It's galling when we see how Walters let Janarion Grant & Kenny Lawler leave. Two veterans who are still impact players in this league. We refuse to pay & yet we have no problem paying Thomas big bucks to do nothing as he's a 200 year veteran

The CFL's 15 highest-paid defensive linemen for the 2025 season - 3DownNation Dont think Jake is anyway near $200000 per year, but agree he is not performing anyway near what we need. Vaughters was an overpay though for what he has shown so far this year. Lawler is proving if any receiver is worth $300000 its him, I just dont think we had any sort of room at that price.

More like injury.

And both cases are piss poor coaching decisions...you make changes to better your team anytime...anyway...and before a slide....and our way of only due to injury has us in the mess we in...and the lack of trust in all these other "all number one" guys we apparently have...which is a huge load of ****

Some not so fun stats to this point of the year. The bombers have 3 tfl on the year. Bridges, jones, and kyrie each with 1.
Our entire dl, has 1 sack. Our team total is 5.
Moncrief alone has 4 tfl. Deontai Williams has 3. Chatfield has 5 sacks on his own. 10 players across the league have as many combined sacks and tfl as our team has tfl. 11 players would instantly lead us in tfl or sacks if acquired.

I think every one involved gets 100% of the blame. No splitting it. For what we pay wj and vaughters they should be winning a couple battles a game and atleast generating a couple pressure on their own.
Mos for dressing so few dl leaving us with few options, Jy for not doing better with what we have (especially Adams and Lawson).
Walters for allowing this foolishness to continue. Handicapping our self with our roster doesn’t make us better, or more morale or more Canadian. It just makes us worse and arrogant about being bad.

Garbutt, Habba, and fox have out performed our vets with their new teams.

Garbutt and fox have been real good...and woukd look even better here

But no worries we have Jake..and Korn..Scmeck chomping at the bit..experienced Ayers to help take load off...no sense in retaining upside guys who can play..and know the system

Yeah...last night was a nice kick to the plums watching them go off...and then watching Sterns...Vaval...and revisiting last yrs return excellence here...at 85k too....super savvy player management

Last season I thought BA Bighill and Kyrie were cooked. Thomas also. They agreed 2 of 4 were. I’m not sure why they play Jake so much, I don’t get it. Dude needs to recognize he’s done tho. I mean Jesus they cut him a few years ago and since bringing him back, have seemingly sucked him off since yet he’s not good. Nobody would pick him up if we released him. Make the decision there. Bridges and Parker are the others on D along with Kyrie who hasn’t been awful and Tony who also hasn’t been awful but he’s lacking. Try Ayers Jones Kramdi. Griffin. Plus 4 Canadians so 8 LB’s instead of double digits. Get some DL and extra O help on the roster.  Mitchell is a guy who might mesh well with zach. Sterns is reliable tho so maybe for Schoen if he’s banged up.

They didnt agree on 2...biggie not here only cause he was injured and not gonna be ready....don't kid yourself

And osh always has...and always will have his favs and bias towrd players...its happened his whole time here and not for the betterment of team..but .makes him feel all warm and fuzzy

I also think he doesn't have the guts and ability to cut ties with players...a bad trait for sure

I'd love to hear why Jake is still on the team. I know he's the lightning rod and there are a few others who need to go, but he's the poster child to whats wrong with this team. I get culture and it's important but that same culture can go sideways quick when guys who can't perform are given their spots over hungrier more capable players.

We are vet laden...sending a.few to the unemployment line won't affect anything...and allows other voices to pick up the slack and become leaders from what they learned here

I think speed meant he's been playing for 200 yrs. Lol
