gbill2004
@PentonKirk: #Bombers just had conference call with national media. Nothing too earth shattering. Ian Wild or Graig Newman are potential MLBs. @PentonKirk: 2013 draft pick Kris Robertson expected to be at camp. Stephen Alli still injured ad won't be at camp. @CJOBSports: #Bombers HC O'Shea says should draft pick for centre not be ready this season Steve Morley and Chris Kowalczuk are the options. #CFL
Mike
I don't know why it never occurred to me before, but the idea of Ian Wild at MLB really appeals to me. MOBomberFan
sweep the leg
I don't know why it never occurred to me before, but the idea of Ian Wild at MLB really appeals to me. I wonder how a guy his size would hold up in that spot over 18 games? Newman isn't even 200 pounds.
17to85
isn't wild a bit small for a MLB though? Westy Sucks and DR. CFL

Newman is a silly option to me, but Wild seems like such a fit there, he flowed to the ball and always seemed to be around the play last year. Unbelievable motor and it gives you the ability to put him and Parker on the field at the same time.
Westy Sucks
way too small imo. That would be a mistake DR. CFL

B-F-F-C
I'll defer to O'Shea on this decision. After all, he should have some idea on what makes a good MLB. johnzo

Noeller
Huge IW fan after last year. If MOS, of all people, says the guy can play MAC then all the power to him. MOBomberFan
Jpan85
I love the questioning. Do you think you have improved the team? What are they going to stay no we have taken a few steps back this year. The quality of the players is subpar that we brought in.
17to85
You will be hard pressed to find a bigger fan of Wild than me, but I dunno just seems he's pretty small, if it works great but I hope he's not put in a position to fail. He was so good where he was last year I'd have left him there.
Atomic
Also mentioned Louie Richardson, Stafford Gatling, and Kenny Tate will get reps at MLB in training camp. No mention of Terrell Parker, interestingly.
Jacquie
Funny how when McRath was released Etch took the blame but the idea of Wild at MLB is a good call by O'Shea. Floyd
M.O.A.B.
agree Wild might be a good fit in MLB he's was one of our best defender last year. will he still be the LS if he starts on the MLB spot ?
Stickem
Solid choice for mlb IF they go with Wild. The guy hustles on every play and is a real spark plug on D. As far as his size goes, what's the old saying, it's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog. This guy brings it. Jpan85
Wild is a heck if a football player I think he is a type of guy that is going to succeed at anything he does.

iso_55
Who cares how much he weighs? How big does he play? He'll get beat up trying to play big & that's the problem. The body just breaks down as the bumps pile on. Eighteen games is a killer schedule. The NFLPA wants no part of it because of injuries. DR. Mr Dee
…..I'm just Wild about Gary...…Gary's wild about me.. ………... ……………………The heavenly missives of his blitzes….. fill me with ecstasy!
DR. CFL
The issue of depth at centre has to be a concern, regardless of the draft. Morley has been a challenge at guard, never mind the added responsibility of snapping the ball. Kowalchuk has what a game as a starter in 3 or 4 years. Time for him to pony up or go home. JuranBoldenRules
Etcheverry's defense won't be built to handle the inside run, let alone stop it. But even when teams can't stop the run, nobody runs except Calgary recently and Saskatchewan in 2013 with Sheets. Suber could end up as MLB for all we know. It's all zone blitzes, not much gap control, so that will be a big difference from Burke, Muamba would just sit in an inside gap most of the time, and then attack the ball through his gap. Doubt any LB spot in Etchverry's D will be anywhere near the LOS pre-snap as often as Muamba was.
