Dru Brown - they had him in the building for 3 years. Either they figured he didn't have what it took to be a consistent starter or the timelines didn't match. I don't think anyone really expected Collaros to free fall as he did so immediately Janarian Grant - Too old. Picked up a injury prone designation because Buck decided to run him up the middle. The adage "better to let them go one year too early than one year too late" might apply here if it had ever been applied to anyone else. Kenny Lawler - Very expensive and kind of mercurial. The bet was between him and Schoen staying healthy and using the money you'd spend on Kenny on the rest of the roster... But the Bombers two big gets got to hang out on the 1-game until recently. Besides... Even if Kenny were here who would get the ball to him? He is looking good in part of all the deep balls he is grabbing and the Bombers are near-last in that aspect of the offense. wasnt so much a case of Schoen being healthy...was the fact he may not even be ready, and if he was "ready" was less than a yr removed from surgery and every football person knows that coming back from that injury a lot of times...basically most times you are not the same player for at minimum half a yr after you are actually back in the field,,,more often than not a full yr....so that was a flawed and basically stupid decision...should have signed both....and made the dollars work...and we could have and eased Schoen in somewhat as opposed to hoping and depending on him to be your elite WR Piggy 1 1

That is a nasty, nasty knee injury. I know as I suffered thru the same injury. Dumb decision to let Lawler go. There were guys out there who could have helped us. But we signed no one. Well, we did sign Mitchell but he's been on the outs with his OC & Osh all season so they parked him & his $300,000 contract on the practice roster until last game where he really didn't do a lot with just 30 yards receiving. Some of the off season decisions have been so bad that Walters & Osh need to answer for their stupidity. I see no accountability whatsoever. JuranBoldenRules Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago Study on NFL players says coming off ACL players don't return to same rate of both participation and production until year 3 post-injury on average....that is the guys that last long enough to get to year 3. rebusrankin, Noeller and Booch 1 1 1

So for our plan to replace Lawler and essentially Schoen's production we sign a guy (White Jr) who had an even worse injury than Schoen, re-upped Schoen ( we should have just 6 gamed him 1 or 2 times to ensure he was a bit more re-habbed) picked up Sterns who couldn't crack Sask roster (and last yr we had a better unit than them) and at best is a nice 3rd or 4th import option, and threw a big chunk at Mitchell and then promptly sat him as we made an excuse or 3 about him...or just didn't know how to use and implement him (take your pick) We brought in a nice group of new guys, then promptly cut them all and kept a guy Case who couldn't stay on roster here last yr, and when did get back on showed exactly why he couldn't claim a spot again...so really have to question the smarts and capabilty of our coaching and management at this point...cause man thats just brutal Blue28, rebusrankin and wbbfan 3

SectionKBlackout Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Was listening to @DTonOB this morning on the morning show and he had a very telling stat that really shows our ineptitude at offense. Since the B.C. game where we scored 10 points, we've scored a grand total of 9 points in the third quarter. As he said, that shows other teams are adjusting and we are...... not. I think people would maybe give him some more rope if there was glimpses of brilliance, but instead it seems like there is 0. Throw in that ridiculous statement to the media about Strevler and he's just not going to get any goodwill. Would be nice to hear some accountability or some encouragement that things are changing but all we get is the "we see the mistakes and will fix them". Tracker and rebusrankin 2

Hogan's responsible for all of it, but "adjusting" when any given play half the guys on the field are useless and you can't execute anything basic is overstated. This is probably the worst group of players on O we've rolled with since 2014. Yeah some of them have been good in their careers but no one is overly reliable and consistent anymore. Noeller 1
