Completely agree with you... he seems like a great team leader and an all around good person (based on my minimal interactions with him)... unfortunately (for him) there's more talent around now and we can't keep a roster spot for a guy just b/c he's a good teammate...
June 27, 20169 yr Good pick up. Fair amount of NFL experience. Pretty good considering the NFL is crazy for DB's over 6 feet. Seems like he held his own. Any chance to get better in every area is always a plus.

It's a major challenge when a team like Mtl. shows up with a swath of tall lanky receivers and they face an entire secondary of U6ers. DB's like Demond Washington and Bruce Johnson can play like demons and still get beat regularly if the QB has time to place the ball beyond their upper reaches. If you're tall and you can cover. You're more then likely going to be in the NFL. A lot of talented players in the secondary here in the CFL but mostly due to the NFL over looking them because of their height.

Irving says he was throwing balls with receivers and running today, which he wouldn't be if it was serious and he'd be out awhile.

Health #1, I'm sure the Bombers training staff are monitoring him closely for any effects that can surface sometimes well after the actual hit (dizziness, headaches, nauseousness, vision issues etc). Here's hoping Weston didn't suffer any effects and he's back on the field ready to go.

Kind of surprised the Bombers didn't pick up anyone from the cut lists but maybe Keeping isn't gone for too long and they think Couture can hold the fort until he returns.
