I’m at camp today. First observation is DeShaan Dixon has the shortest shorts I’ve ever seen on a football player.

I'd like to at least see the new WRs in game action before making any broad conclusions. Realistically it's Pokey and White in the 2 starting American spots so these new guys are battling for spots on the PR or as injury replacements. Dorian Singer looks like he could be a player.

The bombers dont have the talent or depth to have 3 starting cnd wr. There should be 3 American spots

It’s starting to feel like, a week in, it’s business as usual and we haven’t learned much. Still looks like we’re getting ready to trot out 8-9 Canadians for no reason and value experience above everything. It’s hard for these rookie Americans to get experience because irs a revolving door for them by design - we don’t give them experience and then fault them for not having experience.

There’s genuinely no reason someone like Gavin Cobb or Joey Corcoran should be taking meaningful reps with the first team at this point in camp. If you can’t find an American rookie that can perform better than 2* Canadian prospects, what’s the scouting department even doing? And the lot default “they’re all starters and the Canadian provides roster flexibility” thing is so hollow, we don’t need the flexibility. We don’t even use the flexibility we currently give ourselves.

Yeah....some things changed it seems, but its looking more and more like a lot of same ol same old is gonna occur, tho still early and things can change but i dont see it changing

This insistence on starting more than needed Canadians when clearly they are not the best players we could field makes little sense, it doesn't make us a stronger team, and it also weakens the overall depth to accommodate it. Even if we start 3 imports on the oline, we have zero reason to have to go 3 Canadian WR when we will likely have 2 spots on defense that are Canadian spots (DT and Safety) and with guys like Smith/Shay who should be taking defensive reps, along with Gatkouth and Bailey who can go in for a Canadian we have more than enough ways to put 2 on the field any given snap if we declare 5 Canadians on offence and 2 on defense....plus we also can actually utilize the Nationalized player...whomever that may be to eat up some reps. Heck if we felt good enough trotting out Hallett and Kelly all the time...even when we already had enough Canadians on the field and watch them get burned and abused basically every snap they took...I sure we can put Smith and Shay out there...guys with serious upside and skill.

Watching a few days of practice and seeing the imports we brought to main camp....it's butt ugly awful recruiting and not sure what we were looking at our coveting...as they all are less than adequate.

Demski and Neild/Clercius are fine as the 3 main Canadians...and Cobb be the best "backup" as he serves a multi use role. The other Canadians in no way should be taking regular reps let alone starting a 3rd one. I not including Daniels as he gonna be a role guy and not expected to carry a heavy load and will allow us to not have to dress 7 olineman and will serve a useful purpose

My major concern with re-upping Osh was just what we are seeing and this insistence to go overboard forcing this use lesser Canadians as a thing, for no real reason other than his bias for it...or whatever it is....but it's not our best roster when he does it.

Thankfully he has seen the light...or he was instructed to play the best player possible at SAM and push Kramdi to safety, I tend to think this was mandated by Walter's and replacing Kramdi if he should get hurt with Kelly..Hallett..Ball...heck even Smith is a 1 player for 1 player swap and less disruptive to the defese when its Griffin or Woodbey manning this spot

While openly admitting that I'm an idiot who doesn't know anything, it definitely APPEARS that receiver is the most concerning spot on the team, followed somewhat closely by QB.

-Im not sure that White is the elite superstar they think he is

-Im not sure Pokey is better than Just Pretty Good

-I don't trust Demski to stay healthy at his age

-I think Nield is wildly overrated

-Collaros has been trending downhill for at least two years and there's nobody behind him

I sincerely hope that none of this ends up mattering in the long run, but ... One week into camp, this is what scares me most.

How high do you think Nield is being rated? What’s been said to make you think that?
