  • Zero effort this half anywhere on O or ST

  • I swear Hogan has no concept of situational football

  • To me, this is such low level judging of the game. Of course we didn’t lose because of two singles. We lost because of continuous poor coaching, including the coaching choice to give up those two sing

This team knows they are not good enough- almost top to bottom and any lead they have is ephemeral.

Honestly they look like the RedBlacks have for the past few seasons. Just a whole meh pile of nothing.

Self fulfilling prophecy.  Gotta cut some of the low effort crew.  Start with the receivers.

Sure but this other guy sounds like you combined me and Noeller and then fed the result thirty IPAs

The 30 IPA part might actually be accurate but kudos to him for following his passion.

So let go of the past..aka about 4 players to start...and maybe a coach or 3

Our coordinators are getting thoroughly outclassed.

If you replaced all those guys with rookies you'd have low six figures saved.  So like basically the difference between signing Vaughters or starting a rookie DE there.

Them being here doesn't stop them from signing other guys.

Yep..not to mention the vet contract status is now in effect so we gotta pay them or 6 game them no matter what. Other than sending a message it serves zero purpose SMS wise to release any vet.

Man...our receiving corps sucks. 75% of the sacks tonight were coverage sacks and Zac being told, for good reason, no more 50/50 balls. Our receivers are not winning those battles.

Ya from what I saw/heard, I actually didn't think Zach was bad... But he had **** to work with all around him. Line, receivers, play calls... Tough to work with that.

So Mitchell 3 catches for 22 yards, caught all his targets.

Case 2 catches, 10 yards, 1TD, caught 2 of 5 targets.

I'd say Mitchell is at least an upgrade.

Well at least we have something to build on.

This season was over before even started the moment we signed Jake Thomas in January well before free agency.

lol, this is such a fan site thing to say. Groupthink has made people believe he’s the single biggest problem this franchise has ever faced.

We were up 17-0..  should have been more... then our oc kicked in and our secondary was exposed.

But I'm sure we know the mistakes we made and will fix em.

And Calgary adjusted then it went from good start to them moving the ball at will.

22 yards isn't much of an upgrade

He is a problem but it's way down the list.

OH Mitchell wasn't lights out by any means but he was more productive than Case. I'll concede I am making a petty point.

Osh defended the decisions on the KRs as " a point or 40 yards" as if Vaval would have just, what, taken a knee? Also said "they did it at the end too!" as if it was even remotely the same.

Yeah one of them the ball hit at the 8 yard line.  He returns it 15 yards they are at the 25.  So at best we’re conceding a point for 15 yards.

Starting to wonder if this staff caught lightning in a bottle in 2019 and have no idea how they did it.

They built a great team.  As it’s aged they haven’t replaced a multitude of all-star players.  Then it’s death by a million paper cuts with assignments being missed down after down, no spectacular plays and silly decisions around scoring or giving up points just piling on to the struggle.

It's not just that we bled talent, we bled the players who shined brightest when the game was on the line. I don't care if a guy is mediocre for 59 minutes but makes a big play for the win. No one is making nearly enough of those game deciding plays for the win and we have too many big plays for the win going against that's for sure. 17-0 even after the 1Q was usually garbage time for the rest of the game because no team could ever, or at least very rarely, erase that against us..now it's being done 20 mins of game time.

Even last year, our D was shut down..now with mostly the same personnel we are getting torched. I don't get it, other than Younger got figured out and has nothing else up his sleeve, or does not have the personnel to fix it.

Last week we got 2 players playing out of their minds (Vaval and Jefferson) and it tilted the game in our favor..this week bupkus.

We need standout performances more often, doesn't have to be the same guys, but football is a game that requires those half dozen huge plays a game.

Lawler would give us at least a couple a game. That's why he was a bigger loss than his stats even showed.

I didn't like the decision to give up the 2 points either but anyone suggesting that's why we lost is missing the plot.

The points we missed when our OL couldn't convert twice on 3rd and short is a much better indicator of why we lost.

We are getting manhandled game in and game out now.

Which is why the coaches need to see the writing on the wall and take the 3 points. The Bombers did not play well, but this should've been a win.

At the time we gave up the singles we had the lead and were going against the wind. The points are irrelevant if we don't blow a 17 point lead.  You play field position against the wind with the lead.

Look i get that those points were the margin of victory but it's not why we lost. Should have never come down to that. Asking a coach to predict his team shatting the bed is asking him to have a defeatist attitude and that permeates thru a locker room. You coach to win believing your team will make the plays that justify your decisions. Instead they drive only to fail on 3rd and inches. Those points were the margin of victory lost.

Any idea if or when Schoen is back, not that it would have made any difference?

Yeah he's a real difference maker. We were only in the game from his massive contributions. I look forward to seeing 4/30 next weekend from him.
