Those depth charts give me a big yikes. Lot more talent on Ottawa, especially offensively. Does not look like a good matchup whatsoever. Our best chance imo is if the weather is bad and both teams have to run the ball.

Need lots of pressure from the front 7 and need to eliminate the turnovers on Offense. Weather should be perfect for a Thursday night Football game!!! GO BLUE!!!

respectively....**** off with the debby downer BS.

My expectations for a decent performance by the blue is very low.  The bar is so low I don't think an inch worm could slide underneath it.  I just hope Ottawa doesn't embarrass us too much!

Brown going off for 400+...4 td's....no pics....looking silky smooth will be a right kick to the plums...especially in front of a full house

Ottawa isn't a well coached team.  They have some talented pieces but Dyce isn't a good head coach.

Not that our coaches have been lighting the world on fire this season but, if we lose to the RedBlacks tonight, it should be a serious indictment of our coaching staff.

Tommy Condell is a great OC

nor are we....so thats a wash

Ottawa talent alone on offence compared to us may be the difference...

As always on us this season....target the corners.  I hope they get Vaval off the D pretty quick and it's just some depth chart glitch.  Give Allen a shot and see what he can do.

Redblacks dline hasnt been great, we should be able to run, and provide better protection for Zac which will make all the difference.

Brown isnt as mobile as some weve faced so hopefully our dline can dial it up.

Go Blue!

With all the injuries it looks like it will be a track meet with few defensive stops. Ottawa's strength is their offence, so gotta give them the advantage.

Boy, that looks like a tough depth chart to expect much out of.

It'll be interesting to see if Smith or Allen gets decent reps this game, or if it all continues to go to Kelly. And we waste another di, again.

Best hope for this game is Ott finds a way to struggle against us. It's tough to put up back to back big offensive out puts.

Keys to the game,

Find a way to slow down Ottawa. Secondary looks shakey, and ottawa has a good group of wrs. Plus brown and stanback. We can't win a shoot out here, so the D has to find a way to drag ottawa into an ugly grinding game.

Find a way to sustain offense. We have to find a way to keep drives alive and stop going 2 and out.

Teams X factor. Special teams is really where we aren't banged up, and have a lot of roster value invested. Vaval went off a few games ago, and Sergio has been outstanding this year. We will need that unit to pave the way today.

Players to watch, Vaval, Lawson jr, Kramdi, Smith, Allen, Kelly, Jjones, Adams, Ayers, Mitchell, and always Qb1.

I agree with TB's thoughts - IMHO Ottawa has a large advantage over us if you look at their receivers vs. our D Backs! - It may be a long day for our defense as I doubt we will get much pressure on Dru. And they will probably get lots of pressure or Zac!

Why does reality insist on being so assertive? Just gets depressing!

Anyway, any given game day. ott despite having some good pieces, is not a scary team imo. You can't allow yourself to play down to them; they eat that up. But I don't think they have the grit to win tough, ugly games against us.

I'm more curious/concerned about our prepedness nd if we actually have done something...anything different to try and show we can adapt and actually game plan accordingly

I have my doubts....and I fully expect us to look good with a drive or 2 outta the gate....seem dialed in on defence...and then just watch it slowly escape us as we have no ability or thought of adjusting anything....and doing some legit in-game coaching to secure the win....hope I wrong but.....................

i didn’t hear of any practice reports this week. combine that with the 4 days between games with 2 flights, plus one day of film review from last week and i bet the “walk through” was mostly airport/hotel. It was probably two days of film and team meetings to unpack the last game and install for this week.

I can’t see any significant changes in execution, prep, tackling etc.

Last week was a 1 point loss, to IMO the best team in the west.

That was the 3rd time we played them in our last 5 games, though. going 0-3 by a total deficit of 43 points. The last game in a series like that should be the hardest for Calgary to win. Dropping back-to-back games vs the same team by 21 points each, then 2 games after that dropping a 3rd by 1 point isn't a positive for us.

nope...that's my same thoughts....no real prep....limited opportunity to even do so if we desired to, but sadly Osh thinks we right there and some good film work and it will all work itself out....just lazy way going about things and really...an inability to even see the issues, let alone the ability to do anything about it

not to mention that game should've been a walk for the Bombers after going up 17-0...

yep. that’s the hardest loss for me to swallow so far this year. idk how you can’t over come a game plan on the 3rd try in a month n change.

I know it's way too easy to say this in hindsight... and credit to some here that called it... after the 2023 season was the chance to do a significant re-tool... move on from Zach and roll with Dru... move on from Biggie after his injury in the WF and subsequent reinjury in the GC... start auditioning guys everywhere that wasn't solidified... might've meant some growing pains in 2024... but we had that anyways.... good coaching/management should've had the foresight to start preparing for the 2025 GC a season early

I have zero faith until proven otherwise in our coaching...and that's not just from losing 4 of our last 5 games...this has been since 2023 or so.....which coincides quite nicely with our talent and depth starting to age out...erode...or walk away.

If not possessing a stacked roster...I not sure if we really have the coachability to pull things out of the fire, utilize, let alone recognize actual talent or make changes on the fly....

like i have said several yrs....coaching has been killing us...and we have scratched out a lot of wins in spite of the coaching....except when it really mattered (3 grey cups)

or some glimpses of an actual Pro offensive play book....and play calling
