Elks get smoked...but we hear all about Ford in the loss

Ford over/under 100 passing yards.

I should have picked Davis and Philpot this week.

Hopefully Edmonton is even worse next week.

Elks are brutal. Alexander seems OK but his long throws remind me of Michael Reilly in all of the worst ways.

The Esks/Elks haven’t been good since the Danny Mac era. Yeah they won in 2015 which seemed to be a 1 and done season and still not sure how they won in 15. But they have been a complete dumpster fire since Mac left. 

At some point the Trey Ford experiment should stop. Fajardo might be the starter on their next game.

Wonder if they ever piss test Alexander.

It is comedic at this point to keep sending Ford out there.

He always reads run first before scanning the field for the most part, it's only time before Cody's the starter. 

I missed what happened to Alexander... Anything serious?

Not sure I completely blame Ford yet. This oline is brutal.

He is not good. Dude makes it worse by holding onto the ball too long and when he feels pressure he moves out of the pocket instead of stepping into it, he’s always going to take a lot of sacks unless he learns to get rid of the ball faster and becomes more comfortable under pressure.

He doesn’t seem to have enough time to hold on to the ball lol. 

His Oline doesn't help him. And he doesn't help his Oline. It's a match made in hell.

Why wouldn’t they go for two there? It’s still a three score game now.

On a side note... how is it that the cfl.ca site in 2025 still cannot display stats properly?  I remember going online and looking at game stats 20 years ago and was able to see every stat easily...  yet last year for half of the season they had no stats and then this year they can't even display more then one qb at a time...

Ive made a huge mistake.

Ford either can't...or won't sit in the pocket to let things develop if initial read isnt there....is it he can't read a defense....or he cant make throws from pocket to throw guys open....either way...if he not able to do anything other than school yard stuff I don't see much a future with him as a starting QB...And people say say Strev has a funky throwing motion but Fords is weird as ****....horrible mechanics and I see a shoulder injury coming at some point

Ford is good when the other team has a huge lead and wants the game to end quicker. Aka garbage time.

Nah. He's got a giant paycheck and is the highest paid DB in the CFL. Playing with his brother is small advantage. Short CFL career and it's good to take the money when you can.

Maybe but a nice balance between money and winning may be preferred by most. It appeared like him leaving to play with his bro was a forgone conclusion. Who knows what/if the Bombers were even given the chance to hit him with their best shot money wise.

259 of those yards when they were down by 3 scores or 2 scores under 3 mins.

Even if the Bombers were given a chance to sign him... half a mil on one RB and one CB isn't going to give you much flexibility in overall roster construction.

I guess they could have went the Lions route and loaded them up with that sweet sweet marketing money.

According to CFL fantasy football, Alexander didn't even play. He's marked as *DNP*.
