2025 CFL (Non-Bombers) Season

From 3DN about TSN broadcasts this year....

"The CFL on TSN is taking a renewed approach to its broadcasts for 2025.

The network’s panel will travel to all nine stadiums over the course of the upcoming season, sources told 3DownNation, including visits to Regina and Montreal in Week 1. Kate Beirness is returning to host the panel with Henoc Muamba and Davis Sanchez filling the main roles alongside her.

Paul LaPolice will also frequently appear on the panel, though he will also perform colour commentary for one game per week. As previously reported, longtime panelist and Hall of Fame quarterback Matt Dunigan is no longer with the network.

As for Milt Stegall, who has been with the network since 2009, there is no timeline for his return after the death of his eldest son, Chase. The 20-year-old died unexpectedly at DePaul University on Monday where he was a member of the school’s soccer team.

“Our CFL on TSN family is absolutely devastated over Chase’s passing. If you know Milt, you know that his family is everything to him, and we cannot imagine the pain he is going through right now,” said producer Chris Edwards in a statement to 3DownNation. “Milt is our brother and we are going to give him our love and support him in any way we can, and in whatever way he needs.”

During a broadcast teeing up the 2025 season on Tuesday, TSN dedicated its coverage this year to Chase’s memory.

TSN plans to flesh out the panel by rotating in active players, though it doesn’t appear as though this will happen every week. Players will generally make panel appearances during bye weeks, though there may also be opportunities for in-studio appearances when players are in town to play the Argonauts or Tiger-Cats.

Friday Night Football, a longtime network staple, will have a brand new presentation featuring fresh animations, graphics, and music. One source called the scope of the production “bigger.”

The play-by-play personnel at the network has remained unchanged for 2025, featuring Rod Smith, Dustin Nielson, Marshall Ferguson, and occasionally Farhan Lalji. Colour commentary will be performed by Glen Suitor, Duane Forde, and LaPolice."

Honestly the main selling point of the CFL are the timing rules of the final 3 minutes.  And arguably the most boring part of any NFL game when a team with a one score lead can just bleed the clock un

should have added talent....starter talent

I dont think he is a big voice toward his own players tho....and rarely if ever seen Kramdi send a message withing the rules....some cheap shots tho

When that B.C player head shotted ..I think Woli??....Sheed kept it in his mind and buried him later....ending his season.....he also had some message sending blocks within the box too in bhis time here

Jalon Edwards-Cooper I believe.  Also kept him out for most of the next season too!

Looking at what Qbs are locked up right now, it will be difficult to be in a better place in 2 years after just mediocrity.

Yup...uphill battle...I think ZC needs to be on a short leash and Strev worked with and see if can develop...tailor the offence more to him...

Done right he can I sure be more than serviceable...plus he is leas than 12 months post op....once he really back to form...maybe by late season...definitely next yr....you will see more of his old style and movement back

People Can't fault the guy or be too critical of him now...hes just back from surgery...and gets tossed into game in an offence not geared to him...with sub par group of playmaker...U seen the potential first game and the offence kinda geared to him...quicker pace...ball out fast...and without BO as well...I bet if we were to have continued with that he would look even more polished...Can't write  him off by any means currently....ZC tho...I dunno...he may be another good whallop when he gets back to out for yr...and it will obviously be in his head now...we already seen it when he got rattled against the Elks...jittery...panicking almost immediately..all the int's started...gonna get worse now...if he out a few games and we see progress in Strev..and tailor scheme...and personel more to him...and he getting wins...I'd roll with that until he shows its time not to in all honesty...

That’s a career ender at his age.

Almost definitely. He was a scrap heap pickup prior to the injury, it is hard to imagine anyone giving him a serious look next year.

So Jake Ceresna had his knee pop out on a play, gets it popped back in and he ends up needing the cart to get him off the field later in the game. And yesterday he was listed as a full participant and is available for tomorrow.

Is there some place I can make a prop bet that he gets carted off again this week?

Where is player safety?

Davis Alexander has been six-gamed.  :(

Hate to see the best young QB in the league sidelined like that.  Big blow to the Als, esp with MBT regressing badly this year.

I got a prop bet that someone will make an ancestors joke here.  buy my lunch, MBB

(speaking of betting, I called it all, although I was a few weeks late on Fajardo, and McCheese hasn't gotten manured yet.)

Seriously can we not offer Jake Thomas for Taylor Powell at this point?

I don’t believe Ted was around back in the 90s when Jake was drafted. 2025 minus 13 = 2012 was when he was drafted 29th overall, the bombers 5th pick of the draft at that point but here’s the thing, the only guy the bombers drafted that year who had himself a cfl career. Tyson pencer was 3rd overall. Joe Mack was GM.

Tyson Pencer. Johnny Aprille. Christo Bilukidi. Rene Stephan. Jake Thomas.

a trade for Powell would likely involve a draft pick like 3rd 4th 5th  rd and prob rights to neg list guy.
