Back in the Cold Wars days, the CIA had a bunch of deep minds working in a field called "Kremlinology" which was about figuring out the true objectives and dynamics of the Soviet Union.

The Soviets, being a secretive bunch, didn't talk a lot about their true feelings or objectives. They would have a message and they would stick to it.  And so the Kremlinologists would have to read between the lines and use the tiniest tidbits, such as the arrangements of chairs or portraits in meetings, the positions of the soviet officials on parade, the scheduling and location of meetings, etc, to do their analysis.

In the end, they found that most of their analysis wasn't super useful and was just about people looking for confirmation of their existing opinions.

Today, I feel like some people are doing Oshology.

Soooo...to the article, Montreal has a decisive edge. I agree with the analysis but we shall see.

For the most part, the article isn't wrong but when it is, it's way wrong.  He has ST as a toss up but says "If James Letcher Jr. is in the lineup, his one play game-breaking ability is king and Montreal gets the nod", which is absolutely insane.

Letcher had zero return touchdowns of any kind this season (and just 1 TD last year) while Vaval has four.  But yeah Ferguson, you go on about a crazy game breaking ability that doesn't seem to exist and completely ignore the guy who should (imo) win ST player of the year.  Not saying Letcher is a bad returner but Vaval was clearly the best this year so that should be a slam dunk category for us.

Problem with Vaval is he's just as likely to fumble or gaffe that leads to an opposing score as he is to bust one.

I disagree with this take completely...but it also doesn't change the fact that he has been the best return man all year and I believe he already has as many returns TDs as Letcher has in his career.

Vaval has four touchdowns and 11 returns of more than 30 yards and is tied for second in punt return average (12.8, behind Wooten's 15.0) ... the CFL does not track individual fumble stats but I'm pretty sure that Vaval nets out to a positive ...

Vaval has has a lot of upside....AND for a rook who has eclipsed a lot of other returners in 25' is certainly going to be in our line-up for quite awhile....He does have a tendency to try for extra yardage, that results in a few give-aways....something I'm sure he will correct as his experience grows....Who knows he eventually might get us to forget Janarion..........

but hey why let reality get in the way of a hot take?

In theory he could be a Bomber for some time. OTOH, he might decide to use his NFL option window for another shot down south. We'd lose him for a 1/2 season or longer possibly.  Woodbey might be another player interested in trying again.

I'm not saying their play has necessarily attracted a lot of NFL interest but that doesn't stop them from signing some TC deal.

I know our receiving corps is ****, but I still wouldn't play Demski this weekend... He's just gonna make it worse.

I say we go with our best......lose and there's no tomorrow kind of scenario...I think if Demski is unable to go he'll be straight up about it and sit
