I don't know how any one can remember what happened to Grant in 2023 and advocate for the Game Breaking returner to touch the ball on offense.

I guess just pinky promise you won't run him up the middle and hope for the best if he does get thrown out there on O

Usage really is everything. You put those guys on or past the edge with a 1 on 1 with a DB and let them cook. Even if they don't break it, its less wear then returning is.

yup...full motion along the line of scrimmage...get him ball off edge with one guy there...or even us in jet motion sweep to pull coverage and see who is manned up for that..Vets like Demski..White should easily see this post snap and know exactly where to go to find the open space

yes...and no...he hasnt disproven said myth tho...and we will never know if he doesnt make a move...any move...christ just 1 fricken move...Start a Canadian center...Roster a Singer or Womack....see the results....but we all know he wont

Drop a Moxy...Use Allen...Jackson....Texada...see the results...we know he wont...

Drop useless Korn and add even the Global...give him rotational reps...see whathe brings....again...we know he wont...Osh has no sensibility to even try if for anything to create a spark some where...In his pea brain whoever he closed camp with and declared a starter, and roster fill...is what it is and will die with it only unless an injury where a guy physically cant go dictates change...and history shows he will still even play a injured far from effective player over a backup...thats fact

So yeah fact of the matter is with osh we have no clue what back-up or PR player would be better...or what lineup reconfiguration would benefit us...cause he refuses to do it

History also shows that we have not had much provided in the way of recruitment in the past several years. I agree Osh does not make lineup changes easily. When injury has forced us to play rookies/recruits/PR guys the results have not been good. We haven't had a guy come in and steal a job in quite some time. Therefore, I stand by my assessment that anyone thinking that we are going to change our season off the bench is going to be disappointed when it does happen. There are some tweaks on the current 53 we could make to be marginally better, but for the most part we need talent. We have some serious holes to fill in the starting lineup AND definitely in depth because without that we are at best a one and done club.

6 of this...half dozen of that....Its a tough thing to figure out the issue...Is it the scouts are not bringing in the right talent...Or is it Osh doesnt have the eye in evaluating and keeping the better player...I tend to lean that way soley on the fact of what we seen with just guys "on" the roster...He has repeatedly over the yrs played the lesser talent...wont go into the who's and when's as it been well documented enough.

And looking back at history is also just a way to fail...some guys who haven't pushed the needle tho...never got reps to develop before hand so when dropped in...for sure they seemed inadequate...we also would play guys out of position...example of one....Ayers at DE....He not a DE...So of course he would look lousy there

Another thing to factor in...is our actual "coaching" up to par to prepare guys to succeed? I think also it's not as we have seen repeatedly...especially the last several yrs vet's who look like crap and a rookie new to the league...they didnt forget how to play over night..Thats game prep and coaching...Sure a guy has to mentally check himself into the game, but if he's questioning and unsure of scheme, has had minimal coaching prep leading up to it....well we get what we have seen in guys like Nichols..Holm...Krandi..etc....confusion...appearance of being beat...lost in space...Thats from lousy pre-game prep...by coaching

I agree with you for most part....All area's need to be shored up from GM down...But also is Osh saying what he wants in a player and we accommodating it?..Is he the one saying find me essentially all tweeners for the Dline so I can play them all over the line...and in less effective roles?...and he doesn't want just a true Nose/DT?...Seems likely to me cause why would we have not addressed that since basically the days Nevis and Stove?...thats 5 yr and running now.

We can break it down ion 10 different ways, but based on a whole whack of in game decisions from Grey Cup games to reg season ones...Issues with poor roster use...ie...dressind a DA who doesnt take a snap while we have areas where one could help piss poor production...Playing Canadians excessively on defence when not needed and where an import more than likely is the better option....coming out unprepared and outclassed...more times than not...all coaching decisions and root of 90% of the suckage

Danny Mac...Walter's...Miller...They have no hand in that...and yes maybe they should have stepped up...or stepped in about it...but also has been documented already that Osh got all pissy about a decision Walter's was making...cant recall the exact specifics off top my head...but that right there tells a lot of where the issue is...Same with when questioned in media and his response...and whiny response

well....if we being honest...Rockstar Dinwiddie with a lesser team stole Osh's lunch in 2 Grey Cups

Maybe the talent just wasn’t there. Cuz outside of a few depth ticat pieces not a lot of former bomber recruits on other teams after bombers moved on.

I mean you then look at the roster and go ok Reese Jenkins I suppose, Ayers, Woodbey, Williams cam Allen when healthy, these guys made the most or are currently trying to make the most of their limited opportunities cuz they either made the team or stuck around and worked and made the roster.

