Fire O'Shea

I don't normally over react like this but I don't see this team improving under him. Hanging his hat on too many people that haven't performed like Brohm,Bellefeuille

Saw this thread when cleaning up my inbox in gmail for CFL emails. Man.. How wrong some of us were.

We have zero depth. Fire Walters.

That's what we call...a zero in-depth analysis.

We've let 3 individuals with no experience managing or coaching a CFL team try to rebuild this team from scratch like an expansion team. It's been an epic fail. Where do we go from here WHEN the firings come? I could live with a head coach who was a successful coordinator like Orlando Steinhauer or Noel Thorpe, especially Steinhauer as he looks like he's a high energy coach but the GM has to have prior CFL experience & knows what it takes to build a winner. I'd love to see John Murphy here because he has a pipeline for players & has worked under Huff & Jim Barker for years. To me,working under those 2 guys is experience enough.

O Shea has looked completely defeated the last three or so games.

His body language looks of a guy who knows or thinks he won't be back next season.

Yawn. Lemmings gonna lemming.

Walters should be gone immediately -- and Murphy would be a huge coup.

Two of the closest games we have played all season and you think hes looking defeated?

Man. You ought to go work as a body behaviourist for the FBI.

Close games yes but when he looks at the standings that might change how he feels

The guy exudes zero confidence in his half time interviews and actually is starting to have the blank stare that Burke made famous.

Well, if the Bombers don t fire MOS after this season then they will midway thru next season when we're something like 2-6 or 2-7 because we'll never be close to being a winner with him as head coach. #lostcause

If O`Shea is kept for next season, he might surprise and do great, but the odds are against him. I do not recall any coach who got off to such a horrible two-year record and rebounded to be a good coach.

Tough to judge him when his franchise QB has gone down early in both his seasons at the helm. At least now we have a competent back-up. Gotta give him next year for sure...

You remember that Willy did play in 17 games last year right?  I'm not on the fire Oshea bandwagon (yet) but we can't use that excuse for last year as Willy did not go down early.  This year, certainly we can.

Sorry...."start and finish and was even relatively healthy"........

Those who like OShea are grasping for reasons to keep him and now to extend his contract? You have to ignore his record or give him points for 'Moral Victories' to even think of extending his contract. You have to ignore the fact that only 1 HC who didn't make the playoffs in their first 2 years didn't get fired since the turn of the century, probably longer. You have to ignore the fact that only 2 HC's coaches in the CFL have ever missed the playoffs in their first 2 years and went on to be a good HC and one of them waited a decade to get a second chance.

Yep some people are ignoring those things...probably because they have absolutely no bearing on this conversation. You can't apply generalities across the board as if they are absolutes. You judge MOS solely on his body of work, and with the facts you have, if you are the Bombers....certainly not on historical data.

If we ignore history, we're doomed to repeat it.

If you ignore context, you're doomed to sound like an idiot.

If Walters leaves for Guelph MOS is toast. Might be a moot point in 2 months.

What is most disappointing with O'Shea is that after 2 years of patiently waiting for him to round into a good HC it hasn't happened. We knew he lacked experience but he should be much better by now.

The only problem with O'Shea is that he has too much confidence in players who are a net negative on the team. The killers this year are Stoudermire, Hajrullahu, Picard and Neufeld. Put competent players in those roles and the Bombers are easily .500 and probably nipping Calgary's heels as they have two wins on us they don't deserve.

He has to lose that big chip on his shoulder before I support him. He's cocky to the point of being arrogant. O'Shea came in as a know it all coach & it turns out he has no answers to all of the questions. Not as smart as he thought he was. No idea why he is like that as there's no need to be. .

Willy may not have "gone down" last year but he sure had the crap beaten out of him. No way he was anywhere near 100% for most of that season.

Yup... let's ignore history because context (excuses) are so much more reliable. #haha

Fixed for accuracy.

It's hyperbole, not hyberbole. So much for accuracy, you can't even spell.

There! Fixed it for ya.   :)

Wow, isn't this fun? At least you can spell.
