I think Hogan’s style of offense would work better with a mobile qb. For the most part, I’ve liked the playcalling with Streveler at qb, but the problem is that Streveler isn’t very good. He misses easy throws and isn’t very mobile anymore.

I don’t like either of our qbs anymore, but at this point I probably would go with Streveler and hope for the best. Moot point however, as Collaros isn’t going anywhere.

Collaros has hit his ceiling and is on the way down. Streveler has yet to show us how good he can be post-rehab. He may or may not be the future, but we gotta find out.

I thought Person looked pretty good he made the mistake of getting his hand in the mask but basically had 2 sacks in limited time. Vaval looked like an instant upgrade over Bridges. Who returns kicks next week assuming Vaval remains at corner?  Mario Alford is available.

Our OL are mostly guys in their 30's. Neufeld 36, Bryant 40. Kolo 32. How long do you think they'd last?

Would like to see is go after Dakota Shepley who is almost certain to get cut by Dallas.

Bryant is out right now and we have Vanterpol 26, Randolph 26 and Wallace 25 to mix with the 2 30 plus year olds. Getting off the ball quick and fast pacing will tire a Dline always chasing and not able to switch out a lot quicker especially late in the game

Actually Bryant could be back next game for all we know so going up tempo with our older veterans makes no sense. Even with just two guys sucking wind, that leaves them tired & missing blocks in the 3rd & 4th quarter.

I think Hogan wants a guy that moves the ball out a lot quicker, like a Calvillo/Glenn style.  Neither of our QB's is great at that.  Streveler really struggles if moved off his first read and then he goes hero mode...which he can't really do anymore on his own.  But Streveler does get into good rhythm off tempo and moves the ball out quicker in tempo.

IMO...we don't have the right receivers to run anything that works for Collaros....or really anyone.  Sterns can get some separation and make space, but he's 5'7.  He's not running by or through anyone after the catch.  Wheatfall doesn't seem like they trust.  He screws up and they just avoid him.  But often the only guy dressed who is a real target for vertical stuff which is kind of the calling card of this era for the Bombers.  Demski has some limits, obviously can make some big plays, but can disappear if there's no other threat.  Clercius is great at Z, win those isolation routes without having to deal with traffic and move his feet too much to win.  Mitchell brings that ability to take the top off, not a whole lot else.  Him and Wheatfall can be dangerous on screens if they are confident.  Schoen, who knows, doesn't look physically capable.

OL is up and down.  Think our Week 1 OL is the best combo, but the vets on our line week to week are consistently inconsistent.  Randolph...don't think he's won a job.  Vanterpool probably our best player on the line so far this year.

If I'm starting Streveler this week, I'd run tempo the whole game.  I'd have like 12 plays and just run the hell out of tempo, no huddle.  Inside zone read R/L, Outside zone read R/L, QB Draw, 3-4 RPO plays, 3-4 drop back passes, swap sides and route combos each pass play, change the reads so it looks different to D, short yardage pack.

Don't need to trick anyone one, just need to beat them and tire them out.

Execute and excel at the stuff you do best...work off that and augment when you can...simplify and perfect...then advance...this goes especially for our defence right now

Also...our receiving group really is crap for almost anything we wanna run...we should seriously consider a 2 back modified option offence with what we currently have

None of those 3 are established starters but yes. We are stuck in that awful middle ground between being too old, and lacking experience.

Oline knows where they going.. and what they doing...hence won't tire out like a dline...

Yep you have to build around what you have. Does not matter what you could do with all the right high level guys. Matters what you do with what you have.
I would say that is first failing of the mafia to install a guy who is more capable with what we have.

Don't worry guys.  MOS is totally relaxed we got blown out for a 3rd straight game.

Not surprised, he hasn't been held accountable for any failings here to day why would that start now? When you can toss away GCs to back up QBs, twice back to back to no less, you aren't going to worry mid-season.

The answers have always been easy, he just refuses to seriously consider or make them.

I think he seriously dorsnt see them....he's either uber stubborn and truly believes he's the smartest guy in the league...or he is just really really stupid

“We are going to stick to that process" Jesus, when did Chevy take over for O'Shea?

yeah...something about that process is flawed....especially when you not flush with top end guys in their prime....come to think of it...other than BO who do we have thats a top end talent in league in their prime??....I'd say Nichols as the last few games are not really an indication of him being all of a sudden bad....he's stuck in that damed if you do...damned if you dont situation trying to cover miscues elsewhere

The process only works when you have good enough players, which the team has had largely for the past several years. They don't have that anymore and time to change the process. Free ride is over Osh. Time to be a head coach again.

welcome to 1995 - the last time we went into the downward spiral of mediocrity and long drought.  We are probably almost there.  I hope we don't need to have a Reinebold situation again where we bring in a goofball who tanks us for two straight years before we wake up.

True. It’s also the job of the coaches to get the most out of guys and develop them. We haven’t been doing that worth a damn.

AND please ....not that guy in the mugshot....I don't give a damn how rested and tanned he is......Looking around the league, I don't see any head honcho that stands out right now.....Definitely would'nt want a re-tread

Which we will.

Do the handful of you ever think you’re the niche vocal minority of fans who are never actually satisfied. You know in business If you keep complaining about something or keep writing 1 star reviews at restaurants, eventually you aren’t taken seriously cuz all you do is just say the same stuff. Now there’s over 31000 tickets sold. I wonder how the other 30995 people feel. Prob not like the handful on here and until they do, there will be no firings. This is the vocal minority of fans on here. Most ppl don’t think about the bombers when it’s not game day. Something to keep in mind really. You aren’t gonna get your way yet.

B4 I’m **** on I don’t disagree with the vocal minority. I’m just realistic in expectations. 5 straight cup appearances means the rope is very long whether we all accept it or not. Nobody was fired after 2 and 6 so why after 3 and 3. It’s not gonna happen.

Doesn't matter what the majority think and nobody wants the team to be bad, quite the opposite, we want to continue kicking ass and taking names. But some people see the sink into mediocrity happening and saw it earlier.

First, I'm not shitting on you.

Some fans pay more attention to the team, that's just how it is.

But one thing is certain: if performances like those we saw this past Saturday keep happening, the casual fans will vote with their feet. It has happened before, it will happen again.

I remember attending a game at the end of 2014. Attendance was poor, and everyone but the die hards was there for the beer. The game consisted of watching Henry Burris and Co. shred our secondary.

There have been some major warning signs. I mean, losing a Grey Cup to Nick Arbuckle - that's quite glaring if you stop to think about it.