Where’s the other 60 guys we have cut ?? Welcome to Walmart, get your **** and get out?? The talent was lacking and that is on Kyle. Kyle likes to sign cfl free agents, not overly big on bringing superstars in from scouting tho. McManus isn’t as good at finding talent as Joe Mack was even.

And if we being really honest you just don’t like O’Shea. And have some sort of grudge against him. I mean if we are being honest here now. If we are being honest why the **** does 2 years 3 years ago matter in 2026?? How is that remotely relevant? Basically you will **** on O’Shea but praise others for being as stubborn as O’Shea. What’s RD doing in 2026 besides losing every game and aging like a reverse Benjamin button.

I think our recruitment favors high ceiling to pro readiness. It's not a bad approach if you have time to develop, but sure hurts in a year like this where we need some pro ready recruits because several players have lost a step.

Hey MBT get hurt so Kelly can come in and bombers defence will then fold like a cheap tent. That was 1 of their wins. We win? Our players are so talented they did it despite that O’Shea. Others win? RD ate O’Shea for lunch. Like if we are being honest right. Grudge. But whatever. It’s fine. I think it’s obvious now tho. Cuz it’s literally just all of the above repeat. But that’s fine.

But it’s not the only problem and probably not the biggest one even.

Go back if you have the time and know how and see I gave Osh praise and credit...when and where it was warranted....and when it stopped being warranted...I dont stick my head in the dirt like many and cling to the yeah but's

2...3 yrs ago does matter....as it is a direct correlation to what the current issues are....It's funny that we had Danny Mac when we won....and now...We have had several other conantations of a scouting dept as well both when we won...2...3 yrs ago...and now....BUT.......there is one constant...and that would be Osh...power of deduction needs to be done 1 by one

As for Walter's...he doesn't go on the road in the U.S and bird dog...He will watch CIS ball and he negotiates the deals...But of all the scouting team he does the least in refards to turning over stones...going to mini camps...attending regional combines down south...as well as attending independent ones...Thats not his role

A guy as smart as you should have already known that...No?

And guys cut who aren't immediately signed elsewhere is just a nonsense point...just like all the other teams, as they have their own staff who they have invested time and money into and trust in, and use their own resources..... and wont scrap heap other teams cuts right after camp...let alone by season mid point...thats also one the reason's we lost one of the best up and comer scouting guru's who chose to follow TG as opposed to stay here and put time and effort into his off-season to just watch his handiwork get shuttled out the door with nary a chance in lieu of a HC's favorites...and aging out inferior vets

yes, we had Danny Mac when we were winning, we also had Rigmaiden and Goveia. Both of the latter became GMs because of their work with us. Now we have Danny Mac out of the trio and we aren't finding enough talent. Like you say 2-3 years can make a huge difference in recruit quality.

Further to the point of our talent not ending up elsewhere, every year teams pick up other teams cuts. Ours not so much.

I don't know why you are defending our scouts and GM's work. It's been awful. Does MOS have flaws as a coach...absolutely....does he have the talent he needs right now...nope. People suggesting that our recruitment and GM work are good are simply doing so with an agenda, because it clearly hasn't been and it is a big part of the problem we are facing right now too. No one is excusing MOS when they say we lack talent. It's not a contest of Walters vs Osh. Both men and their respective departments need to get better....a lot better.

I agreed with this comment even though it appears you are arguing with yourself.

The only question mark for me is Canadian talent, specifically Cdn Receivers, for some reason we have really fallen down in that area, some of that can be because we haven't had many cracks at the top 5 in the last 5 to 7 years, some of it may be that we focus on the line in the early rounds, but still we have never drafted an impact receiver.

The roster building is suspect in terms of the draft. I am all for drafting BPA. With careers as short as they are and how long it takes to develop Canadian prospects sometimes, it's impossible to draft by position of need, but to end up in a place where our ratio is made up of OL and receivers, when we haven't drafted at those positions in recent years is suspect.

Our roster is littered with st only draft picks that had zero potential for anything but that..save for our 1st and 2nd picks for most part

Yep...poor work by Walters and the scouts. Our NAT talent has deteriorated badly. Walters just let them walk.

Which is why I wanted Walters, McManus & Osh fired last fall. Clean house entirely as their contracts expired so no financial penalties for the league. Bring in a new GM, new Head Coach, new scouting staff for Canada, the US & Global players. Instead, it never happened. Here we are talking about the same **** we were 9 months ago.
