AND then says that the CFL would be an unfortunate detour.....Some of these guys are so full of.....themselves....Great to have self confidence but I wish they would think before coming out with some of these gems

600k for Zach is too much. He’s had a good career and earned his fair share. I mean you only take what is offered but I would have liked to see us have more flexible for salary at the quarterback position. We’re still paying him like he’s 2022 Zach and not 2026. Not the end of the world but I would have liked to see a deal similar to what Harris is making.

Look who was running the show. That goofball Hogan. Walters slept thru free agency last year. Lawler left. We have a turnstile at Center which affects the OL. Our receiving corps was so bad at one point we had Dalton Schoen playing on a torn ACL that he injured. Later, we even put Chris Sterveler in at receiver. Give the guy a break.

The last two years, and virtually every playoff game here at that.

But we are stuck in a bad spot. We can't get someone who is top-tier at that or any other pay.

Zach could've taken a reduced deal, though. If he cut his salary by 1/3, we could sign an elite level talent and a position of need.

Walters admitted it. The Bombers don't renegotiate paycuts with players under contract. So, it's not up to Collaros to ask for less. It's up to Walters. Yet, somehow it's Zach's problem when it's not. Now, he's become an over hill the hill selfish player according to 90% of you here. He's not. Walters put us in this situation giving Zach an extension. And Walters got a new 3 year deal himself. Blame Walters Not Collaros.

The dumb move was to sign him to a two year extension before the season had even begun. You could see the decline coming and it got worse this season. Even if sticking with him, they could have easily got him for a lot less if they waited until the end of the season to offer an extension, especially since they refuse to renegotiate contacts.  Bombers have a history of tying themselves to extensions for QBs on their way down.

They would have also had the time to see if Wilson or a prospect from another team may have been an option at the end of the season and could have begun a transition if that opportunity presented itself.

When you think of it, a detour is a route you take when your first choice is blocked and still gets you to your destination.

Is that what Kramdi got? That's insane. That would make him the 2nd highest paid d,b only behind Ford.
