Super Duper Negatron Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago That last drive was a microcosm of our season. No heart. No urgency. No execution. Terrible play calling. This is RedBlacks football and I hate it. JohnnyAbonny, wbbfan, Blue28 and 3 others 5 1
ShyGuy Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago I didn't get to watch most of the game did Streveler actually get reps at receiver!?? I was joking about that!
Noeller Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago No heart was the definition of tonight's game. We were defeated by the cold. When the fans are more willing to fight through it than the players, it's an embarrassment. That was just a sad effort. K-Shack, rebusrankin, JohnnyAbonny and 1 other 3 1
Super Duper Negatron Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago **** if that game didn't feel like each of the last 3 Grey Cups. JohnnyAbonny, deepsixemtoboyd, Noeller and 2 others 5

Doublezero Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago Pokey made an amazing TD grab though. Bailed out Collaros who tossed another noodle-armed miss. Booch and deepsixemtoboyd 1 1
JohnnyAbonny Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago 1. Zach, good first quarter then back to his patented Huck it..Chuck it..Football! brand of ineptitude. 2. Whatever our DL is supposed to be is a disgrace. 3. The coaching staff as a whole. The whole team had lackadaisical preseason effort. Coming off a bye week there’s no excuse. Dishonourable mentions- Parker should have had that dropped pick in the 4th. Wilson and Jones getting dragged around trying to tackle. Whoever decided not to play Houston. Whoever is responsible for multiple plays with 3-4 receivers bunched up in the same area. Most likely Hogan. Kolo with his usual game. Worst interior OL in the league. Giving up a 65 yard TD run on 3rd and 2. Crappy Honker- The garbage deep throws to nothing and nobody on 2nd/3rd and 4 with over a minute left. Honourable- Pokey’s catch, Brady’s effort. Vaval’s returning. wbbfan, deepsixemtoboyd, K-Shack and 1 other 2 2
White Out Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago Zach is ******* cooked and the opposite of a big game player. I cant stand how stupid we are as a team. deepsixemtoboyd 1
Mark H. Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago Giving up a TD on 3 & 2, with the RB almost untouched. And giving up another TD when the opposing team fumbles a punt...of all the bloody things. Certainly interesting and creative ways to lose. rebusrankin and Noeller 2

I’m not a conspiracy theorist type. but the hammy games playbook install did look a lot like jackson’s offence in edmonton. And this one looks a lot like what we’ve seen the rest of the season. I don’t buy that hogan was stripped of duties or any thing especially after this week. But i do think they looked at what hamilton does and decided to bring more of jackson’s stuff in. Why we didn’t run any of that this week is completely beyond me. I’ll say too, billy jean as an offensive assistant/wr coach has handily under performed what bourgoins did with wrs previously here. No one knows what to do when zach scrambles, is pressured, and no one works off any one else. We should not see route/assignment failures at this point of the year. especially not regularly. Maybe jean is being micro managed, or some thing. But when we have jackson and a coach for each position wrs should be on the same page with zach/our qb. rebusrankin, BigBlueFanatic and Mark H. 2 1
Noeller Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago I've thought a lot about the 1991 team... Hosting the GC a year after being a GC-calibre team..... We went 9-9, whooped Ottawa in the WSF, then got stomped by Toronto in the EF. Curious if we see a similar end to the season this year...(Different teams, but you get me...)

Lots of BB fans in attendance who left empty handed. Just a meh effort with no urgency, complete 180 from our last game. I’d say we lost the line of scrimmage on both sides the ball yet again. BO did as much as he could. Game was close but ZC didn’t make the throws when needed, gave up some big yardage at key times but their kicker missed two field goals, they took penalties that aided us tremendously but didn’t make the plays when needed on both sides of the ball. Wasn’t the primary reason we lost the game but frequently running a three man front and rarely getting pressure on the QB is extremely frustrating to watch. Just don’t like the lack of aggressiveness to disrupt their qb. And an aside noticed Mitchell got some pretty good flak from MOS on a play and he just drifts off away from his teammates on the sidelines when the D is on and stands away on his own whatever that means. On a windy game like today having TW’s arm strength when we were going against the wind would have been nice. Mark H. and Noeller 2

