Buck needs to concentrate on being a HC, first kick at the cat being the OC too is way to much on his plate

  • Suitor will be slobbering all over himself during this game with his two favourites facing off.... I'm not one to cheer for any other West team than us, but **** the Riders always....

A tire fire is being nice about the situation in BC, Rourke will help their offensive issues but who knows what the hell to do with the rest of that team.

Is that a 1 year lease or 2 year lease and how big is the condo :)

If I were in charge in BC I'd have sat by Masoli on the plane back and told him he was no longer in the plans. 2.5 games is enough to see that he hasn't got it anymore.

Yeah masoli has been hot garbage both times he's played. There are better options out there.

Yup unfortunately he just isn’t getting it to the right spots for his playmakers to do their thing. Being a half a foot off makes a world of difference.

I wonder if he is over his head even if he does that? I know he'll get enough rope to hang himself so to speak, but the Lions I'm sure were ecpecting much more from this team. I'm thinking there will definitely be a Buck watch all season.

I gotta also say that even if Rourke had been playing the last few games this team could stil be 0-3 in them. Not good times in Vancouver Pro Sports. Can't see the Canucks much better either 🤮

With Rigmaiden as GM I wouldn't expect the Lions to make a rash decision on Buck, pretty rare for a HC to exceed expectations in his first year.  There wasn't much of a case for firing Campbell IMO, he had them performing at a high level, with only the Bombers being consistently better in the West the last few seasons.

My thoughts as well.

Masoli is done....He literally threw the game away with one interception after the other,,,,You'd think he would have wised up to the fact, that if you throw to the sidelines, and it takes forever to get there, that someone is going to pic it...Looks like he can't run anymore as well, most likely due to the previous leg injuries he has suffered....That all adds up to one thing...or two things really, an apple and a pink slip....See ya and it's been a slice....NOT...Rourke better get well soon

Imagine having originally picked Saskatchewan and asking Rich to switch you to BC this week.  How humiliating.

Maier's not much better, thought maybe there was some hope of him becoming a starter, but clearly not.  Throws a decent ball when planted but goes into all out panic in scramble mode and loses track of his receivers.

Who's the emergency signing in BC?  Dolegala?

Dolegala?  Dukes?  Patterson? Maybe heavy balls?  With all the injuries, no one is going to deal a QB right now so it's gotta be a free agent..

BC just looks awful

BC is just an awful team. They continue to put all their financial resources into their starting qb (Rourke) & his receivers. And a DE who has one skill: rushing the passer. Their defense has basically stayed the same with a smaller DL that has a hard time stopping the run & a secondary that has no support from the Front 7. Ryan Ringmaiden is supposed to be this genius GM who found all our talent in the late teens & early 20's before departing for BC. I see nothing that makes me think he took care of all the holes on the OL & defense. Buck has his work cut out for him.

Perfect example of a game manager. His gold standard is not to turn over the ball and hope the D and ST’s excel.

Maier was able to pull off that victory because BC is just so bad. Had the Riders played the Bombers or Als with their young starter, they'd have lost. Masoli just gave the game away. Never been a fan...

Ouelette won the game for them, Maier rode on his back.

Yep, pretty good assessment. Amazing just how good Ouelette became once Ka'Deem Carey showed up. I will say that Ouelette wouldn't have got the yards he did against the Als or Bombers.

Agree with a lot of your assessment of the BC roster.

To be fair Rigmaiden was only mad GM in Nov 2024 so a lot of the brutal contracts are millstones he inherited.  Obviously I’m not a Lions fan but just for the health and competitiveness of that franchise, I think we see Rigmaiden make his mark over the next offseason and beyond.

BC fans are fickle. They're either all in or all out. Attendance could go to 35-40,000 or fall to 15,000 dpending on the team's performance. And they have an owner spending a lot of money to try to get fans to the games. Ringmaiden was also an Asst GM so he was in on those bad contracts.

Also the same owner that insisted Rourke play over Adams, which ultimately led to VAJ to Calgary and Campbell’s firing.

VAJ and Coach Campbell hugging it out after they played this year tells me that Adam’s knows his demotion wasn’t a coaching decision.

Rigmaiden has been with BC since the start of 2021 in various roles, he's as responsible for player personnel as much as anyone in the Lions organization.  Adding the GM role provides him the ability to choose his coaching staff.
