curl zones. Heavy match zone so really hard for receivers to get open, really tight windows.
  13. Today
  14. Watched the ‘22 Western final a while ago. Take aways: BB didn’t look to be spying Rourke. He only rushed a few times on broken plays, but spent most of his time in the pocket. Rasheed Bailey was a premier blocker. Alden Darby could be very good. Desmond Lawrence could be very opportunistic, but ultimately, unreliable in coverage ZC’s decision making could be very questionable. Legghio missed 2 extra points ( 1 returned for 2). Rourke cannot handle our crowd. At least 3 time count violations, plus the final hurry up was a cluster for BC. BO ripped out their heart in the second half.
  15. I have started drinking NA beers during the week, and man have they come a long way. If you like a Hazy IPA, the Athletic one is as close to a real beer as I have found. For mainstream stuff, the Heineken, Peroni and Guinness are both really close facsimiles (the former two being pretty crushable lawn mowing beers). Keep meaning to head down to Sobr Market to check out some of the other craft options.
  16. I feel like we have our own future Kevin Brown on the PR.
  17. Running back for Hamilton
  18. Will get results up tomorrow but put picks below
  19. Yup...wish we could fit him in here...wonder if he can return...
  20. I remember we usually play well against Rourke, can someone with a better memory perhaps tell me did we "spy" him when we played him, he does well with his legs. If my memory is correct.....but I don't fully trust that.....We traditionally dropped heavy coverage, focused on containing him in the pocket and had a "spy" looking for the run with really good success......am I accurate in that?
  21. My 2 cents Rourke while I get nauseated listening to TSN talk about him....he did play well; he looked better than he did last year....Next week will say a lot about Rourke IMO...hopefully we bring him crashing down to earth and the turf Ford is not a QB, he is a great athlete and can "sandlot" with the best of them.....the only time he looked like a QB was when he was like 10 yards back and rolled out to the wide side......not sustainable Betts gifted Edm. most of their early offensive numbers.....He is quick, I will give him that, but dude you ain't catching Tre Ford....but stubborn is as stubborn does he kept trying and failing miserably allowing ford an unobstructed easy rollout.....I still say Betts has a great motor and is really quick but the guy just can't contain or be patient against the run....His career so far is one trick pony I am happy for Buck to get his first win....I just hope his second win is at least a couple weeks away.....
  22. Contact with the head first IMO but it's almost simultaneous. Williams right shoulder is chin level at the moment of contact but comes down to chest level as he is exploding through. The receiver did duck into it a bit so I'm not sure what else Williams could have done.
  23. Any sushi fans here? Sake on the corner of Manitoba and Eveline in Selkirk is next level. They also make their own dipping sauces - teriyaki et. al.
  24. It is amazing how much people are willing to pay for soup/salad and bread sticks...
  25. I'm not knocking the signing, just don't think it's a massive add. Personally I would have taken Brown before him because that guy can dominate a game in a big way. I might even have taken Fletcher over him as well because he is so versatile in both the passing and running game and is 10x the blocker that Carey is. Carey is a consistent runner whose best days are behind him, He probably won't hurt them but I doubt he brings much to the table either. Kevin Brown is the guy they should have gone after. A legit game breaker that defences have to earnestly worry about.
  26. Disagree. It's shoulder to chest first.