You can’t expect to beat pressure packages with more bodies when you got guys inside losing 1on1 battles with regularity. You can only get the ball out faster. rebusrankin, Mark H. and Bubba Zanetti 3
3rdand1.5 Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Offensive game plan was offensive.... Zach had a terrible game, every throw over what 15 yards was a bad throw.....he had guys underneath but still forced long balls....giving him two bad picks....should have been more...Wilson bailed him out big on his only TD, it was an extremely under throw pass yet again... The Oline couldn't handle Edmonton's D rush all game... And yet again we had Strevelor playing receiver......but it's all good we had an excess of LB's again.....who cares about offensive right...as long as we have enough LB and DB we will be alright.... 3rd and 4 throw a bomb...of course a bad throw to boot....why not....every deep ball to that point didn't work, so situationally another deep shot seems right on par ....40 seconds left in the half, tight game, screw the smart plays......long bomb....straight to a pick with a severely undertaken pass and points to the other team...situational awareness be damned...we are too smart to be make conventional play calls on this offence,..... It's not just this past game...this offence has been terrible save for possibly two anomaly weeks...... Oh well maybe they just need a few more vet days on offence...oh and maybe take another offensive player off I think we could use one more LB ..that will work I'm sure next week I'm sure....... Dreamcatcher Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago We still have a lot of good players on this team, however, I believe everything starts and stops in the trenches. Our O-Line needs a couple of replacements starting with Center. Remove Hogan as our play caller, plug in Jackson and then perhaps we will get a better idea regarding the QB position. Maybe Collaros has deer in the headlights syndrome right now. The Hamilton game looked more like our team. This game? Back to the way we played all season. As far as receivers go, I like what we have but we need one more big play guy. Will Dalton Schoen be effective next year? He has been injured a lot. On Defense, our linebackers and D-Line are...well...offensive. Our starters in the secondary I could live with. Allen, Nichols, Lawson, Parker, Houston, Holm, Griffin, Bonds...Im ok with this group. Our Linebackers? Woodbey...yes, and maybe Griffin/Kramdi...I also like the Canadian LB'S we have, but for now, I think we need a solid middle linebacker, because I am not sold on Jones at all. I watched him and Wilson get pulled along the ground by Edmontons RB a few times. The D-Line....Where to start...Woods, Person, Adams, Lawson as a Canadian back up...I would keep these guys, but Willie Jefferson, Thomas, Vaughters...either are inconsistent at this point, or past their expiration date. This D-Line needs serious push up the middle, and ends that will contain, or get to the QB. The O-Line needs to give Collaros time to check down on his reads...he doesnt really have it. Nothing ground breaking here. Although I havent touched on the idea of replacing Collaros and Streveller, I would do so for the right 2 QB'S. They would both need to be able to chuck it and protect it.
17to85 Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago We called a draw with 1 play left to try and win the game.... what the **** kind of coaching is that? Brady ain't the guy to bust a run that long. rebusrankin and Stickem 2

Booch Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago (edited) I'll say it again...coaching is just killing us...over and over This team shows as poorly prepared save for the odd anomaly here and there The roster is chalk full of poor coaches decisions and when you have in game injury issues rarely are we covered with the glut of ST guys who's only use is on ST and are a detriment if they have to go in...our overall roster is garbage ad we have maybe 2 actual superstar/difference makers We can't adjust to the game flow and repeatedly get out coached in second halfs...but we show/have no urgency to fix anything cause we claim we have all these starter quality guys and they will review the "film" and work it out...well we 16 games in season now..and are teetering into falling into 5th place We let our roster rot to what it is now..a lot of well paid guys who can't cut it...and way too many guys with no business even being on roster...but coach loves em...so we hooped We are definitely a mess and in serious need of a reboot...Sadly...all avoidable if we turned guys on roster over more liberally..paid guys who were top notch...instead of letting walk...and going after FA studs that could have supplanted some of our slugs...who cares how long they been here...if you can upgrade...u upgrade....we mismanaged a legit team of the ages and turned it into almost a joke now Who knows if any of the guys we brought in but cut in lieu of all these long in the tooth coaches faves were better....but its obviously it couldn't been worse...and if anything they were young with possible upside...not old...declining...zero upside...and several who really just sucked anyway and prob wouldn't be rostered anywhere but here...but that's what happens when you look back..4..5 yrs and not forward...and Osh's comment at beginning of season says it all and I flagged it even then "You look at a guys film from years past and see the success, and that's what they bring here" or something to that effect...and thats just crap way to build your roster...and we been seeing it in real time for 3 yrs now. Factor in some bad coaching...and poor in game management...well u get what we've witnessed Edited 2 hours ago by Booch Tracker, rebusrankin and Blue28 2 1
BigBlueFanatic Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago 1. Osh - the only things I recognize on this team are some names and the W. Physicality? Nope. Effort? Nope. 2. Coordinators - it’s like they burned the film of the hammy game. Done with em 3. Blue f$cking pants. They are the diapers of the equipment room, as the Bombers frequently sh!t themselves in blue pants. Crappy Honker: WFC for tricking me into having a little hope before the bye week Super Duper Negatron 1
