Not counting Sundays, there are 17 days left to sign our own FAs.

Do the Bombers have a say in all the FAs we have to sign or do circumstances exist where we have no chance?

 

For me, at least to get to TC:

 

Desirable signings - Some for obvious reasons, some for NI content, some for experience:

 

Henoc Muamba, Chris Matthews, Jade Etienne, Brandon Stewart, Will Ford, Jovon Johnson, Akeem Foster, Kenny Mainor, Justin Sorensen, Marc Parenteau.

 

Signings if it makes sense - Again, ratio-wise and depth, new signings:

 

JT Gilmore, , Ryan Lucas, Chris Cvetkovic, Chris Kowalczuk, Dan West.

 

Not a Priority - Injuries….

 

Chad Simpson, Andre Douglas.

The Bombers have 79 60 players listed on their roster page including all eligible FAs.

There are 34 imports and 32 26 NIs.

Lol at thus thread... People play to much Madden and think you can sign everyone that you want and make it work for your cap.

Also people crying about not signing recognizable names like McCune and Bruce. The only difficult position to sign imports that can instantly be productive is at QB. Super easy to find receivers and mlb. Heck Sims walker in his brief time completely dwarfed anything Bruce has done in the last few years.

The only ball dropping would be missing out on Collaros, Willy though is definitely no slouch and has big upside.

I'm betting Kevin Glenn winds up in La Belle Province- Vancouver maybe.

With Wally signing Jarrett Lee, I don't see Glenn going to BC...  Wally's ego and track record will mean he goes with two rookie backups.

 

I'm actually leaning towards Edmonton for Glenn now.

I expect that Danny Mac and gang have made finding a fourth QB for camp a high priority.

John Beck is not young. He was drafted at 26 and is now 33. Also, he sucks.

I wasn't aware that the lack of a quality third string QB was that damaging.

Your 3rd QB should be your developmental guy.  The QB who you are grooming to possible take over as the starter in a few years.  It all depends if O'Shea/Bellefeuille think Goltz is that guy.  My bet says Goltz gets cut in TC for a new guy McManus brings in.

I think that Goltz will have to really shine in order to be kept around. He has started enough games and been around long  enough for the new regime to have assessed the video footage as to whether he has any part in the Bomber future.

Goltz is pretty good at sneaking and his run package..........although that seemed to be lost on our OC so who knows.
