The former defensive back often rushes only three players and drops nine into coverage, forcing the opposing quarterback to navigate tight windows downfield. It’s a good scheme — the Blue Bombers will finish the season ranked first in offensive points allowed — but it’s not one that generates a lot of pressure.” Hodge has lost the plot on this one, and is refusing to admit to the reality most every one sees. The personnel we are married to on the dl can’t rush the passer reliably. Even sporadically is asking a lot of them. We just finished having 3 rookie ends in their first game as pros along with our 2nd unit dl, sack/pressure/hit clean mbt and the first/2nd string als ol 15 + times at an over 50% win rate on passing downs. We saw it again in week 9 when wj had his best game of the year, his random flip the switch throw back to when he was a modp type guy. We’ve seen JY run all manner of pressure packages, mostly succeeding with dbs as our lbers are pretty awful at pass rushing. The 30 front drop every one package evolved from our in ability to get pressure with 4-5. We’ve seen hall run all kinds of front schemes to get pressure with great success. Who maybe hodge has forgotten is still here working with jy. We’ve been dressing 5-6 dl including 1-2 canadians completely unable to win a 1on1 or disrupt, and wj who is permanently coasting looking for pass knock downs. That while the rest of the league is running 9-10 DL, with 5+ imports and focusing on heavily rotating young, athletic guys in who can create disruption. Which ironically is our old play book with hall running the D. yup...scheme never changed yesterday...but got sacks...a lot of hurries....QB getting pounded so was far from comfortable...all effect the trajectory of the game....and how many times are drives snuffed out with a huge loss on a sack or the pressure causing errors?...more than you can count....I dont care how good your db's are...and how many you drop back..If the QB has all day and not a care in the world....they will eat your lunch...and sure they may not score a ton....but eat up the clock and keep your offence off the field and unable to score...and has been a big factor in many a game for us rebusrankin, wbbfan and Stickem 2 1

Costello is the only must keep. I’d like to keep jackson as well. But if we go in a different direction i wouldn’t be heart broken. (I’d love masoli as a qb coach). Hogan and billy jean can kick their can down the road. And bolduc I’m pretty meh on. Wouldn’t want to keep him and jackson we need heavy change. 3 minutes ago, Booch said: yup...scheme never changed yesterday...but got sacks...a lot of hurries....QB getting pounded so was far from comfortable...all effect the trajectory of the game....and how many times are drives snuffed out with a huge loss on a sack or the pressure causing errors?...more than you can count....I dont care how good your db's are...and how many you drop back..If the QB has all day and not a care in the world....they will eat your lunch...and sure they may not score a ton....but eat up the clock and keep your offence off the field and unable to score...and has been a big factor in many a game for us Imagine how good our secondary would look with that kind of pressure from 3-4 guys regularly? The D would be scary rebusrankin 1

Yeah regardless of what happens this playoffs...I hope we cut bait with the works save for Costello and Jackson...I'd be happy with Jackson as the OC/QB coach tho.... It's been blatantly obvious OC Clown guys has nbo clue....has an ego a well...why I'm unsure and just isnt cut out to be a pro OC wbbfan, Stickem and MrFreakzilla 3

Best case if we promote jackson to oc, is we bring in a support coach. Either some one who has been an oc a lot and can support jackson with the minutia. Or maybe younger/cfl rookie type with experience in more diverse us systems who can be developed here but also give hands on insight to specific systems we want jackson to grow into. Like some one with more spread to run zone running schemes outside of tite/izr who can diversify our run game. Or some one with more experience in spread RPO to help our guys execute reads and work options much more effectively. Like calgary did last year. Booch 1

Stickem Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago The qb situation has to change ....unfortunately I think we've seen the last of Streve.....We have Artopoeus ,Wilson and a big question mark if Zack packs it in.....I'd like to see Elgersma brought in AND it looks like Tre Ford is going to be available ...BIG ??question marks in 26'...After the post season we better have a plan
JuranBoldenRules Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Wilson is not a toolsy QB at all. Out of 20 passes, 1 was great. That's ******* horrific for any QB at this level. He can't pass on the move and the only reasonable skill he has is running off a rollout/boot. Low velocity passes, poor accuracy, poor decisions. Can't put the ball on a guy. Any pass over about 5 yards is a lob or in the dirt. Guy has zero confidence is his own arm. There's not anything to develop there on a guy who is 28 by next training camp. How do you feel he's progressed, if he has at all .. does he have the potential to become a full time Guard at some point?
ddanger Posted 32 minutes ago Report Posted 32 minutes ago 5 hours ago, Slimy Sculpin said: I agree about his throwing. He generally throws a pretty tight spiral which is more than I can say for Streveler or even Collaros. On the INT in the endzone, he did have Stearns wide open but tried to feather it to him and off of his back foot to boot. I like his athleticism, too. For his first real action, I thought that he did OK. I also wasn't too impressed with Hogan's play calling but I also think that he should be fired so even if he had called a good game, I'd be still calling for his firing. No brakes to pump regarding Wilson, I don't recall any posters thinking that he was the "second coming." Very much agree with this....the interception was exactly as you describe it, an inexperienced qb trying to cosey the ball into a spot. Yes Hogan should be fired. And who the he&* dreamed up those 2 useless shovel passes?? Brutal
