I said it before.  Winnipeggers are fairweather fans.  Put the game on a Friday or Saturday, and the rural fans will attend.

I'm a rural fan and even I think that's ridiculous. If Winnipeggers were fairweather fans this team would have run out of fans years ago.

I do, however, think that Winnipeggers are huge whiners :) Case in point: still complaining about the location of the Stadium. But fairweather fans they are not.

Rural fans and Saskatonians attend even weekday games in Regina. Fans from Brandon can't handle the TransCanada on a weeknight? Pretty soft.

I saw somewhere the updated sales was 29,100?  Come on guys!  Where's the person that counts the open seats on Ticketmaster? ;)

Haha, that would be me. The only problem is, apparently not every seat is released to ticketmaster, so it may not be accurate.

I have been eye-balling the dots over the last 36 hours or so, and it looks like a short while ago they released a few hundred. Probably the last batch to be released.

Really tired of the criticism towards the fans and the media's insistence to reference the number of empty seats, rather than what has been sold. I even heard Lawless on H&L last night saying the stadium was too big - good freakin' grief... we've only played a dozen games there, give it some time!!! Last year was one of the worst seasons on record; coupled with a new stadium opening that was delayed a year and in a location that was more than a 5 min walk for St.James folk. Did everyone expect us to be selling out after that abomination last year?

I chose to see it this way: Game #1 we sold 24K and change, game #2 we sold 27K+ and for game #3 we'll be over 30K no problem. (29,100 is from yest. aft remember).

People have the audacity to call out fans for that???

Not to mention we came off a 3 win season last year that was the absolute shittiest season of Bomber football I have ever seen. All these Thursday night games it's going to take time to get the casuals back. You can even see in the chat room that people don't quite believe that this team is different yet.

I would of gone of it were on Friday or Saturday... I can't get a baby sitter on a weekday :\

Thursday is not a good night for football...

Awww, that's so cute.

If you really need a grown-up to accompany you I suppose I can volunteer.

/ looking looking, where is one of those winky things all the kids are using these days, looking looking, hang on, be right back, for some reason Chris Hansen is at my door....

Just ask yourself this: "How many other CFL cities would still be getting close to 30,000 fans after the last years we have endured?" A lot of them would be run by the league by now.

Sorry but that comment is just plain not true. The fans have put up with a hell of a lot with all the organization forced down their gizzard starting with Kelly. Those guys took a great institution that most have forgotten about and turned it into a land fill. The fans couldn't read the paper because of all the depressing articles.

Regina is in great shape right now but it's not all that long ago it was selling bingo tickets and accepting grain as donation.

I think Winnipeg has the best fans in the country by far.

Just passing IGA Field right now, the second best place to watch the game tonight!

In your briefs yet getting ready for your pre-game porn??
Soon, gotta stop and pick up my Cheezies then head home.

If you see a guy with orange palms outside the bar bumming smokes later come say hi.

As long as the only orange we can see is on your palms someone might do that.
