iso_55
Media here in Calgary with breaking news... Cornish out for the game in Montreal. Not even travelling with the team. That's all we know here. "Details to follow" said one tweet.

mfranc
This sucks. Probably concussion related.

HardCoreBlue
I have no idea what happened? Stay tuned. Has nothing to do with concussions, things just accumulated is what Cornish is saying to the media.
iso_55
Played 4 games this year & was off for 6. How can things be accumulating? He said it was his decision. I don't understand this.
AtlanticRiderFan
Perhaps it is something personal? Not an injury?

Tracker
It will be interesting to see if Calgary goes to sleep as they did against Toronto, but even if they did, Montreal does not have a Ricky Ray. Montreal is probably hooped, but stranger things have happened.

robynjt
Wow, that's a big blow. At least they're playing Montreal though. Not as huge as you might think. They have the best oline in the league and other backs have come in and had 100+ yard games - not a coincidence.
17to85
Calgary is just a really well coached team. They have the ability to perform no matter who goes into the game. They won a pile of games without Cornish already this year, no reason to think they can't beat Montreal without him. HardCoreBlue
Goalie
Calgary is the team that you want to model yourselves after.. Canadian Depth, heck man, they had the best record in the league last year but had the first overall pick, Huff ain't playing around, why did he get that first round pick, outside of Desjardins stupidity, it's cuz Calgary has the depth at basically every position to make moves like that. Trade Gott? No problem, we will take Lavertu and still play Jones. Calgary is an example of what patience leads too. Depth Depth Depth, guys get hurt, guys come in, those guys get hurt, other guys come in. It took Huff years to get there, Calgary was in a bad place a few short years ago, Huff came in and changed things up and what you see now is what you get and what you get is probably the best team in the league all around, qb depth, rb depth, defensive depth, OL depth.. They are stacked. It took time but... look at them now. It wasn't too long ago that that oline lost tsoumpas to retirement. No tsoumpas? no problem. Been going on for longer than glenn was there. It seems to be a trend of sorts in Calgary the last few years actually, very good to dominate regular season, crap the bed in the playoffs. Burris isn't any better than Glenn in that regard. It's true. Burris is the ultimate fair weather qb. Starts to get cold out and he is useless (see last years grey cup for another example) Between those guys it's no surprise the Stamps haven't won more in the playoffs. Have to see how Tate and BLM do in the chilly temps.
