Go Bombers.

Like most everyone else, I’m not going into this game with a tonne of optimism.  I’m just hoping for a performance that doesn’t make me want to punch my tv.

Sorry to sound like Mr. Negative...and usually I do try and be positive...but from what I have seen from our offence this year, I have virtually no faith in them showing up or making a play when needed.

 

I do think the defence has improved and is evolving even with some key injuries, I do believe they can compete with the other teams and keep us in games now. Our specials are doing great.....but.....I just can't see us winning many games with this offence...sorry

yeah to have any success this yr it's gonna have to be riding the defense and ST's

Defense still needs a few tweeks...like to see a few different guys already rostered get more use on it...hopefully adding a Woods...Bailey(to see if he has benefit) and relegating a couple guys to injury replacement only

FROM what I know...He is ready, and game reps would be only thing to progress him now...But we figure dressing Ayers...a LB and having him out of position on dline, and then giving no reps  is the way to go...like really??

Much like in 2023...Parker was ready to play well over a month before he actually got on roster...and was quite frustrated about it....

I think we’re going to squeak out an ugly win. We’re usually a much better team at home. I’m not sure I have much confidence in this team right now but this is a winnable game, the place will be rocking regardless.

Yeah, if Woods is physically ready to play, it’s ridiculous to not get him in the lineup.  Especially with our depleted secondary, that hasn’t exactly been firing on all cylinders, we need to create havoc in the pocket.

A dl of Woods, Adams, Lawson (when healthy, and Thomas (because hes AR till he retires sadly), wj, Vaughters, and Person would be deadly. Throw in bailey inplace of a back-of-the-roster canadian and you have a scary, scary front. 

Blitzing is hard to make work consistently in the CFL. Because of that, you are best off imo, if you run with the best mix of disruptive DL talent you can find.

when we had success in the past...we had 6 legit guys who could take reps and actually make plays...Right now with Lawson on the shelf we have 4 (WJ...Vaughters...Person and Adams)

Thats why we get minimal pressure tho going away from that lame contain let em beat the secondary scheme has helped...our secondary now is in shambles...so smart minds you would think would beef up the dline if they could....guess we aint smart

Ottawa talent alone on offence compared to us may be the difference...

Well, the real matchup is the Bomber popgun offence against the Ottawa defence, and the Ottawa offence against the porous Bomber defence and that is not good for the Bomber win potential. Gonna be hard to watch without a  mouthful of anti-emetics.

Ott totally shut down Mills and CGY's run game a few weeks back....and they have a better Oline than we do....They shut BO down and force us to beat em by passing...or creativity?....we screwed

Hey, I want them to win as much as any of us do, just don’t like the look of the matchup.

I hope I’m horribly wrong and they shitkick Ottawa, I just don’t see how with our DBs vs their WRs for one example. 

Prediction: Dru will ******* smoke our defense and we will lose. And the stroke the Bombers management is working on giving me by sticking with Zach and letting Dru go will continue to chug along until one day I pop 

I predict: The Bombers will play their most complete 3 quarters of the year, Collaros will be consistent but not remarkable. The game will be out of reach at the start of the 4th and the Bombers will let their foot off the gas. They will still win convincingly but Brown will put up super gaudy numbers which will fuel the Brown vs Collaros debate for weeks to come. 

we gonna start off good....get up...then get out adjusted and coached....be out of it by 4th....and no player who could help us...or could be a possible fix will get any reps until about 1 min left...cause that's just how she goes here

We were making the same comments about Buck Pierce and his adjustments last year (other than when we felt he had moments of brilliance).

Perhaps it's time to acknowledge that it's more talent than scheme

When you take a hard look at the offense we used to have, the only one who has been effectively replaced, is Andrew Harris

The OL is good when they can start Bryant and 2 other Americans, but it is still a shadow of its former self

On D same thing. Younger's scheme was lauded last year, this year it is not working as well.

With the way the league / refs are letting offensive lines hold, I think it's essential to have a good secondary

Until that gets sorted, nothing else the D does will matter.

You may wish to consider that "evolving"  is a process that took millions of years.

Maybe Osh is looking to retire and getting a package to go away is what he's hoping for.
