....but seriously, that offense was repulsive, but it was fun watching the next generation of D and ST. Awesome to get to double digit wins for like 9 years in a row...

Excited for playoffs, but whatever happens, I'm stoked for next year too.

I think this win means the only person who has more wins with a single team than O'Shea is Buono, who had more with both the Stamps and the Lions

Really nice to see some ferocity and pressure by our D Line which has been absent all year. But we will play Vaughters who has been basically invisible because he's a vet.

MCI. Was blown away by his speed. Wow.

Defense in general was great. ST was pretty good. Offense was pretty Abysmal outside of Petterson. But expected without Collaros, Demski and Pokey.

Any concerns about Serge? I know it was a windy day and not chip shots... But for conversation sake....?

He has the odd game with the yips but it never seems to become a rough streak. If any thing it makes me think he will be at his best for the play offs wanting to bounce back

Always. Give me a Friday or Saturday Bomber game. Whatever went down during the week, doesn't matter.

Luv this kid Peterson......we didn't miss a beat letting Augustine fly the coop

Those new defensive ends made some noise and a case for sticking around

Wilson.....competent to cold....Sad for Streve .....I think he's done

he’s too good to sit on the bench all next year. We need to be working he and brady into the O at the same time. MCI should get extreme focus too. Use him as an h back / te / slot a lot more.

At a minimum Jenkins, Jaworski and Bailey showed a lot of promise.

2 of those 3 should be on the ar next week. 1 as the di de, and bailey for one of the 3 canadian back S/cover guys. kelly/ball/hallett.

Imo, Jenkins with his first step is the better pure edge rusher. Jaworski could rush from the inside, 30 edge, or edge. And his bull rush style would greatly benefit our other linemen.

We should also sign a qb to be no3. We should use kyrie as a naturalized player and rotate him with Smith, but we won’t.

Also worth note, vanterpool was solid again at T. He should start next week at G though.

I like the way Wilson throws, but let's pump the brakes guys. He threw for 79 yards and played most of the game.

I agree about his throwing. He generally throws a pretty tight spiral which is more than I can say for Streveler or even Collaros. On the INT in the endzone, he did have Stearns wide open but tried to feather it to him and off of his back foot to boot. I like his athleticism, too. For his first real action, I thought that he did OK. I also wasn't too impressed with Hogan's play calling but I also think that he should be fired so even if he had called a good game, I'd be still calling for his firing. No brakes to pump regarding Wilson, I don't recall any posters thinking that he was the "second coming."

first action requires a citation imo. He’s been through 3 training camps playing in 3 years pre seasons, dressed for 36 games, and as we all know he played in last years GC, before all that he spent 2 years in the usfl and never qualified as a rookie in the cfl. He also turns 28 in january.

Hes had as much professional polishing as you get before starting in the CFL. He 100% should’ve gotten a bunch more snaps this year. we wasted a lot of snaps late in one sided games where the qb or both qbs ahead of him struggled greatly.

But it is extremely hard to imagine him taking a significant leap forward, and suddenly making good reads and throwing with consistent accuracy.

He looks much the same as from his first pre season game. Great raw athletic tools, none of the nuance parts required to succeed as a starter.

thought Vanterpool actually played better than Randolph who was beat badly a few times by Archibald for one

https://3downnation.com/2025/10/25/winnipeg-blue-bombers-beat-alouettes-but-playoff-path-remains-unclear-12-other-thoughts/

“As long as Jordan Younger is in charge of Winnipeg’s defence, the unit will always be at or near the bottom of the league in sacks. The former defensive back often rushes only three players and drops nine into coverage, forcing the opposing quarterback to navigate tight windows downfield. It’s a good scheme — the Blue Bombers will finish the season ranked first in offensive points allowed — but it’s not one that generates a lot of pressure.”

Hodge has lost the plot on this one, and is refusing to admit to the reality most every one sees. The personnel we are married to on the dl can’t rush the passer reliably. Even sporadically is asking a lot of them.

We just finished having 3 rookie ends in their first game as pros along with our 2nd unit dl, sack/pressure/hit clean mbt and the first/2nd string als ol 15 + times at an over 50% win rate on passing downs.

We saw it again in week 9 when wj had his best game of the year, his random flip the switch throw back to when he was a modp type guy. We’ve seen JY run all manner of pressure packages, mostly succeeding with dbs as our lbers are pretty awful at pass rushing.

The 30 front drop every one package evolved from our in ability to get pressure with 4-5. We’ve seen hall run all kinds of front schemes to get pressure with great success. Who maybe hodge has forgotten is still here working with jy.

We’ve been dressing 5-6 dl including 1-2 canadians completely unable to win a 1on1 or  disrupt, and wj who is permanently coasting looking for pass knock downs. That while the rest of the league is running 9-10 DL, with 5+ imports and focusing on heavily rotating young, athletic guys in who can create disruption.

Which ironically is our old play book with hall running the D.

touch will come with live "game" reps....He has the tools...can he develop them, and develop his eyes and what he see's...he deserves to be frought back...but has to take the next step...and a big one next spring...if not...time to cut bait

The als are good at pressure off the edge, Rando and vanterpool were pretty close in terms of quality, I think you could make a good case for either guy. I wouldnt be surprised at all if that’s our starting tackle combo next year.
