Do the Bombers have a say in all the FAs we have to sign or do circumstances exist where we have no chance?

 

For me, at least to get to TC:

 

Desirable signings - Some for obvious reasons, some for NI content, some for experience:

 

Henoc Muamba, Chris Matthews, Jade Etienne, Brandon Stewart, Will Ford, Jovon Johnson, Akeem Foster, Kenny Mainor, Justin Sorensen, Marc Parenteau.

 

Signings if it makes sense - Again, ratio-wise and depth, new signings:

 

JT Gilmore, , Ryan Lucas, Chris Cvetkovic, Chris Kowalczuk, Dan West.

 

Not a Priority - Injuries….

 

Chad Simpson, Andre Douglas.

The Bombers have 79 60 players listed on their roster page including all eligible FAs.

There are 34 imports and 32 26 NIs.

Normally I'd say no but we are quite thin at Canadian receiver... I'm sure he could be had for a reasonable price and if he really is worse than the prospects we have then we can just cut him without a major loss.  With our lack of depth, I'm not sure we're in a position to be choosy.

 

If we don't sign him, Ottawa will.  I'm sure of that.

Bauman would be worth it as depth.

CB hasn't done much Since Hamilton but Calgary never really had to use him as they have pretty good Canadian depth at receiver. Doesn't hurt to bring him in for a look does it?? He is also a Manitoba boy.

Bauman wanted to be here in 2011, but judging from what I heard, he wasn't willing to take the "hometown" discount.

Because he hasn't progressed, was kind of treated poorly last season and he rather play close to home.

Chris bauman might not be a bad idea.. Decent enough when given the chance but not near the level he was expected to be..

yoy can always cut in camp..

He'd be a solid backup in case Watson or Kolhert get injured.

So we could get Drew Willy. He was easily our third best Canadian receiver, and everyone knows it no matter how much they bias against him.

Bauman would be a decent depth/back-up receiver here, although I'm pretty sure he'll be Ottawa bound. The TC battle between Bauman and Hargreaves will be EPIC.

Heard the Argos are releasing a couple vets... believe they are Kyle Koch and Demetrius Morley, but haven't heard from the team for confirmation as of yet.

 

They haven't officially announced it, but they've added QB Casey Pachall, who just graduated and went undrafted/unsigned in the NFL. That one has been on the wire for about a day now though as a local paper there broke the news.

 

Lions have added former QB turned WR R.J. Webb who spent last year with the Carolina Panthers and was released just over a month ago.

Kyle Koch is decent, he might be worth a look as a depth player.
