Target Date for Free Agency Feb. 9th 12 noon ET - 11 am Winnipeg - 9 am Kelowna 

The Bombers will lead into the pre-draft weekend with a press conference tomorrow, February 5th, at 10:00am to discuss Free Agency as it pertains to the Blue Bombers.

Below is a list of the Bomber's free agents:

We already know N. Moore won't be extended, and I've assumed Walker and Shell are gonzo, so that leaves 7 players, including 3 Non-imports. How many of these 7 guys will be announced as re-signed by Walters tomorrow?

Any guesses or half wishes, preferences?

Marshall? Hajrullahu? Pontbriand? Newman? What about Washington?

Call me a negative Nancy but I have a feeling that free agency wont have as big an impact that many here want.    I can see Medlock being our BIG FA signing and then anything after that will be the  "B" and "C" FA's.      

I will be disappointed if Medlock becomes our "big" signing.

I kind of agree.  There's so many guys that other teams will be changed too if they have a need.

If we're able to fill multiple holes with the second tier guys for the very reasonable amounts they'll be signing for, I'm not sure that's a bad thing.

If Laurent's asking price is $250 K...who do think is in the best position to sign him and where would he best fit?

Personally, I agree with Doug Brown. Of the 140 available players we only require 20 of them.

So does mean we go after Harris now? Not sold on his asking price...a few years ago absolutely, but now...not so sure. My fear is we sign him for what he wants but we get a shell of his former self and on the decline such as what tends to happen to RB's when they hit 30...

I am more intrigued by what he brings in the passing game. When teams now pass 60+ % Harris ability to be a threat out of the back field and pass protection ability makes up for any slight decline in rushing.

Sure but then we need better blockers upfield than Dressler and Denmark...

Harris at the right price is cool, but I'm concerned as well about his age,at the price he's reportedly asking...

One year + 2 months, he turns 29 in April

Either way, he is on the wrong side of 20 yrs for his asking price IMO. 

Yes I wouldn't mind him here...for a more reasonable asking price.

Whatever just bring in Harris.  Maybe it doesnt work out but its such a good fit that they have to try.  He wants to play here, we need Canadian starters and a running back.  "Just do it" -Reebok.

As far as Canadian starters, I'd rather have Cappicotti, hell max out and sign Laurent and I'll be happy, somewhat.

Don't get me wrong, I won't be upset if we sign Harris, just hope we don't throw the bank at him.

Since BC's Wally Buono is entering the FA period on Tuesday, all I ask is that we step in and grab one of his targeted FAs.
