Like our 4 QBs. Chase should sit on the pr and get time down there until elgersma comes available any way.

Agree, Chase Artopeus had that Dru Brown vibe, cool and intelligent, maybe not as physically gifted as Wilson but almost surpassed him in effectiveness in one set of downs.  They need to keep him around on the PR to evaluate whether he has real potential to develop or if he's just a gifted improviser that can get by faking it for awhile.

Summer is here... Very excited for what I think is going to be a very good Bombers D. Hoping the O can be at least "decent" and we'll be a real "tough out" in 2025...

Cooley might have to spend time on the PR biding his time waiting for a chance that might never come, Peterson already looks quite capable of backing up Brady, so it comes down to ratio.

I'd love to see Pigrome and Cooley on the field at the same time, that would be fun.

1. Cooley......yeah the ratio, but another game like that, and he will have to be kept.

2.  Artopoeous......nice pocket instinct, good reads, ball out on time.

3.  Evan......punter, with some actual leg.

Vets:

1.  Adams......need more impact plays from interior, and he looks like the man for the job.

2.  Strev......looked good standing in the pocket, and slinging the ball.

3.  Ayers.....dude popped out on the screen, at LB, a number of times

Like:

The blitzing and pressure packages on D.  None of that Tim Burke crap

All the QBs looking pretty good in the pocket

No like:

Kick returns and coverage (sigh)

Some of the receivers.......poor releases, poor pattern running, poor catching.

And if you look at total yards gained on kick and punt returns since we let Grant get away, Bombers are just about the worst in the league. This, despite the fact we force opponents to kick to us more often than virtually every other team - credit our defence for forcing those 3rd down punts. Really, that is an opportunity squandered: more punts coming to us, but among fewest yards gained. Bomber fans see this intuitively - we are getting lots of chances to return the ball but often losing the overall field position battle.

Yeah yeah.  The feelings are hard.

Whole league is within 3 yards net on punts last season, 36-39 yards.  Everyone right around 10-11 yards per return, difference is a team like Toronto with Grant having a big play return every other game on average.

Edmonton 6 yards ahead of anyone else on net punting last year, but also highest net against.  Net exchange, barely positive.  Sask punted 25 times more than us last season, us and BC punting significantly less.

Yeah you want to be best in the league, but it's not like we have some giant deficiency.

We need a returner.

Net punt is deceiving tho...how many times have u seen a punter kick from between the 20 and 30 right out of scoring range...and our punter guy gets it to midfield...who cares if the net is on par when u still giving up instant scoring position...happened way too often last yr

And they said hey..hey never kicked a single...prob cause he needed to be kicking from their 40 to get it there in endzone...so big whip..and how many games have we seen those extra 1..2 points being the difference or reason for a win...a ton

So what the odd time u get the single and

Logan is among the most dynamic returners in the CFL, his problem is staying healthy.  At one time the Stamps had Kadeem Carey, Dedrick Mills and Logan as backup, but they were rarely healthy at the same time so their running game never dominated like they could have with all that talent.

He has a disproportionate amount of shanks from deep in our end that give instant field goal range.

Yep, we need a kr stop gap. Logan will be an excellent kr when healthy. We need a guy who runs up, catches and every ball possible, goes north south and gets consistently decent yards. 
 I think vaval should be that guy. I’m also not at all against using our by week and this week to try out guys for a worst case scenario. 
 

I think we need wr talent more than kr right now. Both ni and imp. We should be getting ready to go through other teams cuts really well. I haven’t seen any thing from the rookie imo wrs that even looks like in a year they might be good.

Hall looked like he had some chemistry with Zach and chemistry with Zach is important, honestly prob more important than other factors. If there’s 2 open spots you go with the 2 Zach likes best. Pretty simple.
